Your thoughts on the redesigned MDE interface?

Is it difficult to get lightening passes for large groups? Is it harder than fastpass to find overlapping times by making single reservations?

yes, if you search "plans" it will bring up the My Plans list.

If you click the teardrop on the bottom you will get the old map and option for wait times list.

To use Genie+ you need to make sure you have the newest updated version of MDE.

I dont like it, but i never like change. I find it frustrating trying to navigate the ap. But at least i have 10 more days untill im there. Took me 2 hours to try and add the genie plus to the tickets. And then 20 minutes to find where the ticket section went to make sure it was added. Lol. If you have someone meeting you there, you need to click on a day your all there so you can get the genie plus for everyone. Otherwise, they dont include the whole party. So , me and my daugter are there for 5 days first, then wife is flying in. I could not get the genie for all three of us untill i moved the date to when we were all there.

You need to have your operating system and download the new version of the MDE app.
On my iPhone, it didn’t show up on the list of apps to update. I had to search for it and then saw the Update button.

I do think the interface is a little clunky in that way, my trip isn't until April, but i have to scroll through the entire calendar to get to there....if I have tickets tied to a resort reservation, it should just *default* to that date.

It does highlight them 8n the calander. But i forget what day is where untill clicking on it. You xan pull up your plans also , like it was before , if your seaech for it. So more steps to accomplish the same task.

Ok been playing non the app today. I linked my tickets and added the things we want to do and it doesn't do anything to show me a plan. Our first day in park is 10/25, staying at timeshare off property.

Can I not see the plans on genie before entering the park? I realize things change but just thought there would be a basic plan showing. What am I missing?

PS, I never used the old app, I was waiting for genie to come out, as it's in place during our trip, just got the new app today. Any help much appreciated, I am a bit lost, I haven't been to Disney in 10 years.
