Your reviews of Midwest Airlines

All this time I thought only NWA flew out of Duluth, MN but in checking out prices and schedules for next years trip discovered that Midwest Airlines flies out of Duluth too!

I welcome your comments/reviews about Midwest. Am seeing some good prices for the dates we're going so am hoping they'll hold out until we can make our room ressies. LOL

We fly Midwest out of Milwaukee whenever possible. Milwaukee is their headquarters and they always have the most nonstops out of there. Their service is amoung the best I have flown on. I usually fly out the first flight of the day and I have experienced nearly 100% on time departures.

I'm not sure what they fly out of Duluth, but flights they designate as Signature Service has wide 2X2 leather seats (think first-class) throughout the plane. Flights designated Saver Service have standard 2x3 coach seating throughout the plane.

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing that........I'm noticing that most of the flights seem to have a stopover in Milwaukee so tell me, how's that airport? Big enough to get lost in if we have to change planes or.....hm..maybe we don't change planes?
I'm used to getting to Minneapolis and RUNNING for my next gate. LOL

Midwest hasn't started flying out of DLH yet, but I think the airline is beginning flights in March or April. I have looked at the prices, but so far Midwest and NW are about the same price.

I hope that Midwest will stay in Duluth!

We fly back home to Milwaukee only on Midwest Express-they're service has been great each time-and the kids just love the cookies at the end of the flight!!!!

About the Milwaukee Airport, we love it. It is the perfect size (not a montrosity like O'Hare). You would have to work very hard to get lost in the Milwaukee airport.

My DH use to work there for TSA and really misses it!!! It really is a well run Airport-He now is working in Atlanta and is having a hard time adjusting to the difference in the way things are run!!!!

Service from Duluth to Orlando on Midwest will require a connection in Milkwaukee. The aircraft used from DLH-MKE is a Beech 1900D Turbo prop. These aircraft are extremly safe but very small with seating 1x1. I believe MKE-MCO is serviced on a supersaver aircraft but still, service is very very good...

I live in Milwaukee and have only flied Midwest Express. I would never consider a different airlines if possible. The airport is very easy to navigate as Midwest has the entire D concourse to itself. Once you land from Duluth you will not have to even go through security at all. If the prices are close, I would definately fly Midwest over anyone else. I know when Northwest had direct flights out of Milwaukee, I would still pay the little extra and take the little later flight just to fly Midwest.

Also if for some reason your connecting flight from Duluth is running a little late, they will hold the MCO flight to get everyone on. The only reason I was ever delayed was due to a snowstorm at a connecting airport and they held 20 minutes for those passengers. Plus they have the great cookies on the flights after 10:00 a.m.
