MMMM So Good! Trip Report #2, Jon turns 39, again!

I did sing the Morning Song to one of my assists at work and she said that I was turning in Disney (insert word that means person selling herself)

I am confused. You are turning into a Disney Wally?

I am so sorry to leave everyone hangin'! Im so so so sorry...I was so worn out last night. This has been a long week at work.......plus Jon has the Amazon Jungle growing on one of our decks and I've spent all late afternoon watering.....

And DIS will only let me post 25 images, so Im gonna have to cut down on the smilies....

OK! We saw Fairy Godmother and she was getting ready to leave...I never got our picture with her! Anyway....

It was time for lunch. We had no breakfast...just coffee. We decided on eating lunch with Bill....Pecos Bill that is....

DSCN2085.jpg

We were there 1st thing....and we liked it here. Love the fixin's bar. It was pretty good for a counter service. We liked it way better than Cosmic Rays...and the CMs were freindly here too...

We got the same thing....surprise surpise! Oh, we used the touch screen ordering system and it was really cool....fast service....

DSCN2078.jpg

They had everything on the fixings bar....we loaded up our burgers with just about everything.

DSCN2079.jpg

Yes, we were shroomin'!!!! And they have cheese for your fries....yum! yum! Jon got chocolate pudding and I got the carrot cake. It was okay....This was the 1st burger we both had in a very long time.....so we both loved it! (So good that I gained 2 pounds as of this morning)

When we were finishing up dinner, Jon started running his fingers through my hair.....and he was getting that look in his eye. That look in his eye is the look of when he wants to start cutting my hair. Then all of sudden he says, "Okay...let's go to Main Street! I wanna get a hair cut and you are getting one too!"

"You wanna do what???" I was about pass out when I heard him say that. Jon has been a hair stylist for 22 years now.....and he is really picky on who he gets to cut his hair....as for me, I have no choice. It's him and only him. For the past 6 years, Jon has cut my hair. I had been trying to let my hair grow out a little as you can tell in the pics.

So we empty our food trays at Pecos Bill's and headed out towards Main Street.

I wanted to do POC and we did. There was like a 10 minute wait so we hopped on that. Jon was getting so anxious to go see the barber....I really didn't get to shop around in the store that POC has after you get of the ride.

So, off to Main Street we went....

I wanted to take some pics on the way......

DSCN2074.jpg

I wanted to ride Jungle Curise, but the guests started to pour in and it was getting really crowded.....

Okay, I hope I do not offend anyone....but I have to post this....

DSCN2076.jpg

They were everywhere we turned while heading to Main St. I have no clue who they are....at first, I thought they were entertainment or a parade or something like that....I walked up to one these groups when they were gathered in the street singing. The flags confused me I guess....I thought it was some sort of side show.....they love to sing, clap, and run over people.

DSCN2082.jpg

Again, I hope that I don't make anyone upset...but there were thousands of these type of groups at MK that afternoon. And they have every right to visit just like you and I, but people please, don't push me trying to keep up with your flag leader!!!!:headache:

DSCN2080.jpg

This is when I thought they were official entertainment for Disney.....I wanted to take a picture. Then another lady told me they were international students and they come to WDW all the time...and they come in heards.....

You learn something new all the time.....

We made it to Main Street.....it was a beautiful day!

DSCN2088.jpg

We made it to the Barber Shop.....It was time to get groomed and here is the before picture...

DSCN2092.jpg

DSCN2097.jpg

We were greeted by these handsome gentlemen.....

And the Fire Cheif was there too!
DSCN2090.jpg

Papa Bear wouldn't let me trade pins with him b/c he had on a green pin lanyard....

DSCN2094.jpg

We were able to hop right into the chairs....

DSCN2096.jpg

At first, Jon did not tell the barber he was a hair dresser.....

DSCN2099.jpg

But they became very fast friends...his name is Rex and he was SO nice! Rex finally asked Jon, "So, what do you do back in NC?" And Jon told him and he just stood back and said...."Really?" And chattered on and on.....Long story short, Jon wants to cut hair at Disney.....LOL!

It was my turn, but I didn't get Rex, I got this sweet gal and I can not remember her name to save my life and I thought I wrote it down....

DSCN2100.jpg

She is from New York and she has been doing hair for as long as Jon. Rex has been doing hair for about 30 years and he mentioned that he helped open Disney in Japan....that was cool to hear! My gal was sweet too. She was asking me about the NC Mountains and how life was there. Then I told her were I worked and we just chatted while she did her thing.....

DSCN2104.jpg

So, how do we look.....????

Jon gave me a once over and said my gal did really good! He gave Rex 2 thumps up also! We really did enjoy this experience....we will do again if we ever need haircuts while in the MK!

We left MK....b/c it was getting so packed! So, we both decided to head back to WL.....

Here we are sportin' our new looks on the boat back home....

Up next....Pool Time with a cabana boy named Mr. Chuckwagon.....

Getting a hair cut at the MK "used" to be one of my favorite things to do! :thumbsup2

Not sure if you know this, but back in the day, Center Street, the street half way down Main Sreet on the right, used to cross over Main Street and the Barber Shop was all the way down on the left, very well hidden. It was very much a "boys club" then. Nothing but grown men, no kids! Now that they have moved it, it's kind of become a kids club! But oh well, it's still a once and a life time experience to get your hair cut there!

