I'm hesitant to write this 'cause I know some people are having their specs stuck in customs.. but..

I ordered my DD (9) a pair of perscription sunglasses that she "NEEDED" for Disney in August for $17 shipped. She did wear them some.. but that is besides the point.

They arrived promptly and the quality didn't look much different than her very expensive, every day designer glasses. (Don't get me started on that one.. now she wants the new Vera Bradley ones.)

Anyway, we went to a visit today and they always check her glasses. I asked if they would check the sunglasses too. She said they were exactly the same. She asked me about them and I said they were $17 but I was a bit nervous about them. She said I got an amazing deal. (and we guessed the PD 'cause the office wouldn't give it to me. Today I asked them to measure it for us and just watched when she wrote it down!)

So, we were very happy, and I told her we could order a "fun" pair, if she keeps her every day pair more subdued than she would like.
 
I have bought my son, and husband glasses there, and really not had any problems. The last shipment took about 3 weeks to get. To get the PD or pupil distance you can just go to Wal-Mart optical and ask them to do it. I went there and they were just fine with giving me the measurement.
 
I posted last week about the horrid experience I am having with them...Long story short: Ordered glasses 10/23, still not here. Get lied to and given the run-around every time I call. Zenni refuses to refund my $, will only give me back $4. :rolleyes:

Meanwhile, last Wednesday, I ordered from 39dollarglasses.com, and got my glasses yesterday. Love them!!
 
we never got our order either. I think it is just one of those things - sometimes their order system messes up and it doesn't go through and their Customer Service Reps are complete jerks.

My last contact with them I got some lady. She was like "Well fine! I can refund you 50% off of your order." I was like -- uh no, you have not sent me any glasses. You seem to be totally unable to tell me whether or not you've ever made the glasses other than some weird story about maybe they're stuck in customs which you really don't know. You have no tracking number, you have no record of them ever being shipped. They might be, they might not be. I'm not paying anything for glasses that I've never received.

At that point she slammed the phone down on me.

American Express has issued me a refund. If it was just an $8 pair I wouldn't care so much, but it was 3 pairs of glasses for a little over $100.
