this was SO COOL! the person operating that thing saw erica with her camera and i swear he did that right AT her!

i'm sure i yelled at him but i don't remember. i always yell at them if they are looking at me!

we sat next to a very nice mother and daughter during spectro. they were from california and had never been to disney world before. they had read a guidebook that told them to watch wishes from frontierland. i told them that it's "meant" to be viewed from in front of the castle and that they should follow the herd that way. it would be crowded, but that they HAD to see wishes for the first time from in front of the castle! i hope they enjoyed it!

i call these the "big ones." so pretty!!!!!

okay.......two things i have to mention about wishes that night that i was peeved about (because, you know, i always have to mention what peeves me! ) first, when we found an open spot to watch the show from after spectro, it was right inside the little circle that constitutes the hub area and there were CMs there making sure we didn't step over a certain line in order to keep the traffic flowing. so we were all smooshed in like sardines. i look over next to us and there are 3 or 4 teenagers LAYING DOWN, taking up the space that about 6 or 7 people could've been standing in. i couldn't believe how rude they were being!!!! and they kept looking at everyone around them like we were the ones being rude. unbelievable! i kept giving them the evil eye and i think one girl noticed because she stood up. but the others never did until the show started.

the second thing....when the show started a couple ended up standing behind us and the girl was singing the words to wishes IN OUR EARS. it was REALLY annoying. i turned around and looked at her a few times and she'd shut up for a second, but then start singing again. I LOVE DISNEY, TOO. I KNOW THE WORDS, TOO. I GET IT. BUT SHUT UP!!!!!! that's just completely rude, too.

WHAT IS UP WITH RUDE PEOPLE?????? they should make a new guide to disney world: HOW TO ENJOY DISNEY WORLD WITHOUT BEING RUDE. it would sell millions.

Great pics! Spectro is our fav parade and it wasn't running in August.

you probably noticed this but erica and i watched it in almost exactly the same spot you, me and erin did last year! don't worry - you'll be seeing it NEXT MONTH!

Its so nice to come home from work tonight and see the Spectro pics and Wishes fireworks. I can almost imagine myself there. Then walking down Main Street and maybe doing a little window shopping.
I can't stand rude people either. We had a drunk man on the last trip right behind us making all sorts of rude comments during Spectro. I gave him dirty looks but he kept on. And then there was the lady who stepped infront of Lexi (DD) so she couldn't see during the earlier parade. Who would intentonally block the view of a child? Some people are totally clueless. I'm glad most people are kind, considerate and friendly. Those rude people couldn't possibly be Disers, we are far too sweet for that !!!

I think that would be a great book Dawn. I hope I haven't been one of those rude folks. When I hear a song, I immediately start singing it. I think it is because I was in the school chorus for 6 years, so it just comes naturally. Of course, if it is annoying, my kids are quick to point it out.

Oh, and but, it looks like tomorrow morning that our AL Crimson Tide will be #1!!!!! That post was approved by Allie's DS. I'm not an AL (or any other team for that matter) fan, but I am happy for them, and I knew you would share in our enthusiasm. They have had a rough couple of years and it is time that they finally get to shine!

erica said i could finish up the night if i wanted to and there's not much left, so i thought i would go ahead and get it done!

oh, and i wanted to mention one more thing about the wishes pictures. i thought it was so cool how erica got a pic of tinker bell before she lit up!

okay, so after wishes we decided to just kind of let the crowd leave and then kind of hang out in front of the castle for awhile, something neither of us had ever done. it was sooooooo nice and peaceful with hardly anyone around. there were only a handful of people passing by here and there and it was just a really cool feeling to be there enjoying the beautiful view of the castle at night without all the chaos that usually goes along with it!

all of these pics are erica's - for those of you who don't know, my computer crashed last weekend and i lost everything off my hard drive. luckily, my hubby was able to get everything on an external hard drive so mine are still around but i currently don't have that hard drive hooked up to my computer. we basically took the same pics though!

the halloween statues at the hub were so cute!

i think this is my favorite shot! i got the exact same one.

we saw the "kiss goodnight" - i wish i would've had my video camera but i hadn't taken it with me that night. it was really pretty though!

it was around 10:40, i think, when we decided to finally leave. the park had closed at 10:00 and we were some of the last stragglers walking out.

erica had been checking the vandy/south carolina football game score on her cell phone but we were hoping to watch the last quarter, so we headed out of the park to the poly to see if we could catch it at the tambu lounge there.

bye, magic kingdom....see you tomorrow night!

i believe we took a boat over to the poly that night. i remember it was pretty full and erica and i had to sit separately and we each gave some little kids our glow stuff.

when we got up to the tambu lounge we saw like 2 people up there and they weren't watching the TV, but talking to each other while sitting in front of it. and i'm pretty sure some talk show or something was on TV when we got there. erica asked the bartender if he could change it to the game and he said he was busy and would be with her in a minute. well, we waited a few minutes and then the 11:00 news came on, which they STILL weren't watching. so i walked back over to the bar and when he asked what he could get for me, i said, "well, we might have a drink if we can watch the vandy/south carolina game," and he said, "i think they're watching something over there." so he told erica and i two different stories, which totally ticked us off and we left. i mean, if he didn't want to turn the TV, that's fine....but just tell us first so we don't waste time there and can get back to the room to see the end of the game! duh.

luckily, though, we made it back to the room with 2 minutes left in the game. i don't remember much about the game other than we won 24-17 and basically what we saw was vandy just holding the score in the final 2 minutes. i think it's because we wore our vandy girls shirts that day, don't you????

and so ends day 2. all i remember about the remainder of that night is being VERY tired and looking forward to MNSSHP the next night!

up next - another day at epcot....but this time in world showcase! and will the rain ruin our plans for MNSSHP?????

It's going to be a challenge trying to find an angle of the castle or a spark of fireworks you haven't already captured in pictures.

I am happy to be able to see it with all of the icicle lights again. It is just breathtaking like that!

Sorry you girls got snubbed at the Poly and didn't get to see as much of the game as you wanted to.

I am a little sad I didn't take any pictures of spectromagic or wishes when I was there but I just wanted to immerse myself in the experience with my kids. DH took video of it. Does anyone know if it is possible to capture a still image off of video? It would be awesome if I could do that to have some pictures in my album.

Dawn, the only problem with a book on how to enjoy Disney without being rude is that the rude people wouldn't bother reading it!! A couple times during wishes, people walked right in front of us. The entire crowd was sitting down around the hub and people decided to walk right through DURING wishes About the 3rd time I saw someone doing this I got pissy and told them to not walk in front of DH's videocamera.

Awww thanks MeMom I wish I could crawl in your suitcase or car and go! I would give anything to see the castle lit up again. Jill DEFINITELY has to send me a picture mail . Then If I get one from Dawn I might feel like I've seen it for this year!

First let me say that I could not agree with Dawn more with the whole rude people thing. I work with the public everyday and some people are just so unbelievably rude that I don't know how they could actually make it through life like that. End of rant.
