Try some cream cheese...won't ADD much flavor, but it will give your ingredients something to "hold" on to and your flavors will blend together better.
OK, I just talked to my DS and nuera who live on the Border, but she's from Mexico. It sounds to them as if you put too much stuff in it. How much tomato is in it? You shouldn't have more than a touch of tomato, if at all.
Thank you to everyone for your great tips! Now I'm going to go and enjoy a bowl of guacamole,a bag of Tortilla chips and a beer!Mmmm.....
It tastes yummy now thanks to all!!!

Avacados
Salt - you need a good amt
Pepper
Garlic
Tomatoes (not a lot)
Onion
lime juice
That is really about it. I BEG you not to add sour cream or cream cheese or anything like that. I would add cilantro but my DH doesn't like it.
I find when mine is 'wrong' that it generally needs more salt or garlic.
My friend (of Mexican decent) makes his this way.
Avacado
roasted tomato
cliantro
red onions
lime juice ( 1/2 lime for each avacado)
salt
fresh orange juice (about 1/2 and orange for 4 avacados)
