June 28, 2009 ~ 4 night on the Wonder!

Choose a place for the meet & greet

  • Goofy Pool 3pm first day.

  • Promenade Lounge 3pm first day.

  • I like one of these locations but prefer to discuss a different time.

  • I can't make any meet & greets.

Most of this is THANKS to the info I gathered on the boards and did not think of on my own:

Advil
Sunscreen: adults, children, face
charged batteries
DVD's (video camera)
Memory cards (camera's)
Passports and Id's
Photocopies of passports and id's
$1 bills
air freshener
Blank CD's
Small fan or noise maker
Zip ties
Zip lock bags
A & D ointment (for chaffing)
snorkel mask
night light
trash bags (dirty clothes)
dry erase board (i.e. "Baby Sleeping!!!" or note to hubby)
Completed embarkation forms (ESPECIALLY the signed page)
Business cards
white t-shirt and sharpies
Daughters gift bag
Daughters princess dress
FE Gifts
WINE BOTTLE OPENER
WINE
shout packets
Nalgene water bottle

I also keep a small notebook for notes (from which I'm writing this list) and holding my other papers.

Am I missing anything???

Wow, you are very thorough!! I will definitely borrow some of your ideas for my packing! I finished my pirate costume last night, it is cute for a "home made" outfit. I am almost finished with all my FE gifts, our passports are in transit, we should recieve them next week, and I want to start packing, but don't really have the space to do it!! I can't believe it is so close. There is a dance recital tomorrow night (dress rehearsal tonight) for DD and myself, and then I can breath and get down to business. Have a great weekend everyone!

9 more days!!!! :cool1:

So, who's going to watch the Wonder leave port this Sunday? I watched it online last Sunday. It was really neat to see it pulling out and knowing we will be on there soon. I was even able to spot our stateroom. :) DS was waving at everyone. :rotfl:

I've got one suitcase already started, and we're going to start working on a second. I think we'll be eating dinner around the luggage for the next week.

I've just spent most of the night researching the Oceaneer's Club and potty problems. My DD3 is newly potty trained, so I'm worried about a backslide on board. Though I'm more worried about her not liking putting her pants back on by herself. I just keep picturing her walking out of the bathroom with her panties off like she does at home. I think I'll try to take frequent visits to help her in the restroom. The public does not need to be subjected to her doing her nekkid booty shake.

My 3 YO is doing great on the potty training.... when she's awake.

I occasionially (and I use that word loosely) let her sleep with us, and I know she'll want to crawl in with us since we're right beside her. I know they have plastic sheets for the little bed, but I've got my fingers crossed that they have them for the big bed. AND what happens if she does have an accident in the middle of the night? I guess I could ask to have an extra set of sheets to keep in the room.....

At home I can cut off her liquids at a reasonable hour, but I think it'll be impossible to do that on the cruise.

........which BTW is ONLY 8 days away.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can watch the ships online? Fill me in! My girls would love to see that (I would kinda like it too!:rolleyes1). They have no idea how big the ship is in person, we keep trying to tell them, but I can't wait to see their faces when we get into port! They will be blown away!
I was feeling warm in the house this afternoon and mentioned it to hubby, he went and checked, and it looks like our A/C isn't working :sad2:. It is soooo hot outside, the heat index is over 100 degrees, and it is the weekend. DH is not happy!!!

I used to go to Walmart and buy a 3.00 shower liner and put it under the sheets whenever we traveled and the kids slept on beds. Even at home! Cleans easy with Lysol and a new sheet, ready to go! I'd request an extra sheet set. See you all in 1wk 1day!!!!!:yay:

Hey guys, I was going to try to put stickers on each FE gift stating who it was from but I have way too many of them! So, here is my idea.... after our cruise is over i will post a pic of all the gifts that I handed out so you know who they were from. It's so much easier than having to tag each gift. You guys might want to think about that too if it starts becoming over whelming. :thumbsup2

the shower curtain idea is the best one I've heard in a while! Thanks!

I'm voting for the picture later rather than label now! Just starting to feel the crunch of getting everything in order....

We used to camp at Jetty Park, so I've seen the Wonder sail quite a few times! I truly never thought I'd ever get to actually be on the ship.... It's an awesome sight.

Yeah, I had just started to notice how many stickers it was going to take!! :scared1: I spread all the gifts out and took a picture of everything I'm giving. When we get back I'll post it. :thumbsup2

How fun about your camping trips!! I bet it is a sight going by. And how exciting that you will be on it this time. I think I'm going to be one of the people waving like mad by the railing rather than in the middle of the crowd by the stage.

A pic of the Wonder setting sail today!

I just wish I would have figured out how to take a pic with that web cam when I had a good closeup shot of it.

Here's something that brings home how close it is. The Wonder only has two more sailings before it picks us up for our trip.

We are getting a Fish Extender for DD10. We were too late to get into the groups Fish Extender, but if anyone else just got on board and would like to do one with us, I'd be happy to do it. Just PM me.

If not, I picked up some stuff that I will give to DD10 anyways. Just thought I would throw it out there.

We are also getting a pillowcase with her name on it and going to give it to guest services to have all the characters sign it.

Can't wait. It's getting closer.

Does your family enjoy talking about it as much as we do? It's not much fun planning when DH and DD10 don't like to go into details. I'm really glad that I have you guys to share the planning time with and come up with some magical ideas for our cruise.

Hi everyone! Looks like everyone has been getting ready for this one for a while! I'm late getting started. Just found this site today surfing around for info on this cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise. Does anyone have any tips on the "don't forget to bring list" or tips on planning our days. Our kids will both be 5 the day we set sail & our son will be 6 during the cruise. Any birthday celebration extras we should plan ahead? Thanks!!

I still have a few items left over for our exchange. I may have just enough to add you guys to MY list. If anyone else has extra gifts and would like to exchange with you guys they may contact you directly since the "official" list is closed. If you guys would like to exchange with me & my family, send me an email at ctx306 at aol dot com. :)
