Chapter 28: AutoMagically Having a PhilharMagical Day!
December 9th, 2012

We took a turn towards Tomorrowland next! I grabbed some Space Mountain Fastpasses and they were going to be good at 1:30 pm!

We used our Buzz Lightyear Fastpasses from earlier and went on that ride next!

I ended up doing pretty good! I wasn't a Galactic Hero or anything... but I was proud of my score.

I had to take a picture with some Toy Story merchandise in the gift shop. I cannot explain to you how much my appreciation level for these movies has skyrocketed over the past few months. I JUST LOVE THE TOYS!

Except Lotso is kind of a jerk. But he smells like strawberries. So I mean... I like him in stuffed animal form.

We went back to Fantasyland and I had to take some obligatory Fantasyland Construction photos! It's so insane that very soon we are going to look back on these photos when the whole thing will be complete. THEY'RE SO CLOSE!!!

The Beast's castle is lookin' fantastic. Seriously.

The carousel had a tarp over it, too!

Peter Pan's Flight was our next stop! It was wonderful, as usual. That ride is so classic.

Then we decided to use our surprise fastpasses for PhilharMagic! We had just enough time to squeeze it in before our lunch reservation! Hooray!

I just LOVE the signs they have in here. No matter how many times I see them, I stop to reread them whenever I visit this attraction. They just make me smile.

"Genie sings the blues." Ba-dum-ching!

We waited in the loading area and stood behind these doors.

"Caution: Doors Open AutoMagically Toward You." CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THE WORD "AUTOMAGICALLY!?" Like seriously, I think it's the cutest thing ever. I always laugh at that every time. It's just so Disney-ish. I think everyone needs to start using that word.

Soon we were let into the theatre!

The girls in front of us were SUCH brats. They wanted to sit in the middle of the row, and the cast member literally asked them twice to move all the way down to the end. However, once the cast member wasn't looking anymore, they switched rows and moved back to the middle. UGH it just annoyed me so much. I understand that you want a good view, but everyone has to move to the end of the row. It's not that hard to follow the rules!

Anyways... we were near the front of the theatre at the very end of the row, so we were able to sneak out of there very fast afterwords!

The show was beautiful, as usual. I would expect nothing less. I don't know what it is about PhilharMagic, but it gives me chills EVERY time. It is literally one of the most flawless attractions Disney has ever created. I just love it so much!

It was 1:48 pm when we left PhilharMagic, and our lunch destination was very close by........!

THAT'S RIGHT EVERYBODY! WE WERE DINING AT THE CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE FOR LUNCH!!!

And yes, I did plan this trip literally one week before. And I got a reservation at the Castle. For my Mom's birthday trip. AM I AWESOME OR AM I AWESOME!?

We were both really excited! Since our reservation wasn't until 2:10 and we got there at 1:50, they told us to come back at 2. That's the earliest they could seat us.

That wasn't a problem because I WAS STANDING NEAR THE CASTLE. You know what that means.... CASTLE PHOTO SHOOT!

So I have SO MUCH to catch up on here!!! With rehearsals being crazy I can't believe I have fallen so far behind. I jumped right ahead to your audition update. We basically had the same experience haha WE ARE THE EXAC SAME HEIGHT. Twins Anyway, I love that you see Disney and working for them in the same light as I do!!! It's so strange to me that there are people who think it's like a job at McDonald's or something. Also I constantly worry that when i move to Florida that my children will not appreciate Disney as much as I have growing up it literally terrifies me. I might have to disown them if that happens (just kidding... but really).

On another note. I remembered how much you LOVE the fountain of nations and when I was there in March Bobby told me the cutest story, I'm not sure if you know this already or not but I figure I'll tell you anyways!!! The College Program Accepts international Students to work in EPOCT and when they get accepted they are asked to bring a jar of water with them from their "homeland" and once they get here they have a ceremony where they all add their water to the fountain as a sort of welcome ceremony. I thought it was cute and I thought about you when he told me.

Now to catch up with the million pages that I missed!!!

Wow, Jess- your pictures are fantastic!! I especially like the one of you with the Pluto statue and the one of you and your Mom in front of the castle! The artistic shots you got of the castle are awesome too!

It is so cute that you got to lead the line with Mickey! I haven't seen him in the new place yet.

