Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

OOooooOOOhh DebbieLouWho it would be great if You and Your sister WendyLouWho could go when i go!

I'm really going to have to save save save too.. i'm so glad i've taken advantage of the Disney Outlet Store online's clearance sales and bought the kids great christmas presents. The girls got all the princess babydolls..they will love them!

If we support each other in this thread to save or cook a smart meal instead of ordering pizza {mmmmmmm pizza why don't we have pizzzzzz!!} .. then maybe we can all swing it.

Well.. we want to go the 11th thru 16th.. that's a friday afternoon thru wed morning.. but our annual passes expire on the 11th.

so now the debate on whether to renew them or to move the trip up a weekend?

It would probably be better to go the week before as my husband will have payroll to do on the 15th.

So, 4th thru 8th it is.:goodvibes

Maybe:rotfl:

We will be there in Dec. Dates aren't firm yet but we will be there around the 15th, most likely the weekend before and we will leave either the 15th or 16th. DD9s 10th bday celebration!! :) We are looking to stay at the HoJo and we will firm our dates this weekend and make our ressies soon after. :) I want to do the holiday tour, I think it would be so fun but with 4 people it's kinda $$$.

Well...
We are sort of planning a trip Dec 17 to Dec 23. We will drive unless we determine that weather is too bad, but hubby is from Minnesota, so I don't know how bad it would have to be! But figure $300 in gas compared to a bare minimum of $600-$800 in airfare, and then the rental car and the parking fee at the airport etc.

Yeahhhhhhh Kerri and Tracey!!:grouphug:

Tracey... I hear You on the prices. We are going to use out southwest card at the grocery store then pay it off right away and the rewards add up super fast.. so we should have alot of of trip paid for that way.

Also we are having to work around going when 3 grandchildren are in school and can only take them out 2 days. That darn school..who needs ed U ma Ca Tion anyways?:rotfl:

List Updated!:goodvibes

I must say i'm so grateful to see that i'm not the only one who plans months and months ahead. Thank you all for the responses.

I've already been working on my christmas gift list. I try to have it done by october so that I can do some holiday baking and enjoy the season.

Plus with this economy it never hurts to plan ahead.:thumbsup2

We drove 2 years ago. The only place it was bad, was I think it Grants Pass in Oregon. But the drive was very nice. I split the cost of gas with a friend. So it ended up only costing me around $120 in gas. Much better than $750 for 3 rnd trip tickets.

When I took the kids for Christmas 2007, I had been planning since Christmas 2006. Over a year before we actually left. I wanted to make sure it was super special & a great Christmas.

Haven't booked anything yet but also plan on going the 17th-23rd. I'm worried it will be crazy busy, but we'll have already been a few times this year with our AP's, so the trip would be a bit more relaxed enjoying Santa/Reindeer, decorations, etc. We plan on staying at a Sheraton and the new Villas at Grand California if we can book these dates. Wish me luck on June 7 (the first day to book this new resort)!

Well I wasn't "part of the Diva's group. I was there with DBF and my DS at the same time. I called myself a Diva in training. :) I'm on board though for next years trip!!! :)

Well, when we got our APs this year our goal was to do everyone's bday at the Land, so I knew about 4 trips before Christmas last year! lol :) So ya, I've known for a while now. :)

Kerri..it was our first year for annual passes.. we have really used them alot.

kerikson...congrats on the grand californian ownership! i just booked there for our trip, but ours is just a hotel stay... i'm so excitted..it will be our first stay there. i booked 2 standard rooms.

Mommy with Dreams.. aaahhh... well we will meet next year then.. WendyLouWho, CheryL and I host the scavenger hunt and it's alot of fun. I'm already working on the prizes!

Add me to the "eat out less" list. Not only will it help save money for the trip but it will help my waistline too. :goodvibes

It's our second year, our first year (July 07-08) we went 14 times......:rotfl:
This year we are trying to go less.....:confused3

We went ahead and made hotel ressies at the HOJO's for Dec 5-9, continuing on to stay in Joshua Tree with the in-laws. I didn't realize that it might be crowded due to Candelight Processional, but that might be cool to see. We are going to get our first APs in June and are very excited! My in-laws announced that they would like to come with us for part of the time, so once that's firmed up I'll need to get another room. Anyway, they are in their mid 70s and will be going at a much slower pace. I know my mother in law really enjoys looking at holiday decorations. If anyone has any other suggestions for holiday activities that they would enjoy, I would appreciate the advice. We are saving too and are looking forward to our two vacations this year! :goodvibes

Yes, Yes, Yes! DF and I went last year and now could not imagine out Holiday season without it. We loved it so much. Just makes everything feel Extra magical. :wizard:

It is soooo beautiful during the Christmas holidays. We went in December 2006 and had the most incredible time. We stayed at the GC so grandkids loved the storytime with Santa, watching the fireworks from the balcony and all the really great decorations they put up, plus the easy entry into DC. Now, with DH's "semi" approval, I've just made ressies for Dec. 14th-18th at the GC again. After seeing how beautiful this hotel is during the holidays we decided we couldn't stay anywhere else. With the cost being as it is, at least we're putting back into the economy, even if it puts us in the poorhouse! :goodvibes We can't wait to get back and see all the new sights. :woohoo:

Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any kind of special happenings on New Year's Eve. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes
