Any body order from them? They are having 3 sales in my area in the next few months.

Chicken $1.84 a pound

93/7 Ground beef $3.49 a pound

and Bacon 3.49 a pound

You have to buy a case of 40 pounds. (Well the bacon is 36 lbs)

Just wondering about the quality and business practices before making such a big investment.

I have heard of them but I haven't tried them out yet.

Mavis from http://www.onehundreddollarsamonth.com/ orders from them and loves them. I don't know her personally. And I don't know if they are paying her to advertise them. But she gives Zaycon positive reviews.

I'm curious to see if anyone else has tried them.

I love Zaycon chicken. (haven't ever ordered beef from them, as we butcher our own cows, and we don't eat much bacon! Have tried strawberries before but they go so fast I've always missed out!) Ideally I'd buy organic chicken if it was possible, but Zaycon is hormone and antibiotic free, and though not necessarily free-range, it's one of my best options here unless I butcher my own. (we don't have enough chickens to butcher regularly) I've never had issues with their chicken, though the biggest factor is knowing you have to bring it home and repackage it for freezing if you're not using it right away (and it's like 40+lbs, so I doubt you will! LOL), and I just come home and package them by 2 breasts each. One box lasts us about 5 months of moderately incorporating chicken into our meals...the last month before the next Zaycon delivery is usually one where we have to stretch it, but it's not enough to make me feel like we need 2 boxes. But I love the convenience of being able to just drive up and have them put the box in my car. Only VERY rarely have I seen any local grocery stores drop below the Zaycon price.

I'm also located near the majority of the Fabulessly FruGALs (where Mavis used to particpate in blogging, I believe) and they are where I originally heard of Zaycon several years ago. They all seem to love it, as well.

I should also mention that they've got great customer service, at least in my experience. Actually, the first time I ordered, for some reason I decided to wait until closer to the end of the pickup time to go get my chicken. They actually called me at my house 15 minutes before pickup ended (I was just walking out the door) to remind me, in case I'd forgotten. It made me feel a lot better about ordering so far ahead, because I'm always afraid I'll forget! (never have, but at least I know they don't just take your money and go if you don't show up right away)

We have gotten chicken from them and it was fine. Quality was good. The breasts are really big and I had a lot of prepping/cutting to use them. I wish they had beef or bacon near me.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering the price for a box of the chicken breasts. They are going to be in my city next week and I think I will give them a try.

I just ordered 80# last week. Chicken is AWESOME. The breasts are doubled - as in, two connected. I made chicken tenders out of one (set? pair?) of joined breasts, and it fed all five of us!

I was able to use my Food Saver and rebag the 80# into 25 fairly equal bags. Each bag is enough for one week of what we normally use in chicken. So, six months, minus our Disney week!
