Easter Crowds + Lots of Fun Anyway= One Magical Trip and a Completed Trip Report!!:)

Argh, I wish I could see the pictures, but !YAY! on paying off the trip! Always a fabulous milestone!

I'm so happy it's finally paid off!!!:goodvibes But now I'm starting to panic a little because.....I still have a big list of things to do and buy.:rolleyes1 How is your list coming along?

Wahoo for being paid off!!:woohoo: That's a great feeling.:)

You did a great job with your shirts. I love the Minnie head one.:lovestruc

I know...such a great feeling to finally have it paid off!! Thanks for the compliment on the shirts:goodvibes The Minnie head one is my favorite too!! Can't wait to wear it!!:cloud9:

Hip Hip Hooray! Knowing that your vacation is paid in full is the best feeling! :cool1: It's just an ahhhh moment.

Love the shirts. There is no way in the world I could ever get my family to wear t-shirts I made.

It's definitely the best feeling, knowing everything is finally paid off. The trip feels so much closer now!!!:woohoo:

Thanks :goodvibes I think the shirts turned out cute!! I usually try to make some for every trip and so far they have all agreed to wear them.:thumbsup2 I even convinced my parent's and brother to wear one for our trip. But unfortunately I didn't get any pics of their shirts before I gave the shirts to them. The only thing that my guys requested is to make sure they didn't have their names on them or any silly phrases this time. :rotfl:

Hi, I jus found your trip report last night and I'm all caught up. Great going! I wanted to know how you made the t-shirts, I'd love to give it a try for our trip in December.

Hi--:welcome: So glad you joined in.:goodvibes I got the designs over on the Creative Disigns board. My designs came from these threadshttp://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1786459 and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1777391 I usually just click on the links in their signature (for photobucket) and you will find a ton of great designs. Then you can request how you want your shirt to look. (They are so awesome over there!!) Save it, print it, then iron it on your shirt. There are a ton of other designers over there too. But I will warn you--You could spend days looking through all the designs there are so many wonderful ones.:goodvibes I hope this helps.;)

It's well... ahem, not really changed since that one big shopping trip a few weeks ago. I'm starting to panic a teensy bit too, the kind where you're-almost-asleep-at-night-and-suddenly-become-wide-awake-because-you've-realized-all-you-still-have-to-do panic. :scared:

Thank you, it really does help. I may have to try and make 3 shirts for our trip.

Just found your report - it sounds like a great trip so far :thumbsup2
Your sons are adorable and the t-shirts are great - I know my girls would have loved that, but my DH not so much!
Can't wait to hear how your day at DHS went.

April 20th--Day 5

Disney's Hollywood Studios

When I left off, we were just finishing up breakfast at Chef Mickey's and on our way to catch a bus for DHS. We didn't get to spend alot of time here last year. We visited it on our first day and it was so hot and so crowded that it was really hard to enjoy the park, not too mention although we love this park--it seems to have a weird layout to us. We always get turned around in this park....hmmm....maybe it's because we just haven't spent as much time here as the others. Who knows....:confused3

Anyways, since we knew we weren't going to be arriving right at opening, because of breakfast. The first thing we wanted to do when we got there was to grab fastpasses for Toy Story Mania. Upon entering the park, I took a quick picture walking in. The time stamp on my camera says 9:25am--
100_0993.jpg

I immediately got in line for fastpasses for TSM but unfortunately the machine must have jammed or something because someone had to come over and fix it. I would have moved to another line but they were all pretty long, so I stayed put. (This was actually the second time this happened to me--it also happened when I was getting fastpasses for Soarin') I'm sure it happens alot though, with the amount of use they get. It was finally fixed and I could grab our fastpasses, return time said 11:42am. DS6 wanted to see Playhouse Disney, DS9 not so much. We had planned to separate at this point so DS9 could do something that he wanted to do but he ended up agreeing to see it so off we went to wait in line since the show started at 10:00am. Here is a pic of the outside of Playhouse Disney--

The show was cute overall especially if you loved these characters. DH did not like that we had to sit on the floor to watch but the rest of us didn't mind. It wasn't too bad except for the beginning when all we heard was "Can you move forward, please.", "Can you keep moving forward", "Forward, please" so it felt like you were being pushed into the people in front of you. I understand that they are trying to get as many people as they can in so they enjoy the show too.But....boy they really crowd you in.:rolleyes1 Finally the show began--A few pics from Playhouse Disney---

DS enjoying the show....

