A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

I clearly can't chat and respond to comments at the same time.......What's up with the dis toinght?:confused3

Hi Wig and Shocker!

Loving the report so far. Looking forward to reading some more. I am trying 3 of the same restaurants (WCC, CP, & Biergarten) on our June trip as you are on this trip. Please make sure to give a report. Would appreciate to hear your thoughts on them.

Baylor's valentine box turned out terrific! Tell him he won first prize in my book and won a dole whip float. Just have shocker pick up the tab! LOL

Enjoy your trip!

Tcr! You're here! Yippeeeee! I hope the weather is nice enough for that dole whip float in March, it was too chilly in Oct.....

OK, Wigd....I am hoping that our hopping won't be as hectic as yours sounds!! LOL I did buy the hopper on the advice of all the great disers, but we are just planning on leaving one park, taking a mid-day break and going to a different park on certain days! I'll also admit, being not only a newbie on DIS, but being a first timer to WDW itself....your pretrip report confirms the reason I have no ressies...and you know, I'm really OK with that!! LOL I know we will be giving up some of the luxury of GREAT meals, but I'm not sure I would be able to get from point A in Park B to point C in Park D by catching the monorail to the TTC and then boarding a boat and then walking across Park D to get to a TS in time!! I look forward to a more "relaxed" pace with "junk" food on our first trip down!! Who knows we may even luck out and get a good TS meal here and there....if not, you can think about us when you are enjoying yours!! You guys are GREAT and have taught me so much. Look forward to your next post. Heck, I am even learning what some the jargon y'all use means!!! LOL

I can remember our first trip walking by some of the TS, looking in the windows wishing we could get in.....and we had adrs for each day! If you decide you want a really good meal, try calling the morning you want to go, it can't hurt to try and someone might have cancelled:goodvibes

Thursday:
AK for rope drop and ride EE, see The Lion King, Baylor will want to do the Safari and Dinosaur, then "boing" to EPCOT for Le Cellier at 5:00 then "boing" to DHS for fantasmic. AK to AKL bus then an Epcot bus is probably the quickest.[/B]

Still need to figure out a time to get over to DTD and see if they still have the necklace that I've been wanting at WOD:cutie:

Before HDDR or on your final day seem to work for this.[/B]

If anyone has any suggestions on how to make these days go smoother please oh please share your ideas:goodvibes

OK wigd...here goes some of my ideas to make this all go a bit smoother for you. First off let it go, you are not getting a rental car....Disney Trans will have to do, breathe in breathe out. :rotfl:

So now that you've embraced your "freedom" from a rental car try this: take the bus to MK for your WCC dinner, then take the boat over to WL. It will be more fun, relaxing and pretty effiecient. Getting to your resort bus by 4 should be plenty of time, even if you just miss a boat.

Bonus tip for Baylor and Disney freebie for shocker: Drivers on every mode of Disney Transporation have cards, kind of like baseball cards for their vessel type. Baylor can collect these from every boat, bus and monorail driver. I think a driver told me there are 8 different types of buses in the fleet, so even the bus cards can be different. A nice FREE fun collection. See what happens w/o a rental car?

By the way yes I'm still up and I hear the snow plows outside. Is it Friday yet?

Keep it coming girlfriend. :thumbsup2

bd I can't recall if you are on the DP. If you are make ADRs and do so now, please. You can cancel them if you decide not to use them, but the reverse is much harder to do. If you are on the dp you chance wasting money and having a sad family, don't be "that guy". I'll help you plan some ADRs that are at resorts so it won't matter what park you are in you can catch a bus right to the resort.

Wigd, Paco is so cute, and how to you have green and pink computers that is so cool. Have fun hopping from one park to the nexts can't wait to hear about 1900 park fare. when you come back. And where do you share photopass?

What?!? Why did you not go to bed? I knew that I could count on you for level headed advise:goodvibes Baylor has a card from one of the boats but the driver came up and gave it to him. On the bus, does he need to ask? We have never been able to get up front on the monorail but there is always next time.
As for the rental car.......:scratchin you are right, it probably won't happen but you can't blame a girl for trying.

I'm in agreement with Sept on this one:goodvibes

Paco is a cutie, but as they say, cute is as cute does and he doesn't do very cute:rolleyes1
We have covers for our macs so they really are silver on the inside, shhhhh don't tell anyone:rotfl2:
Look for the photo pass share on the budget boards. I hope you find one:thumbsup2
I am sooo excited for 1900 Park Fare, we are planning a special surprise there:flower3:

Yes, you'll need to ask the drivers. It was our boat captain who gave Zeke his first one. We did get to ride up front in the monorail and that driver gave us cards w/o asking.

Hi! :yay: I followed your thread here from CP and LL! Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes
Welcome! I'm happy you are here:goodvibes

So did Zeke get the bus cards too? Did he have to ask? We will try for up front in the monorail, I'm thinking that before much longer Baylor will think he is too old for all that stuff, so we need to make the most of his youth!:rotfl2:

Thanks for the Teva advice!!! I can't wait until they come. I got Jenny and I both a pair...

I took my Teva mush flipflops to Phoenix a few weeks ago (teaching conference) and they felt like heaven:cloud9: I can't wait to hear what you think:goodvibes

Really? I need a new pair of flipflops for this summer -- I may have to go investigate those! :thumbsup2

I'll bet you love the Teva Mush flipflops, when we were in Arizona the group decided to take the 2 mile walk to town one afternoon. Mind you there was no path, we were just walking down the highway in the desert. They all had on athletic shoes and me in my Tevas. No problem I kept up just fine.
