I'm confused about V&A chef's table?

I've seen some conflicting information on the web and wanted to ask the experts here. :) Do they have seatings for V&A's chef table every night, or is it only available on select evenings?

Thanks! :flower3:

Last I checked it was not available on Wed. and Friday evenings.

Actually, the chefs table is available 7 nights out of the week, but this table is always booked out at least two months ahead.

I beleive somewhere I read that you could get the chef's table meal in the dining room. Obviously you're lacking the interaction with the chef but I like to do menu tastings at a new restaurant whenever possible.

Is this possible?

The chef's table can be booked 180 days out. It is a hard ressie to obtain, since there is only 1 seating per night. Call right at 7am when the reservation lines open 180 days out from the night you want the table. It took us 3 days to get the table for our honeymoon. If you are beyond that point simply call in every few days to see if there are any cancellations during your stay. It is possible that one may open up. Good luck, we hope you get it!!

Hi Hootch! Unfortunately, I have no idea, but that would be nice. I'd like to know the answer to that as well. :)

perhaps things have changed, but when we made our CT reservation we were told that it was not available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Definitely call 180 days from the date you want, and be sure to call as soon as the phone lines open up - that reservation is first come first serve and it goes fast.

Good luck!

Ok, so I just wanna make sure I'm clear on how to make my 180 day ADRs. Our trip is for April 26-May 3, 2008. So, at 6:55am (eastern time) on October 29, I need to be on the phone to reserve all of my dining for the entire week?

So, I can try to reserve the chef's table for April 28 or 29 on October 29??

I just wanted to make sure I'm clear, because I thought I had to wait until 180 days from the reservation date that I wanted. But on another thread, a nice Diser told me that I can reserve all of my dinners for the week on October 29.

The chef's table reservation is exactly 180 days from the date you want to reserve. If you call on October 29 to reserve for April 28 and it's not available you will have to call back on October 30 for April 29, and so on. there is no 180+10 for the Chef's table.

Ok, thank you for the clarification! :thumbsup2 I know this doesn't really go with the thread, but are all of the other restaurants 180+10? Is there a list of them somewhere that I can look at?

Thanks again!

Not sure about a list anywhere ... um, I know that almost all of the WDW restaurants (parks and hotels) are 180 + 10. Some restaurants at Downtown Disney / WestSide are only 180 days but I don't know which ones. And I do know for sure that if you want an ADR at Bistro Paris you have to call 30 days in advance of your requested dining date.

How's that for confusing? ;)

And... you must be staying on WDW property in order to take advantage of 180 + 10.

I think if you go to the Dining link here on the DIS - up near the top of the screen where it lists things like DIS home, theme parks, etc... - there is a dining calculator where you can enter your arrival date and it will calculate all kinds of dates for you ... 180, 90, 60, 30 ... I've used it before and it's a great help.

Yikes! Ok, I need to plan more. Thank you for the help. I'll go check out that calculator here. :flower3:
