3. EPSN Club
4. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
5. Whispering Canyon Cafe

Wow...a very diverse list, I must say. :rotfl2:

I didnt expect it, because most people have kids...

I've never actually been, I dont usually bring a jacket on vacation, unless its nyc...

This time I have my niece, so its not going to happen...eventually, when she gets old enough we'll take her...

But, she has already been to quite a few fine dining establishments and I plan on keeping her onsite this trip...but, we'll hit up:

Shula's
Blue Zoo
Wolfgang Puck
Bistro de Paris
Flying Fish
Jiko

most likely, that is my plan so far...what do you all think?

just curious but how can anyone not have V & A in their top 5. It's pretty much #1 by default.

JRT, I love your list! EXCEPT for Wolfgang. I hate that place, I seriously do. Loud and Noisy, bad service, didn't think the food was all that special. There are better places at DD if you wanted to eat there one night.

Victoria and Albert's was a fun, once type of thing. DH and I are big foodies (and winies, we own a wine store.) V & A was an event, fun, food was really good to excellent but...for the price, I just think these others are better.

1. Hands down, Citricos, a relatively undiscovered gem! (Shhh, don't tell, although the Unofficial Guide to Disney guys agree)

2. California Grill. Good to great food, depending on what you order and if it is a good night, great atmosphere, usually great service.

3. Jiko's. Fun, unusual food, good food, good service, great wines.

4. Flying Fish. Really good seafood, fun atmosphere.

5. Le Cellier. I don't think it is hype. I truly feel it is a great steakhouse, not just a great steak house for disney.

We will be at Disney tomorrow... (yeay!) so I will let you know if I agree still when I get back. This year, we are also giving Narcoosee's another chance. We went a few years ago and drunken conventioneers and Disney's lack of response ruined it for us.

Well dinner is a big part of the vacation!!! All the food is! But, we usually all pick at snacks in the park and share, that way we are hungry for dinner!

I meant the upstairs dining room for Wolfgang Puck. I loved it last time I was there. The downstairs was ok, but very busy, loud, etc.

Has anyone tried Il Mulino?

I havent been to Jiko's or Flying Fish...are they that good? Or WDW good? I want as close to fine dining as I can get...but, with my niece, I think its best to stay on property...

Jiko and Flying Fish are both excellent choices in my opinion. They're signature restaurants which means they're a cut above the usual table service you might expect at WDW.

Jiko is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and they have a unique and inventive menu and a great selection of South African wines. We've always had wonderful food and service when we've had dinner at Jiko.

Flying Fish is located at The Boardwalk - they specialize in seafood and offer a potato wrapped snapper that is, according to my hubby, da bomb! We also had very attentive service and great food here as well.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one of these establishments, but that's just my opinon. You'll find that everyone here has a different one, so take them all with a grain of salt. ;)

Hope you have a great trip!

Jiko
California Grill
Citricos
Flying Fish
Bluezoo

Again not counting V&A, I don't get there often. Artist Point should get honorable mention.

Jiko
Artist Point
O'Hana
California Grill
Tutto Italia (only sitting outside!)

I really like Cape May too, although I'm not sure I'd say it's one of the 5 best at Disney.

Table Service
Raglan Road
Rose & Crown
Kona Cafe
Hollywood Brown Derby
Rainforest Cafe

Counter Service
Pecos Bill's
Sunshine Seasons
Backlot Express
Pizzafari
Earl of Sandwich

I only included places that I have actually eaten at. I would love to try more places, but when you live with a horribly picky eater, who is an adult, you dine where you can find common ground.