For those of you who are firefighters, you may want to check out the fire station right across the street from the Barber Shop, another hidden gem! And BTW this is where you will find your pet gifts at the the MK.

Very handsome!
I am getting to the point where I think I may have to take DS to my salon. These cheapy chains just aren't working for me. Had his hair cut last Saturday, and we were back in there on Monday because his bangs were still hanging in his eyes. I do think a trim at the Main St. barbershop would be fun for him. By the end of our trip I bet his hair will need it!

DH is in the "plain ol' head" boat with Mike. ;)

Ah, yes. The Brazilians. The very reason we will NEVER go to WDW in July! I am sorry you were engulfed by them.

Brazilians!!!! I'd heard they were talked to and toned down. I guess not. I hope they didn't adversely affect your day. These groups really could do with more chaperones.

I volunteer for the locker room interviewer position :yay:

Wally...:lmao:

I would pay too! I keep thinking of the interview Olympia did in Steel Magnolias....she in was the locker room with Weezer....:lmao:

Never had a banana I didn't like....

:lmao: Wally, I may need you the next time Im shopping for produce....

OK well I should really log off, I have things to do!

(Translated, I dont want to be around when Jeff see's what we did to his TR)

It's all good, Im just thinking what all the lurkers are saying!! LOL!

Wait! You can't leave me hanging like that! What a tease!!!

I have always wanted to see MK in the Morning..but I am so NOT a morning person and neither is Tara, my usual companion. Maybe this time when I go with James...he's always up early and will bring me coffee to entice me out of bed.....then back in again ;)

I sorry I had to do that...I was beat from work!!!

It's worth it getting up and heading to MK like that. Such a nice quite morning, then around 11am, watch out!!! The crowds seem to start pouring in!!!

You are getting your butt up and out early in Feb. woman!

Okay, I wanna hear more about this February trip.....Rosie gave me a little info....Jon and I are already looking at dates for our winter trip....we wanna make the best with our APs!!!

you stop NOW??

I had popcorn and everything cuz you promised it would be good!! popcorn::

I sorry! But I came back with more later though! And I have a lot more to do!!! Oh, btw, I have to work on Aug.2! :sad1: Out of all the Sundays I am off, and look what happens, we just have a lot folks on vacation and I have to do what a supervisor has to do....

I am confused. You are turning into a Disney Wally?

LOL! I better stand back...I see a slap coming your way....

I'm for rent - not for sale.

Renting is good, what are your terms....?

:lmao:

I can snake your pipes.

:lmao:

Darn, I am in no need of that!

:rotfl2:

I could clean your clock?

:rotfl:

Hmmm nope, Don't need that...
But I do need my dogs walked!

OH! What kind of babies do you have???

Well, I think we are planning on hittin it again....I hope we get the same CM from that day, I know they switch around....Rex and the other gal were so awesome!

I love your information..Mike....;)

Dashing. Disninguished. Handsome.

I've said it before, but you two are just the cutest couple!

Thank you Rob!!! You are so sweet! And I am trying to get Jon to read your Wedding Journal....he can't get into the whole message board blog thingies...

I second the dashing:thumbsup2...but...

no pixie dust or splash of color with your cuts???:confused3

Well, she offered and I declined...I wanted to say yes and Jon said no! I had a box of Christmas Ornaments fall on me one time and I had glitter in my hair for weeks even after shampooing 2 times on some days!!!

Very handsome!

Jon is getting a lot youngsters right at the pre-teen years...he doen't do little kids, but he is getting cleints right at 12 years....boys and girls....you have to watch some of the chains...mostly employs the ones right out of school go their to "practice." They have to start somewhere! You may find a jewel sometimes....and Jon sees it just about everyday someone comes in for correction....he sometimes can help but he refers them to another stylist in his salon when he is busy...

Try the barber shop in MK if you can....yall will love it and go around 12ish if you can, the entertainment is nice! The CMs that are in their were wonderful! DS and you will enjoy it.....I promise! Your trip is coming up right???

And I love a "plain ol' head" ,its sexy to me for the men that can carry it off, like a few men on here I know...;)

I was told by a few former CMs that I work with now that the folks from Brazil were hard to control....we didn't let them bother us though...but they were annoying as heck. All the chanting...singing....hopping in lines, holding places in line and the making their way through the ques catching up with their pack (happened a lot in January) But I do think Jon and I have a idea what we will be dressing up as for MNSSHP.....;) Im already thinking of tee shirt ideas...;)

Brazilians!!!! I'd heard they were talked to and toned down. I guess not. I hope they didn't adversely affect your day. These groups really could do with more chaperones.

Well, it didn't work. I remember seeing them in January....I was told then it was a soccer tournament was going on and thats why they were all there.....but I guess they are there all the time? :confused3 Any info on when they are not there would be great!!!

Should be finishing up sometime tonight, hopefully.....

Thanks to you all for joining in!!!! I love telling about our trip....;)
