Just in time for the decorations!!You guys are making me want to take a trip to CSR!!! My daughter wants a beach vacation, so this is the 1st year in 6 years that we're not going. Maybe I can talk her into a Thanksgiving trip!

Waterview at any WDW resort can be a pool, lake, river, fountain or any body of water.Hi Guys,
We will be leaving for disney in six days. It's our first trip with the kids and we are staying at CSR. It was a last minute trip and we took whatever was available, but it turned out to be a "waterview" room. I'm pretty sure that's a good thing, but what does that mean? I have a six year old and a two year old. I hope I'm not going to be walking all over the place. What would be the best area for them, If I am able to make a room suggestion at check in? I've never been there so the room area's are confusing.
Also everyone keeps telling us we will need to come back and rest, during the day. But everyone also keeps talking about how long the bus rides are. How much time will it take me to get back to the resort from MK? Sorry to ask so many ?

CSR is only 10 mins from MK, and 5 mins from the other 3 parks.
Check out my CSR wesbite below!!

Oh ya, that's true. But since I usually go to AK for the opening, it does not stop at BB so I always forget about that. It only stops at BB about an hour before it opens. We were there the first week in January. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus, and the bus stops to CSR at the parks are right up front! Given the short drive time (although, forgive me, Buzz, but since the AK bus stops at Blizzard Beach, I found the ride to AK a tad longer), you should be fine.
Oh, and don't let "everybody" tell you what you will "need" to do - do what works for you!
Works very well!!I am so glad to hear that the bus stops for CSR are close at the parks. We usually stay in the parks all day and are exhausted by the end of the day and I always hate that long walk to the bus stop. Not to mention I'm glad the parks are close to the resort. I am so happy that we changed our ressie and was able to get into here. Can't wait.

Thanks for sharing you experience at CSR! I'll be staying there soon for the first time.We were there 1/25- 1/30. We had a great stay, it was exactly what I expected after all my research. The food options were great, check in went smoothly. We got our connecting rooms. I loved the Cabanas but got 9A. I wanted 9B or 8A to be near a bus stop but the CM said 9B was closed for the week. We had spotless rooms and great mousekeeping but our view of the parking lot was uninspiring. The extra walking wasn't much but can be tiring if you are a commando like me. I thought I would use the fitness center but was way too tired.
I highly recommend the resort. It was quiet, relaxing and low energy- exactly what we needed after our fast paced touring of the parks. It was our first time that we didn't hear people when we were trying to sleep. We only saw people at the food court or waiting for the busses. We always waited about 20 minutes for the bus but figure we just missed one. We only stood once, and the stops were so close to the entrance of each park.
Have a great trip! Thanks for sharing you experience at CSR! I'll be staying there soon for the first time.
Did you by chance post a trip report(with pictures)? We are staying at CSR for the first time in April and would love to see some pictures of the resort.