It is so funny that you mentioned the cannons and getting splashed on Pirates. When my hubby and I were there in January, we sat in the back of the boat. One of the funniest quotes of our trip happened when the cannon went off- it was so close that it blew my minnie mouse ears headband off, LOL and of course I said "That almost blew my ears off!!" HAHA I was definitely channeling my inner frump!

Also, I can't believe the April Fool's joke you played on Kristen, telling her you couldn't go on your trip anymore! I kind of freaked out too when I read it before I read that you were kidding, haha! Can't wait to read more about your Christmas trip and then of course your frump trip!

No way!!! Captain Eo is seriously like.. my dream attraction. I would love to see Michael's face all day everyday. Lmao. And the cool Captain Eo shirts. I'm honestly in love with MJ more than anyone on this earth and would love to be placed there. But there are so many attractions in Disney, what are the chances of me being put there? I can still dream! Even if I don't get it though, I hope I get another awesome attraction! Tell your friend I envy him That would be kinda fun to work with all the different costumes! I was telling my mom about all the roles and she got all excited about that one since she's quite the sewer/costume maker. But then I told her they don't actually make the costumes and she got sad. Lol.

Ah, I know what you mean. I think my advisor hates me because I've done such weird scheduling with my classes. I've already taken a semester off, and had a semester of classes that didn't go towards my major, and now I'm changing my major and taking another semester off for Disney... I'm never going to finish school by this point.. or it will just take 10 years But hey, I'm letting life take me where ever it points me, so even if school does take forever, as long as I'm happy, I'm not too worried. Sorry for the run on sentence But if you really didn't want to be stuck there for another semester, just apply to go after you graduate! I heard taking online classes while one the program is just too hard/time consuming.

Aww! That's precious lol. Captain EO is literally the one attraction that I haven't seen at Disney. That and the Liberty Belle Riverboat. I know, I know. Crazy!

I'm sure you will put at the attraction that is perfect for you. Disney seems to have a way of knowing where to place people so I'm sure it'll work out! But lol yeah the costumes would be great! I don't know what they do in that role exactly but I'm sure it'll be an amazing experience! I haven't heard of anyone who has done that yet so I am looking forward to hearing about what Alicia does there!

LOL you know what? You're doing what you need to do and it's all eventually going to work out! You're only in college once so do everything that you want and get some cool experiences under your belt! But yeah, I'm thinking I might just do it the semester I get out of college. That way I can just go and I could stay longer if I wanted to!

Ok here are my comments to these posts in a nutshell: basically, you take the most amazing pictures I've ever seen. They are absolutely gorgeous, and you capture the spirit of Disney perfectly. No joke, Disney needs to hire you as a photographer/princess.

You seriously take some of the best pictures of Disney that I've ever seen. What kind of camera do you use? Is it just a point and shoot or do you manually have to focus it?

Loved the pic of you and Mickey walking - so sweet! The sky in all the outside pictures was especially pretty - very blue with white puffy clouds.

Thank you so much! I have a DSLR and it's called a Nikon D3100. It is the best camera EVER. I got it for Christmas a few years ago and it's just the best thing to take pictures with. (especially at Disney!)

The Toy Story movies are basically my childhood defined... the first movie came out when I was in kindergarden so I kinda felt like I grew up with Andy. AHHHH love it. But yeah, Lotso's mean. He even has like a smirk on his face!!!! Chill out dude.

What was with the carrousel tarp though?! It was so weird! I usually ride it but like, mainly for the view... my idea of a beautiful view does not include the inside of a tent, ya know?

Oh my... what the... I feel like a complete frump right now because never have I EVER noticed that it said 'automagically.' WHAT THE MESS THOUGH. Hahha literally DAYS later I was in the exact same spot behind the doors. (Special... not really... )

Philharmagic is my favourite show Makes me so so happy!
I love how all the kids reach up and try and grab things.
Last time we were there as the lights went down and the voice over started this adorable little boy in the row in front of us called out loudly,
"Is that you Goofy??" He sounded so genuine and it was just the cutest thing. Awwh made my heart melt a little.

Last minute booking at the Royal Table! Why yes you ARE awesome!

I know! When Toy Story 3 came out I was a Junior in high school so I left for college a year after Andy did, so i could just relate to the whole thing so well. It brought tears to my eyes!! And ugh I know. He's a mean bear.

Well they were fixing it up. It was gone by the time I got back there in December, but I don't know what the difference was.
