Again - sorry to be so needy today! I am in panic mode trying to complete outfits, and my brain is a little fried. I just love this skirt - and don't want to mess it up by putting the wrong top with it. Maybe these pics will give you all a better idea of my plan, and what it will look like. Please send any comments or suggestions my way, I could use them!

I like the purple better. On my screen the colors look like they match perfectly.
That's going to be such a cute outfit!

Ok, seeing this, I vote for #2. It ties it all in together, I think.

I vote for the purple also.

Does anyone still have the link for the Joann's coupon? I don't want to have to look through all these pages, but I will if I have to. Thanks.

Purple!!! Love it!

If you have 2 dd's maybe add some green to the skirt of the green shirt outfit?

I don't think they would be very hard at all! I have this pair:

If you want me to take some close up pictures to get an idea of how they are made, let me know.
That would be great!!!! Thank you!

Teresajoy,
Just for YOU, I will make the sacrifice and go to WDW this weekend to see how much they are :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (I tried to say it with a straight face)

I think the last time I looked they were under 10.00 I am thinking $6 something. But I will check and let you know.

Cindee
 Aww, you are very self sacrificing for your fellow Disers!

I'd love close ups! I've had this on my To Do list since I first saw them. Of course, there's about 20 things on that list right now. :rotfl:

Yes, I AM knitting a blanket for him, and I DON'T want to talk about it!;)

Sorry couldn't resist:goodvibes

I have some pics to share! The first two outfits (Hannah Montana and Tinkerbell) I cannot take credit for since a friend made them for me.

Would love some closeups

jessica - I'll post the pattern number when I get home. If I remember. Will you send me a pm later to remind me? Today is our foster class, so I won't be home until late and I might forget.

lori - another vote for the purple! it looks great!

Ok, first of all, these pics aren't great, but I hope they will serve their purpose. I've finished skorts for Emma & Rylee to wear to MVMCP and now I need help deciding on their shirts. Two things to keep in mind: 1) I'm going to add a Santa hat to the ears 2) I plan to add the same ribbon around the waistband of the shirt.

Here are my choices thus far:

1: Red dot ribbon w/gold ricrac ~ my dd16 thinks this is too much red. I think it ties in well with the skirt and sheer red dot ribbon on the skirt. But, will it be too much red after the santa hat is added?

2: Christmas plaid (red/green/gold) w/gold ricrac

3: Christmas plaid w/sheer red dot ribbon ~ The same ribbon used on the skirt for the bow

4: Christmas plaid w/gold ricrac & sheer red dot ribbon

5: Any other ideas?

I would love to know what you guys think! I think you all are very talented and your opinions mean a lot to me. Even those of you that don't sew, you definitely have an eye for style!!

I vote for the red dot (choice #1)...I agree with you that it ties in well with the skirt. The Mickey head also seems to stand out better on the red dot. My second choice would be #4 (plaid, gold and sheer dot). They're going to look adorable no matter what you pick :)

Hey everyone!! I'm finally caught up again on this thread! Yowza, it moves SO fast!!! And, it doesn't help that I've been on the run for the past week. Anyway, I wanted to share a site for striped kids tights (since I know that some were looking for them). I haven't bought from them before, but they seemed to have quite a variety for halloween.

I finished up a few things and wanted to post pics. The first is a total CASE from several different sources here. I'm very, very proud of this! I APPLIQUED the letters AND the Mickey head. I need to add a real ribbon bow to the Mickey head to make it Minnie!

We are not going til December but my folk art shows are kicking into gear so my time is going to be very limited soon. Say hi to Mickey for us when you go. My DD asked if we could go to Mickey Mouse's house for Halloween. My DH looked at her and said NO! When I gave him the evil eye. He said, Maybe next year! :thumbsup2

Hey Aimee,
Where do you show your ornaments? I live in Maryland...think you do too...and I would love to scope out some of your work!
Thanks,
Kay

I really like it on the purple. To me I think the light purple is ok. And I like how you are going to layer the pics and fabric. But that is just my opnion. Good luck and have a great trip.

Those are darling!!!! I have yet to attempt applique. Some day, maybe. Or, maybe I'll just beg Heather to do it for me! ;) She's gone this week, so she'll probably NEVER even see this post anyway!

What are these type of skirts called? Are they the twirl skirt? I have seen them all over the boards and would love to make one, just don't know where to look for instructions :)

This one looks really familiar! :rotfl: Now if your DD wears her Minnie dress and my DD wears her Mickey dress, they'll coordinate! ;)

Great job on both of them. Adorable!
