Zombies v. Vampires

Okay...so me and my sister have a huge debate about this and we ask everyone. I figured I have a wide audience here and we could get the definitive answer.

Who would win in a war - zombies or vampires ?

And no zompires... or any other zombie/vamp hybrid. HA ha, and no "Vampires because they are cute and sparkly"

At the risk of tainting the results (because I think you'll tell me what you think no matter what I think) I picked zombies and my sister picks vampires. I think the sheer number of zombies and the fact they can come out in the day would make them win. My sister thinks because vampires are smarter and craftier that they would win.

What do you think?

Because zombies are not very smart, I don't know that they would be able to figure out the holy water/wooden stake in the heart stuff necessary to kill the vampire.

But, given time, the vampires could figure out how to kill the zombies.

I go with vampires.

For the record, how do you kill zombies? Blow them to smitherines or what?

Zombies would win, hands down. Simply because Vampires couldn't feed on Zombies because they're already dead. And I can't believe I put that much thought into this subject

Ha ha. Very good points. I wonder if zombies could figure out how to kill vampires. I never thought of that or the fact that vampires would get hungry.

Well seeing it's my wife thats started this thread and we've discussed this many time's. I'd have to say Vampires cause they are smarter more mobile ans well in all more awsome than zombies.

For some reason I keep seeing scenes from "Sean of the Dead" as I'm reading this thread! I love that movie. And yes, Zombies are stupid but I'm standing by my assumption that Vampires need to feed to live so they'd eventually starve out of existance. Assuming of course that there are no live humans available. And I still can't believe that I'm sucked into this!!

I'm assuming that there would be people or maybe just animals around to feed the vampires so I gave it to vampires. Zombies would just be too dumb to figure out how to deal with the vampires IMO.

Well it seems in some zombie lore that animals can also be zombified. It seems to me that zombies are like a plague that would just devour everything on the earth and quickly over-run any vampires. hee hee.

Neither....they are both the undead and will be unconcerned about each other.

Also just because they cannot feed, it will not kill them. Sorry Cindylouwho. Vamps can feed off animals.

In addition Zombies will not be able to detect a Vamp because they are the undead as well. Zombies won't even go after a Vamp and vice versa.

Zombies are killed in the same way vamps are, cutting off the head.

No! Vamps do NOT ever die from starvation. They will hibernate but that does not kill them.

I suppose if a vampire had a good place to hide he'd have a chance but the world would still be over-run by the zombies and how on earth would he get them all.

A place I used to work at made fake job applications so that when people came in to look for work, we'd hand them those.

The first question on the job app was "What is the name of the little girl in How The Grinch Stole Christmas?"

The second question was "What is perdiddle?"

Well....... actually if you want to go further ala "Anne Rice", the longer a Vamp hibernates the stronger the vamp gets.
They will outlive Zombies.

The requirement for blood is lessened as well. The skin begins to turn into a super hard stony material.

Once the head is removed they are killed so I suppose you can say that they will kill each other eventually and disappear.

Yeah, but...zombies eat brains and vampires eat blood...so zombies might attack vampires because they do have brains...also...I'm not so sure the only way to kill a vampire is a stake through the heart. Surely a completely dismembered vampire eaten by 17 zombies would die.

Or would a vampire bitten by a zombie turn into a zombie, too. Hmmmm....

So if the zombies kill each other off, and the vampires are hibernating and getting stronger, than the vampires will out un-live the zombies, so the vampires win, right?

Who's to say the zombies won't find the vampires hiding spots though. There would be so many zombies they are bound to stumble across them. They always find the people in the malls

Actually I am enjoying the posts all have so much thought put into them.
