Would that not be amazing? That's a big ol plus for August. Jenna could swing it too due to hers not missing more school.

One of the reasons we wanted Oct 2010 was for the Race for the Taste which they aren't doing after this year. But rumor has it that they are combining 2 small races into a big race hopefully in October.

Well I'm sure we could arrange a few races up to the bar for some tastey cocktails or we could make dinner ressies in some far flung place and the person that gets there first is the winner...I'll even bring along some medals to make it interesting

Well I want to say that I have been reading but I haven't had had time to comment. I get to make my adr's (or whatever they are called now) on Sat.

You see it has to be Aug'11, now you HAVE TO listen because Jordan is one of the most knowledgeable and wise people on the Dis so you have to take his advice seriously.

I have been working on my pros/cons list for both Oct 2010/Aug 2011 and Dec 2010/Oct 2011.

Can we see said list...if I'm on the cons side I will totally cry

I don't mind 2 times out of school, but I guess it's more mindset. If you go in August, the kids might have a week or two after vacation to relax before starting school again. Going during school, it may be in the back of their minds or they may have assignments to do while on vacation or extra work to do to catch up when they get back.

Maybe it's different for kids. Vacation is vacation no matter when it is...just something to think about.

The first AP is good for 12 months so that would put us at Oct 2010-Oct 2011 but the renewals are good for 15 months so that would put us at Oct 2011- Jan 2012. Much to think about!

• Food and Wine Festival October 2010 yummy

• October 2010 sooner than December 2010 and if you're anything like me you're not the most patient of people
• New Disney race TBA in October 2010 can't see the attraction of all that excercise but YAY anyway
• October is a great time to golf for DH as above, can't see the attraction but YAY Micahel
• Missing school for only one of the trips extra responsible parent points...always handy to bank some
• Kirsteen et al in August 2011 ...now where do I start? Please, please, please,... I am relieved you didn't make this a negative
• Will be there for Joshua’s bday and our anniversary August 2011 Love celebrating in WDW
• August is bloody hot It's totally managable...we come from Scotland and we didn't have any problems
• Crowded in August Actually wasn't too bad this year, with some good planning in place we didn't wait any longer that 45mins (less for most of them)
• More points needed for August as it’s peak season can't argue with that one
• Possible Free dining again in August making ADRs more difficult why do you think we're so keen to go then...didn't have any problems getting any of our ressies including the much sought after dinner at Le Cellier

You don't need permission from anyone to take your kids on a family vacation. This is a real pet peeve of mine. Our school district has tried many times to tell us we can't do vacations, but they've been told a few times where they can stick that idea.

It was alot harder last year with Evan being in high school, but I never had problems with elem or middle school. We either get the homework early enough that they do it before we leave or on the plane. Maybe I'm a bad mom, but I don't worry about them missing school for one second.

DVC members staying on points cannot take advantage of Free Dining; packages only. And we'd have APs too. But I could get the TIW card.

I was going to do the CP package but now it is 2 credits and very expensive. I think I will just go stand in line for this. I expect crowds but I don't think it will as bad as it will be later on in the month.

Done bothe and enjoyed both but Le Cellier if you can get the ressie is outstanding...this was actually our favourite meal just based on the food. Ohana's was a close second as it had the whole package.

I agree with you on Tony's we love it and were not disappointed on our return there this year

We love, love, love Tonys and I quite happily recommend it. Scrummy food in a very cute setting

HDDR was so much fun. The food was good and plentiful and the entertainment was so much fun, the girls were hooting with laughter through out the show.

Hmmm now I have no idea what to do!?!?! Brown Derby or HDDR? I am torn. I want to do both. I will definitely let you all know how it goes. I will post pictures too from the CC Train. I am planing on going early so I don't have to wait in line too long.