My friends Tigger and Pooh.

After Playhouse Disney, we decided to check out the Animation Building for Meet and Greet. Our goal was to find the Incredibles who DS6 loves and had yet to see. But the boys also wanted to meet Bolt because they had just watched the movie on their last day before Easter break and loved it!!! So walking inside the first place we wandered over to was where the Incredibles were supposed to be--but...no Incredibles yet. I thought I checked the time?:confused3 DS was disappointed but once he saw Bolt, it was fine at least for the moment. We made our way over to the line to meet the Bolt characters, it was actually quite long and for one second looking over at Sorcerer Mickey who didn't seem to have a big line I thought maybe we should get out of line and see Mickey first and come back. But the line continued to grow behind us and we decided to stay put and hope for the best. We finally made it to the front of the line and here are a couple of pictures I took--
100_1002.jpg

100_1001.jpg

After waving good-bye to Bolt and Rhino, we made our way over to Sorcerer Mickey for some pics but of course now the line was much, much longer--So we decided to skip it for now, with the hopes of coming back later. But we did stop and let the boys play in the interactive area. We even joined in on the fun stopping to answer a few questions to find out what Disney character we were most like. DS6 was most like Buzz Lightyear, DS9 was most like Aladdin, DH was most like Goofy and for some reason I cannot remember who I was most like.....hmmm.... I'll have to ask the boys, they will remember.........Anyways here is some pictures that I took while they were playing....

100_1004.jpg

On the way out, we stopped to see if The Incredibles were there yet--but no luck so we headed out. It was around 11:30 and we still had about 10 minutes before we could use our fastpasses for Toy Story Mania, so we stopped at a gift shop and looked for a sovenier for my friend's son who just loves Handy Manny. Unfortunately, I couldn't find what I was looking for, but it didn't matter because it was finally time to ride Toy Story Mania!!! We were very excited and wondering if it was going to live up to all the hype....hmmm.... Here's a few pics as we were heading inside--

100_1009.jpg

It was so cool when we walked in, there was so much to see--
100_1010.jpg

But unfortunately as quickly as we saw the sights--they were quickly gone as we turned to walk up the stairs. Don't get me wrong--I love fastpass, it's so awesome not to have to wait in line. But this was one time where I wish we would have rode first thing in the stand-by line to see all of the cool sights. We even missed talking Mr. Potato Head.:sad2: So my new strategy for riding this ride next time would be ride first thing--then grab fastpasses on the way out to ride again later....... Anyways on to the ride--here are the boys just before we got on the ride--
100_1011.jpg

100_1012.jpg

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the actual ride or even our scores.... not that I would want to show mine anyway, since I never do well on these rides. But I have to say how much we LOVED:love: this ride!! It was so much fun!! The boys couldn't stop talking about it!! They love Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin but after riding TSM--I think they both have a new favorite..;)
Next up--Lights, Motor, Action!!!!

Angie, don't feel bad about not scoring well on Toy Story Mania. I don't do very good on Buzz Lightyear or Toy Story Mania. I'm too busy watching everybody else having a good time. At least that's the excuse I use for my measly score.:thumbsup2

We SO need to go to Chef Mickey's. We opted for the 'Ohana character breakfast this past trip, but Chef Mickey's is a must do for next time!

That video got me all emotional..the music, the smiles on all the faces, your DS's excitement...LOVE it! :lovestruc

We feel the same way about DHS. I think it's the hardest park to navigate, for sure.

