Looking at picture of a CSR room with 2 queen beds, 1 ottomum, a desk and 1 chair, 1 dresser with falt screen TV on top.....
best way to arrange furniture to get a twin size areo bed in the room (we are 4 people - but DS 17 does not sleep with DD 14).

Could I move the ottomum between the TV/dressser and bathroom wall and also push the desk & chair closer to the TV/dresser ?

Is the furniture bolted to the floor or attached to the wall ?

Thanks !

The desk is bolted to the wall. Beds do not move either. I think maybe you can squeeze one under the window or over near the bathroom. Hopefully someone who has actually tried it will post for you.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's posted info and photos on this thread. I debated for days over whether to stay at CSR (the theme originally left me cold, but the idea of renovated rooms and queen beds swayed me), but now I can't wait to get there! It looks so beautiful. I really hope I get a room in the Cabanas.

Couldn't Mom sleep with DD and Dad sleep with DS?

I know that you can move the ottomans. JamesLynn, who won't be on for awhile, indicated you could fit a pack & play in front of the window, so I'm sure you can get a twin size aero bed there.

I read a few pages back that CSR now has the generic refillable mugs - can anyone tell what the price is of them please? I am only asking as in March the CSR mugs were cheaper than then the other resorts but I guessing they are going to be the same now.

Can't wait to be back at CSR! :goodvibes

We paid 12.99 for our mugs, but they were the CSR Pepper Market mugs. That was the week of June 22, so I don't know if it's changed since then.....

We were there last week and also had a twin air-bed in the room. There are 2 ottomans - we moved one between the dresser & bathroom wall as you mentioned and the other one into the bathroom where it served as a sort of shelf for our toiletries. The air-bed fit right in front of the window. My 2 DS's are 10 & 13 and youngest moves all around so they don't like to sleep together either and neither DH or I want to sleep with either of them, so I completely understand where you're coming from!

We spent 7 nights at CSR with DH, me, DS10 & DS13 July 4-11. To understand our WDW history, we've always stayed offsite when the kids have been with us at a condo or townhome with multiple bedrooms/bathrooms & a kitchen. DH & I have stayed at Port Orleans, Pop Century, All Star Music, and the Dolphin on trips alone without the kids. We really weren't sure how we'd all do in a single hotel room but the buy 4, get 3 special convinced us to give it a try. It was the queen beds at CSR that were our main reason for choosing it as DH & I absolutely cannot share a double bed (& we won't sleep with the kids), and we couldn't justify the cost of a deluxe resort.

We requested Casitas building 5 upper floor, and did online check-in. We arrived at the resort about 8:30 in the morning, and we were assigned exactly what we requested, but found that it was right by the elevator when I asked about specific location. We had a horrible night at Pop Century in June when DH & I were right by the elevator and we heard noise outside all night long and fortunately switched rooms after the first night. I explained our past experience to the CM checkin us in and he was very kind to search for another room. He found a room in Casitas 5 that was away from the elevator on the 2nd floor, so we said we't take that! Room wasn't ready, but they took our cell number and called with a message with the room # later.

We were in room 5255 which was a wonderful location for us! We drove ourselves to every park except MK and we could park at the very end of the parking lot right next to stairs and easily walk up to 2nd floor to our room. It was the room next to the corner room and although view didn't matter at all to me and I would have been content with a parking lot view, we had a nice view of a courtyard fountain as well as the lake. It was obscured by trees, so I don't know if it was oficially a water-view or not (we booked standard).

We visited the main pool several times and the DS's really enjoyed their time there. We never visited the main building after checking in, but we did get to see Glenn the gator while we were there which thrilled my boys! We were not on the dining plan and kept milk, juice, and breakfast food in our room, which worked out OK. The dresser space was pretty full and cluttered with our food stuff, but it worked out OK. DH actually removed the cabinet door where the mini-frig was because I'd read that you had to keep it open in order for the frig to cool adequately, and it was really in the way with it open. We always pack a small tool kit and it only took him a few minutes to remove it and put it back on before we left.

The sliding doors between the bathroom and bedroom really helped so that DH & I could get ready in the morning without waking the boys until a little later.

Our overall assessment was favorable and we would definitely stay at CSR in the future if we could get a good deal again! I certainly wouldn't pay Disney's rack rates because we'd stay at our usual 3 bedroom townhome for under $100 a night before I'd do that. We have AP's now, but purchased 10 day non-expiring tickets with plus options with the Disney package and we'll use those tickets in the future. With the buy 4, get 3 special on those tickets, our room rate worked out to be about $85 a night which was less than I could get a townhome/condo for this trip. In the future, I might pay slightly more to stay at CSR than a townhome for a trip with the 4 of us, but it would have to be a pretty good special offered by Disney.

Let me know of any questions, and I'm glad to share info about our stay!

Thanks so much for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the CSR and that your kids liked the pool and that you were able to see Glen! Any pics to share?

Why oh why do I keep torturing myself by looking at this thread ???? Just when I have myself convinced that I know where I want to stay next May, I read about another resort and start second guessing myself !! Our son will be almost 7 next May, when we are planing our next trip, and I REALLY like the idea of the pirate rooms at CBR - then I come here, and read about CSR, and think that it sounds so much better. Have any of you stayed at both - and if so, can you please convince me which we would like best ?? :) There's dh54, me46 and ds7. We stayed at POFQ for our first trip this past May, and loved it (despite the rain), but want to try a different moderate this time. Help !!

We have not stayed at the CBR. I must be honest and say I have no desire to. I don't care for the food court or the theme of the resort, and especially not the new rooms. However, I don't have small children any more. If I had young boys and they wanted to stay in a pirate room, I am sure I would have considered it. Our oldest son just got back from the CBR. He enjoyed his stay (he was not in a pirate room, but one of the Nemo rooms); said the pool design was very neat, but also very crowded (he is 23 and was there with 13 and 14 year old boys for a baseball tournament--he coaches)--lots of young kids. I asked him if he would have a problem staying at the CBR again and he said no, but he honestly missed the CSR as he preferred the food, the fitness center, pool and thinks the resort is prettier at night.

All of that being said, if your son is into pirates and you think he'd really like one of those rooms, then go for it. You can always try the CSR next time.

We have stayed at CBR once and CSR twice. We prefer CSR. CSR never seems crowded. They have a great pool and 22 person hot tub. The busses seem to be less crowded than CBR. I didn't like CBR and won't stay there again.

We've stayed at CBR 1 time and CSR 37 times so I'm sure you can guess which is our favorite resort! :) Anyway, we'll be back this weekend for a few days, I have a BOD meeting there.....is there anything I can get anyone???

I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at CSR. We are staying there in September for the first time and plan on requesting Casitas 5, top floor. We are also driving ourselves to the parks so I'm glad to hear that this is a good location for parking. :goodvibes

Me too! Here's how my DS sleeps...

Now that I've figured out how to post pics, here's why I won't pay extra for a water-view room again. My "water view" at CBR...

:lmao: Sorry.

I would have been really mad!!!!

I probably would've complained if I cared about the water view. We only booked a water-view room there because it was the only room-type available at a value or moderate during free dining that year (we were a little late booking). We saved so much with the free dining, that I let it go. Plus, the room was ready at 7 AM when we got there. :)

I just know better now than to intentionally pay extra for the view. ;)
