Believe it was just after 3:30. They still had a few crew to get on and we had about 10 of our guys still on. With all the stuff that had collapsed there was no way they could get close enough to the dock
That's what they said on the news report on the time. Thank goodness it happened then. Even an hour earlier would have been a disaster.
Here is what we have been told:
- If you dine at Tritons your last night, debark via Deck 1 forward
- If you dine at Parrot Cay/Animators, debark via Deck 1 aft
Not sure how embark will work, but will be via Deck 1 from the pier.
Also heard the main gangway may be out of commission for up to 8-weeks.

It would effect both ships as they use the same facility. So, let me get this straight...
Everyone will have to board EITHER ship from deck 1 because it was the gangway from the terminal that was damaged?
I just wanted to clarify that it will affect both Wonder and Magic cruisers
We sail Dec. 13th on the Magic... guess we'll see how we board then.
Heck, they could drop me from a zip line, whatever, just as long as I am on the DISNEY MAGIC!!
Disney boarded all guest on Deck 1 for the Barcelona sailings. It was quite organized and did not affect the time it took to get on the ship. For those sailings you boarded the elevator that took you straight to Deck 9 then you were announced at the adult pool as you exited. Not nearly as nice as the atrium but it works!
Hope that helps
Dan
It will be like boarding when you come back from a port.
I believe we boarded on Deck 1 from the 2005 Panama Canal cruise when we first boarded in LA. It was either that cruise or the cruise from Ft. Lauderdale when they had to change terminals due to Hurricane Jeanne....can't remember which cruise but I know on one of our DCL cruises we initially boarded on Deck 1.
