Yukon Gold mashed potatoes

Hi all,

Thinking of dining at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Yukon Gold mashed potatoes - are they spicy or flavoured in anyway or just plain old mashed potatoes?

They are not spicy at all.

Yukon Gold is a type of potato (the meat of the potato is yellowish vs the white of an Idaho potato).

At WCC the mashed potatoes are very good - they are buttery and tasty but when we had them the were bits of the potato skin in them (i.e. they mashed them with the skin on which I love but you may not). They were very creamy and among my highest rated potatoes on the trip.

Thanks very much, I do not like spicy foods and we are thinking of booking our 3rd ADR for our August trip, dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I too thought they were scrumptious when we went last year! But then I truly love potatoes - any way, shape or form! I just booked our ADR for WCC for our October trip! Was lucky to get it! Sometimes these ADRs, especially for a group of 12 can be difficult. Trying to get everyone to agree is the worst part! But each family got to pick one table service, and this was our pick! DH cannot wait for the barbeque skillet! He's already drooling and we don't go for 3 months!