TSM is so fun...Glad you got to ride it. We did the "ride standby first, FP second" deal and it worked out perfectly. We were there right at 9:02 though...not sure if that makes a big difference.

OH...almost forgot.....You need a PAID IN FULL dance!

:banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::banana::banana:

I absolutely love the Life is Good t-shirt...way cute!

The last time we saw Playhouse Disney it was still Bear in the Big Blue House. I'd like to see the new show. It looks cute. TSM is a super fun ride. It seems so much easier to figure out than Buzz. Great pictures. Makes me want to go back:goodvibes

Me too! I'm glad you enjoyed TSM. We did too.:goodvibes I think it would translate very well into a video game, which I think Disney is planning. Maybe a good Christmas gift.

Ok, the pictures of your boys with the Bolt characters are darling, but I have to admit, the giant hamster is freaky!

I know...I was just too busy watching DS6 have a great time. (I think I'll use that excuse from now on...;)) Actually, I didn't think I did too bad until I looked over at the girls scores beside us and they were more than double mine.:sad2:

You should definitely try Chef Mickey's!! Your boys would love it!!:goodvibes

The video gets to me, every time I watch it. First I'm laughing, then crying because it's just so wonderful to see my boys having such a great time. It makes everything worth it.:lovestruc

Thanks for the paid in full dance.:goodvibes I'm so happy that it's finally paid. It feels soooo close now!! Can't wait!!:woohoo:

Thanks.:goodvibes DS6 loved the show, especially the bubbles everywhere!! It's so funny because when we went last year, we were so disappointed that they stopped showing Bear in the Big Blue House because it used to be my oldest son's very favorite show.:)
Now that we've rode TSM, I prefer it to Buzz. I think you're right it is much easier to figure out.:thumbsup2

I think I've read somewhere that they are making it into a video game. That would be so much fun--I know the boys would love it!! Hopefully it comes out in time for Christmas.;)

Too funny about the giant hamster:rotfl: But I totally agree with you. I asked the boys after, if that's how he really looked in the movie and they said " Yeah, Mom isn't he cool?" Umm.....okay...whatever you say.:lmao:

Two years ago we saw Playhouse Disney with Bear in the Big Blue House and Stanley. (It's...... the....... great big book of everything, and everything inside!) Last year we were sooo excited to see Little Einsteins, etc.... it was a hoot but it was pouring rain right before the show and everyone and their brother was seeking shelter. We too got the "move up please" mantra but we still had a blast.

Bolt and the creepy hamster!! Cannot wait to meet them, we love that movie! The hamster needs his bubble :rotfl:

We absolutely love TSM its a blast isn't it? We've also always bypassed the lines. I didn't even know Mr Potato Head was there until I saw a pic of it! :rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed Disney Playhouse. I am with your DH. I did not like sitting on the floor either and was disappointed myself with it. We were up front to the right of the stage and could barely see anything unless they came to our side. But my kids loved it so I guess that is all the mattered right??:lmao:

But I was sad too that they do not do the Hot Dog dance at the end. My kids just love that song!!!

Ahh.... I remember Stanley!! We loved Stanley!! My oldest watched all those shows when he was younger and now my youngest loves all the new shows, especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!! It was a fun show!! But I think we should have stuck to our original plans and separated since DH and DS9 just thought it was okay. Oh well....
I know...a very creepy hamster!!! :rotfl: I still haven't watched that movie yet--I must do that before we go back!!!
We were looking forward to seeing Mr. Potato Head when we were there--and was sad when we missed him.:sad2: But happy that we zoomed to the front of the line!! You just gotta love fastpass!!!!:thumbsup2

I liked the show, but mostly because I was watching DS and he was enjoying it so much.:goodvibes We didn't really have the best spot either.:sad2: At one point I had DS sit on my lap so he could see better. But he loved it, especially when he saw all the bubbles.:)

DS loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and loves:lovestruc the Hot Dog song!! We were disappointed that they didn't do the song either.
