How patient should I be?

So, I went on a tour in March when we were on vacation, and told my guide I'd be ready to buy in when we closed on our house and moved.

I've been leaving messages for him for over two weeks. Yesterday morning I finally got him when I called and he was heading out to a tour and he'd call me that afternoon.
I still haven't heard from him.

In my messages I have stated exactly what I where I want to buy in and how many points I need. He should know I'm serious and not just wasting his time. :confused3

I just left him a message stating that if he was too busy to call me back, I'd be fine with calling another guide and that I was hoping to have all of this figured out this weekend. Since he only works Thursday-Sunday, I would think that's reasonable.

It's so frustrating after waiting for so long to finally be able to do something so special to have someone else hold up the process, YKWIM? :sad2:

I'd get a new guide! That's ridiculous, I think and I usually never say that. 2 weeks and in the end, it sounds like you still caught him vs. him calling you back?

Definitely speak to someone else. I can't imagine being too busy to make a sale!!

I just had the same problem with my guide, Brandon Duke. I called to do an add-on and he never called back. Finally about 2 weeks later I got a call from Cathy Leahy, apparently I was assigned a new guide.

I didn't call Brandon back during my 2 weeks waiting because we were so busy, but you would think since I wanted to make a purchase, he would have called.

Good luck to you!

Get a new guide. If you can't even get a call when you're in the fresh meat buying part of your process, what type of service can you expect in the future?

Good point. This isn't very magical of him, is it? I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's rude and bad customer service.

So, who do I call to get info about a new guide? Also, what happens to my refferral from my friend? Do you think it transfers? :confused3

I would definitely call and get a new guide. I sent mine an email on Wednesday (I know he is off Thursday/Friday), just to say call me when you get to work Saturday, since I had questions, and I heard from him already.

I don't think the guide you use will have any bearing on the referral. Your friend should still get the incentive since she is still referring you!!!

Good luck!!!

I went ahead and called DVC customer service and got a new guide. He was very helpful and I'm glad I did. Now I am excited again about the whole thing. :yay:

I'm supposed to call him back Tuesday with my deposit and to make my new ressies. :woohoo:

Congratulations! I am glad that you got a better guide. It does make the process so much more exciting!!

Glad you got a new guide who is accommodating you!:thumbsup2 Might I make a little constructive observation? Curious, who was the guide? Ours is Brad Smith very helpfull.
I'd rather not say. ;) But I will say that I my new guide is Nick Tambberino. He was very helpful. :thumbsup2

Sorry. It's a habit from my favorite thread where we all picked a color so we can follow our posts. :surfweb:
