Your review needed for Wine Country Trattoria please

I ate there on my last trip and it was pretty good. My husband complained about not enough sauce on his spaghetti, but overall we all liked it. You can click on my trip report in my siggie- I have a bunch of pictures from the food when we ate there. Sitting outside is nice on a warm day. It is fun to people watch :)

We ate here for dinner the last week in May and enjoyed it very much. I thought the same thing about the sauce on the spaghetti and asked if I could get some more and the server was back in a few minutes with more than enough. Good meal!

The Trattoria used to be one of my Mom's and my favorite places for dinner. We would get a table and watch the light parade and have great italian food and wine. But after our experience this past December, we will never eat there again. We waited for almost 45 minutes for a table (when no one was there and there were tons of empty tables and servers were standing around shooting the breeze) we were finally seated and placed our drink order with our waiter. Mom ordered a glass of wine and I just ordered iced tea. My tea came quickly and our server came to get our food order, but still no wine. We placed our food order and then began to wait. 30 minutes later our food arrived. Still no wine. So Mom went outside the restaurant to the bar to get one. We never saw our waiter again at our table. After we ate our cup of soup each and a shared lasagna we proceded to wait again. After 20 minutes I flagged down a manager to complain. He did get our bill and give us 20% off, but it was not enough to ever get us to go back. The service was terrible, the food was meh at best and it really was too bad because previously it had been so wonderful. I know it seems like a small thing about the wine, but the worst part was that it was on our bill when I first got it and it had never been delivered. Definitely not magical.

Our meal was a bit better than Olive Garden and definitely better than what I can make from Costco. Also, when compared to other Disney choices for sit down meals, it was not that overpriced (lasagna rustica was about $12, not the $20 plus that we expected).

So, humor me. Get a package of fresh, spinach and cheese ravioli from Costco, bake it for an hour with a jar of Paul Newman's Bombolina Sauce, and top it with your choice of cheese.

Now, put it in your pocket and carry it in the park all day.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ :)

I really enjoy WCT. We go to DL alot and it's the only TS we eat at. I love the Pizzeta Salad.

Pizzeta Salad* - Romaine hearts, Roma tomatoes, smoked bacon, crumbled blue cheese, Kalamata olives with a creamy Italian dressing served on a warm pizzeta crust $9.99 I wish I had a picture of the salad, but I don't.

This is really good and enough for my DM and I to share. The bread is warm and the salad, on top, is cold. Yummy!

I usually make ADR (or PS) when we arrive for the day. I'm always able to get in for lunch. I don't however, go during the really busy times. The only constraint on calling the day of is they can't make the ADR less than 1 hour from your call. Found this out once when I called from cel phone while in GRR line.

I like the breadsticks they serve I just wish they were served warm. :confused3 Also, I don't care for the Sun dried tomato butter they serve. I always ask for plain butter. I do have a picture of the breasticks.
