Your tailgate foods!

Well, my parents are tailgaiting afficianados and I was brought up to it. The old staples usually work best. Here's some slightly more interesting options:

Take shrimp in a ziploc with italian dressing (or some similar marinade) and grill

Soups are often overlooked but are not hard to port or heat up...same with spaghetti sauce

Kebabs

Okay, you probably won't want to do this, but once a year my parents:

Bring one of those big several gallon turkey fryers
Fill with water
Add live lobsters
Melt butter
Serve

lobster sounds yummy!!

I think for tomorrows game we are going to go simple....
pulled pork sands, chips/dip, fruit, cheese/crackers, antipasto, BEER!

Some of my favorite tailgating foods have been: ribs, chili, wings, potato salad, italian pasta salad, corn muffins, and of course.. jell-o shots! :thumbsup2

Am I reading this correctly? It's a thread from last year?

yes, I searched the cb and found this - just curious if anyone had new ones.......I am desperate for local type ideas ....like we have the Bourbon Meyer, Swamp Chili....etc...guess I am not too great with "google"ing for my info!;)

eta....found some great sites on there...I guess most recipes deal with cooler weather foods.....we don't have to contend with that too often!

lol, I just saw you were in Florida. Tailgating & Florida don't sound like they go together.
