I am considering buying the ZIG BASIC WRITER 8 PIECE PEN SET, but I would like to hear how you all like these first? Is there really anything great about them to spend the extra money? (BTW I think I will be able to get them for around $14-15.)

Thanks!

i always use black when and if i hand write my journaling...it would depend if you really use all the other colors. if you will use all the rest of the colors, then it would be good for you...but if it was me, i'd stick to the black.

I LOVE my Zig pens! :goodvibes When I started scrapbooking, DH bought me an 8-pack, and my addiction to Zig pens began. I like using the different colors to brighten up my pages--I like to do the colorful lettering and doodles. A couple of weeks ago, I used the 50% off coupon at AC Moore to splurge on the 48-count pen set--with the 48 different colors. I love them all! :teeth:

I kept drooling over them every time there was a coupon, but had other needs first. (I just started in earnest this year.) Then back in the Spring, I came upon a clearance of Zip pens at ACM - they were "odd" colors as in not primary colors. One side was the brush marker, which I really wanted. I ended up with at least one of each color & for a lot less than the set cost!

I [B}love[/B] them!!! I'd seen someone using the brush markers on rubber stamps instead of just the ink pad. What a difference!!! You can actually make Mickey's pants red & his ears black! Works great! :teeth:

I went through a 'PHASE' where I bought every color I could find
I tend to use the BLACK the most - ocassionally using another color - but not to often -
BUT they always WORK - unlike some of the others I bought around the same time that have dried up despite never even being used!

I tend to use the ZIG in the primary colors mostly black, red and blue the most. I am now addicted to the GALAXY markers-- they are great at writing on plastic, velum and other materials.
