The Decoy Trip that turned into a Dream - The End. 7/5, Page 22.

A week from right now, I'll be an hour away from Orlando!!!

I still have some stuff to do. The boys have their preschool "graduation" on Wednesday and I don't have any gifties for the teachers yet.

I used up all my LGMHs to make the calendar. I need to go grab some more and find some creative ways to attach them to various things. :)

I should go ahead and make up Mousekeeping tip envelopes, no?

My aunt is flying in tomorrow evening. I have not cleaned the guest room, made the bed, etc.

I am having friends over for dinner tonight; however, I have made dinner except for throwing it in the oven for a half hour, dishing out salad, etc. I have done my cleaning, I think, so today is covered.

I got my babysitter for late Friday evening, to take my aunt back to the airport and also hopefully see Pirates 3 before we go. pirate: I watched Dead Man's Chest last night just for kicks. I'm fond of Pirates. However, this may be an ambitious plan for us, because D. is getting back from a 6 day trip on Thursday night late, and, of course, we leave early Sunday morning. I don't know that we should take the time out of laundry/packing time, but hey. It's Pirates.

The weather here is still not supposed to top 72 or so all week long, so I can probably do more packing. It's rained for 4 days or so, but it's supposed to get sunny soon. I will likely use some of the shirts I was going to take, but the shorts are all packed up. I could probably pack up the boys' shorts, too.

Aside from the preschool thing Wednesday, I have to go watch the kids swim tomorrow (they get swim lessons every day within their preschool) and they have their 5 year old check ups (with shots, yikes!) on Tuesday morning. It's going to be a crazy week!

I'd better get hopping!

Whooohoooo a week to go :banana::banana: Sounds like a busy week though :faint:

Oh, I know. I did just take an hour to refresh my hair colour (just for you, I added the "u"!)

And, I realized that my mom's birthday is Friday and so I have to shop and send her a present, too! Yikes!

Thankyou :rotfl2: have you any ideas for your Mom's (I did the O for you :rotfl: ) pressie?

I don't have ideas for Mum :-))), actually. She's not at all hard to buy for, but I just don't know what to do. Last year was a big one for her, and I made a scrapbook using pictures from babyhood on. Can't really top that, don't know what to do.

That sounds really sweet, this is a bit boring but each year my DSis and I buy our Nanny a bouquet of flowers each month for 6 months she absolutely loves it and it's so easy to organise!

I was considering gardening things - she has a rather large herb bed and she makes flavored vinegars, sachets, etc. I almost never send her flowers, so that would at least be new!

My Nanny is 87 years old and got absolutely everything so flowers are the ideal pressie for her :thumbsup2

You may find something at Epcot - I think the Flower and Garden Festival runs through the 3rd of June.

Jay's dad is a huge gardener so we're hoping to find something unique for his birthday which is next month.

Good luck! :goodvibes

She did say it didn't have to get there on her birthday. Perhaps I will try to find something there. It worked a couple of years ago when I went to Hawaii right after her birthday!

Another pre-vacation bump for you...less than one week to go!

We'll try not to drink all of the beer at Raglan Road Friday night so that there is some left for you on Wednesday. ;) I really hope you and your hubby have a great "date" there.

If you like bread pudding save room for dessert - they have this thing called Ger's bread and butter pudding and they serve it with two different sauces...:hyper:

I don't even really care for bread pudding and I thought this was terrific.

Have a good day! :goodvibes

Thanks! We'll want some of that beer, I know!

I looked at the menus and saw that bread pudding. Sounds yummy!

We're all getting really excited. :cool1:

The lovely 10 day forecast that I checked last week assured me that I would not need shorts or tank tops before we left, so I packed them. Hooray!

Fie on the weather. Never trust the 10 day forecast! It is now supposed to be 90 today and 92 tomorrow. :scared:

I have to dig the shorts out of the suitcase. Wear them. Wash them again before we go.

I hadn't packed the kids' stuff yet, but it does mean that I will be doing laundry probably into the wee hours of Saturday night. :laundy:

I haven't yet hit the Depot again for more LGMHs. I haven't made my Mousekeeping tip envelopes. I did do two loads of my own laundry last night, but it doesn't help with the shorts situation.

My aunt has been having a great visit, but it means that I've not been on the DIS near as much! :)

I DID get the newspaper and mail held, the kennel reservation confirmed (and I had made it for drop off on Saturday and pick up on Saturday - pshew! because I made the kennel reservations before I had the flight times.)

The boys' little "graudation" yesterday was very cute. :) I feel that I am behind on the trip, though...

This is a fly-by posting... have a great weekend...enjoy the movie tomorrow night...don't stress too much...and have a fabulous visit to WDW. I'll be looking for ya!! :goodvibes

OK. About 12 hours until the alarm goes off. I have everything packed for myself and the boys except what needs to be washed as it comes off our bodies. I have mousekeeping envelopes made. I have some LGMH's. I have my papers gathered in the Passporter.

I have probably one more bag than I need, but where I used to pack the electronic chargers, a book, and my toiletries together (plus a swimsuit and first day stuff) now, since I can't check the makeup and shampoo, etc. it has to be separated. Oh well. The clothes are fitting nicely in the suitcases, so that part is good. :)

I bought some dry snacks and packed them in a checked bag, which will turn into the souveneir bag on the return trip.

DH has done his laundry but isn't yet packed. He's a pilot, though, so he is very quick and good with that part. He is meeting a friend post-boy bedtime for a drink - they used to work together, and it's actually good with me, as I can have some alone time to gather and prepare! And, the kids will be asleep, so it's not a hardship. :goodvibes

I think I'm going to take a page from Princess V's book and start a new trip report when I return. I'll post the link here, though, and will also stick it in my signature. That way, if I happen to get new readers, they could skip the power outages, the moose and such! ;) (Of course, I'll link back to the pre-TR in the new one.)

So, watch for updates on 6/1! Wish us luck!

C.E.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I remembered to print the boarding passes this morning at the correct time, and we did get the coveted A group on Southwest. Huzzah!

And, thanks everyone... I'm actually right now feeling so organized that I'm drinking wine and DISing, rather than panicking. :woohoo: The laundry is still drying, but everything else seems scarily ready! Who knew? I would never be here without the great folks on these boards. :goodvibes
