I've been wondering for a while. If $50,000 fell from the sky, and you HAD to spend it on a vacation. Plan your perfect vacation...
One BIG trip with lats of family/friends
Several smaller trips
or B2B2B2B... until the money ran out???
Which itineraries, room type? WDW or not?

Love that idea!
There's so many places I want to go, and seeing all these threads doesn't help--wish someone would give me $$$ to travel.

It would not not be spent on a cruise...well, not a DCL one. We are getting PCS'd to Rota, Spain, so I would use the $50,000 to go to a different city in Europe (or Northern Africa ie Morocco and Egypt) every weekend for a year.

Panama Canal Concierge. So far it is still on my bucket list.
I'd put some park days club level at a delux resort in front of that. We've never done the parks, but I know a nice long cruise after wards would be a necessary reprieve. Oh, and I'd want a suite for the cruise not a V.

(I guess this dream scenario also assumes I have unlimited vacation days :rotfl:)

I fly out to LAX, spend 6 days in Disneyland before heading to San Diego for EB Panama Canal cruise. Then, 2 weeks in WDW staying at the Beach Club during the Epcot food & wine festival and then finish it off with a week on the Fantasy. Hopefully, there is a little money left over to purchase a new liver.

A trip to Australia is high on my list, as is a trip to Machu Picchu , both available through ABD. That would more than kill the $50k

Safaris in South Africa and Kenya with a stopover at Victoria Falls as well (currently at the top of my bucket list). Continue over to India to see the Taj Mahal and then up into China to see the great wall, forbidden city and the Disneylands in Hong Kong and Shanghai before heading over to Australia & New Zealand. If there is money left over (we would not be staying at fancy pants places mind you and it is just my husband and I) we'd blow the remainder sailing around the south pacific until it IS out.

No US parks, no DCL. We manage those just fine without money falling from the sky... ;)

Although I love your B2B2B2B until the money runs out idea (love love love) I would probably go for the one big trip with lots of family. While the first option would be soooo relaxing I feel we would have so many more great memories with the family trip.
Also, since there are young ones with this imaginary family trip and I'm guessing the money is found money, won in a lottery, I would take the DCL route. Now, if I can only make that happen. ;)

I'd probably put the 50k in my vacation fund and pull some out some yearly to supplement my yearly trips. I plan on going to Australia, cruising the Chilean Fjords, and cruising around Asia. It would be nice not to have to work so hard to pay for it. If I had to use it all at once...call me crazy, but I'd love to cruise Antarctica.
I forgot Dubai and Israel. I need way more than 50k.

Id like to do something like the Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona, the transition to Dover, and the British Isles. I don't know if those actually line up, but whatever. If there was still money left (I think there would since it would be just me and DH, not concierge), I'd take the ferry to Dublin and drop a good portion in Ireland.

Perhaps when the new ships come online, I will actually be able to do this cruise. Flight to Tokyo spending several days at Tokyo Disney, and then boarding the Wonder which sails to Shanghai to visit Disneyland Shanghai and then on to Hong Kong to visit Disneyland Hong Kong.

I'd probably go on a cruise, yes, and a WDW/Universal trip, but most of that would be spent between South Korea and Japan to be honest. Maybe a trip to Tokyo Disney, but eh, we'd see.

Drive to San Diego from AZ, jump on the Fantasy, head to Hawaii, spend a few days cruising the islands than continue on to the South Pacific hitting Fiji, Bora Bora and a few others before hitting Australia and continue onto New Zealand. From there I'd head east to Chile, then head up the coast of South and Central America, and finally finish back in San Diego.

I don't know if $50,000 would cover that for my family of 4 or not but I'd love it.

I'd visit Tokyo Disney, Shanghai Disney, Hong Kong Disney, DCL Panamá Canal Cruise, WDW and Disneyland. I'm pretty sure I'd run out of money halfway through the trip, but it would be totally worth it.
@phinz I had no idea there was a World Cruise. I'm definitely adding it to my bucket list.
