What is your favorite Historical book. Mine happens to be Anastasia: The Riddle of Anna Anderson. It is so good that i have read it about 5 times. I hope to get the book for my birthday which is in about 2 weeks.

My favorite historical book....

Tie between "Paddy Whacked: The Untold Story of the Irish-American Gangster", "Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Boston Mob", "The Westies: Inside New York's Irish Mob", and "Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders".

Those are my total favorite historical books of all-time. But I'm supposed to go book shopping this weekend and I really want to buy "Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West" because we read an excerpt in US History and it was really good.

I have a favorite historical fiction book which is Call Innocent Traiter: A novel of lady jane grey. by alison weir.

All the books by Phillipa Gregory I mean they are based on history but have some embellishments. I love to read about the royal courts of England.

The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara (Civil War)
A Midnight Clear by William Wharton (WWII)

Rena's Promise.

It's about a girl and her sister at Auschwitz-Birkenau, but it's unlike any other accounts of the camp I've ever read. And I've head alot about the Holocaust.

But I love history books, it's one of my favorite genres.

Ah that book was so good
read her others
The Other Boylen Girl
The Constant Princess
and there's one I'm forgetting...

omg, i love history books, my favorite would have to be
Night by Elie Wiesel,
I have lived a thousand years by Livia Bitton-Jackson,

Founding Brothers by Joseph J. Ellis (not finished yet but really good so far), Flags of Our Brothers by James Bradley (I also want to read his othe book Flyboys [both are now big movies])

and anthor one that is not truely history but I guess you could say modern international book? maybe, well it is The Swallows of Kabul by Yasmina Khadra

The Classical World: From Homer to Hadrian
Livy's stuff
The Samurai: A Military History of Japan

i really loved Out of the Dust

it's about the dust bowls in oklahoma and stuff it's really sad but it's really good too

Out of the dust was really good...I wrote a letter to the author in like 5th grade for a class assignment and she wrote me back an amazing postcard that I still have

Night- Elie Wiesel.

I'm not a big fan of historical books though.

We are getting ready to read Night in English class.
I'm excited.

I've read 2 other books about the holocaust that were very good but I can't remember the names.

The Diary of Anne Frank
Absolutley love this book.

Is that a good book.

We're you asking that as a question or were you saying it was a good book? Sorry, I confuse easily.
Well- in case you were asking, yes, it was an excellent and sad book.
