What's the difference between quick service and DDP?

Quick service is two counter service meals a day and one snack, no sit down. The quick service is what I was thinking about trying next trip but i think I can spend less on my own!

That my be something to look into, especially for CSR.

Quick service is 2 meals, dessert and drink per person a day plus you get 2 snacks per person a day. It was alot of food and with a family of 4 if we did not have that plan it would have cost us tons for food. We had meal credits left when we left but we stocked up on snacks at the hotel before leaving for our flight.

It also includes the refillable mug. We have never gone with the meal plan before, but staying at CSR (1st time there) I think that the QS plan might work well because of the PM prices being higher.

Hi Buzz,

Thanks for this great report as well as your major contributions to this board. I am new to the site, but not to Disney.

Just booked a last-minute trip with DS2 (15) for March 5-9. :cool1: Will be first time at CSR and obviously I am a bit pressed for research and organization time with less than 2 weeks to go (usually I spend months planning ADR's, itinerary, etc...).

A few questions:

1. It seems that we should request a Cabana? 9A, 9B, and 8B?

2. We will be arriving fairly late on Thursday evening (about 10:00 pm?). Is Pepper Market still open if we want/need to get a bite to eat? Do you know the operating hours?

3. Not specific to CSR, but you mentioned in your report that lines for Toy Story Mania huge (to be expected). Usually we go to RnR first, but maybe we should consider riding TSM first (it is an early magic hour morning), then head over to RnR? What do you think?

1. It seems that we should request a Cabana? 9A, 9B, and 8B? all the cabana buildings are renovated so any of them will work.

We did our normal head to RnR first and even the line headed to ToT was less. When we got out of RnR, the wait for ToT was only 20 mins. The wait for TS was already 60 mins. The queue is very cool once you get inside the building and Mr Potato head is the carnival barker. I don't wait to give away to many spoilers.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't remember reading it. Is there a hair wrap station by the pool, or any area of the resort? Thanks!!

I don't recall seeing one the last couple of trips we've been there.

No, they got rid of it a few years back because it has to be done with dry hair and it didn't make sense for it to be by the pool.

Thanks for the info. Wierd, because even though the hair needs to be dry, other resorts have them by the pool. We will just have to get DD's done somewhere else.

I don't get it either. I guess given the choice, most kids would rather ride the slide versus sitting to get their hair done. My DD always wanted to do it but never would stay out of the water long enough to get it done. She did get it done at AK though. I'll never forget because my DW about passed out when a little lizard ran up her foot while we watched my DD getting her hair done. Now that was a AFV moment.

This is what the bottom of the menu states...

My mother has a Gluten, soy and onion allergy, my niece is a vegetarian and my son has an allergy to food dyes! PM cooked foods to accomodate all of my families needs the last trips. It was funny they looked at me like ....and what is wrong with you.... waiting for me to say i was diabetic or something. They looked so relieved when I said I have no allergies! I can not for the life of me remember what my mother ate though. I know they made her rice, chicken stir fry type of dishes. They made my niece gorgeous salads, pastas, cheese pizza with veggies. She does eat dairy she is not vegan. My son I only restricted him from colored ices, candies, beverages so he was easier to feed.

Cabana 9a, 9b and 8b is popular with the parents with young children group. We always do this area because I have a 6 yr old and he does not like to walk very far. They are closest to the main pool. I have been tempted to do other areas because to be honest the Cabana's also have the least amount of character and charm. The other buildings are so pretty, with beautiful fountains and the landscaping is so pretty. I can not wait until my son is older so I can try the other buildings. I am really tempted this trip to try a location closer to the health club and the spa!:confused3 Not sure what to do because I see the other areas and drool because they look so much more luxurious than the cabanas.
