My first ever magical moment was when I was 4-years-old, back then (1974), Mickey Mouse used to walk around the parks, and if you were lucky, you’d bump into him. I did!

Throughout my teenage years, I don’t recall any Magical Moments, however when I became a Mom, I experienced many Magical Moments through the eyes of my children.

One that comes to mind is the time my son suddenly got a nose bleed in the Hall of President’s. After I did my best to clean my son up, a very nice Cast Member gave my kid a brand new Disney t-shirt, free of charge! Thanks to this CM my son was able to continue enjoying his day at Magic Kingdom! You might say this was a Morbid Magical Moment perhaps, but my son was impressed! Never mind, the nose bleed, my son was ecstatic with his new cool [free] t-shirt!

Life is not magical but there are Magical Moments… what’s yours?

Back when EMH were awesome and the characters were in Fantasy Land area, we first saw Chip and Dale and DBFF and I had a dance contest, her with Dale and me with Chip. Then we went to see Goofy, each of us had a great interaction, my husband made some comment how he was jealous of Goofy, we got pics and autographs and walked away and he started with another family. We were strolling over to Pluto when we heard heavy footsteps running after us, it was Goofy, he came right up to me and handed me a flower he had picked and gave me a hug. The whole night was amazing but that was the icing on the vacation cake.

In 2013 my bestfriend and I took her daughter (6 yrs old at the time) for her first trip to WDW. We stayed in a royal room at Riverside, I wanted her to have the best trip. On our first full day we went to the MK, and walked under the train station. A very nice CM came right up to us and asked if the princess wanted a ride to the castle. I was so excited and I know that anyone can ride onnthese vehicles on any day, but he came right up to us and it was her first time ever in the MK, so it made it even more magical. We rode us real slow up Main Street, we talked, laughed, waved to the other guests and he dropped us right off in front of the castle. My bestfriends daughter was so excited and happy, it was one of those "proud of disney" moments for me lol. I'll never forget it.

On that same trip we had an early Crystal Palace breakfast. Eliana had her autograph book and pen out at the table when we were seated. Her big pen exploded and got all over her hands and she was so upset. A manager at CP witnessed it and ran over to a shop on Main Street and got her a new autograph pen. It was something so nice of her to do.

It is little moments like that, that are really big moments to me.. We always remember them.

We had a big family get together at the World for the 1999/2000 roll over - about 15 people in all. We were at EPCOT for NYE and my daughter, who was around 14 at the time, fell ill. I took her back to Ft. Wildness Campground and we really didn't have any contingency plans to meet with the rest of the family later since we didn't know if we could make it back (nobody had cell phones at the time, either). She started feeling better so we went back to EPCOT and just started walking around. The place was a zoo, as you can image, but we ran into my wife and some of the family about 20 mins after entering the park!

That was pretty cool but the real "magical" part of the night: At midnight, with all the fireworks going off and the celebration in full gear, my wife and I looked over at her grandparents - both of whom were in wheelchairs. They gave each other a little kiss and said, "we made it!". They way they looked at each other was very magical that evening.

I've only had one really magical moment at WDW and it actually happened this past October.

My mother had went with me and my sons on our last trip and I took her to MNSSHP (Halloween was her favorite holiday). Sadly, she passed away from cancer and didn't get to go with us in October. I was nervous, because it was my first trip without her. My party and I were able to get a reservation for one of the MNSSHP dessert partys (my first dessert party ever). The rest of my party sat at the table while I went to stand at the railing to watch the fireworks. A cast member approached me and whispered in my ear "the people at the table beside you didn't show up so you can have their candy mugs". I turned to look at her and it was an elderly woman about the same age as my mom. I told her that was very kind and that I appreciated it. She informed me her husband had died of cancer and she came to work at WDW to make other peoples lives have special moments. We chatted for about 20 minutes and I told her about my mom passing away from cancer as well.

As she turned to walk away, I looked at her name tag. She was from the same state as me (Tennessee) and her name.....Gail. The same as my mothers. I literally stood there and cried. It was like my mom was letting me know, through someone else, that she was still there with me to celebrate Halloween in spirit. :-)

We were waiting for the Liberty Belle to arrive and started talking to a cast member while waiting. When it arrived, he told us to follow him and we got to go into the Captain's room, where we got to pull the cord for the whistle and "steer" the boat.

During another trip, we were picked to do the opening show for DHS. We were brought inside the park before it opened, waited in a room with drinks until they came to get us. Our big lines were to say who we were and where we were from, then say "Lights, camera, action!". Then they drove us in the old car over to RnRC where we got to ride first and were given a large picture of ourselves at the end!

One trip, my brother-in-law had an issue with his room key mid-trip. We had to go to the front desk to get a new one for him. That night, when we gave the card over to use the dining plan to pay for our meals, we noticed that the dining plan had been completely reset, we had all of our original credit totals from the start again! We went back to the front desk where the manager told us that if we had any trouble using all the extra credits, he enjoyed steak and would help us use one or two! There was so much food that trip....

Another trip, there was a mixup with billing and Disney ended up giving us a $100 gift card and 20 of these VIP fastpass cards that could be used at any machine to get instant fastpasses. I think there were 3 on each card for a total of 60 extra fastpasses! We gave away a bunch of fastpasses for fun and went on our favorites over and over! We were happier about the fastpasses than we were about the gift card! :teeth:

We were also chosen once to be part of the crew on the Backlot Tour movie part that they do at the beginning. We both got completely soaked that time, but my wife was the one who had to sit in the room where they dump a ton of water on her! :p

We've had a fair amount of magic on our trips! pixiedust:

In January I was sitting at Columbia Harbor House eating a slow lunch and relaxing a little bit and DS12 went over to Memento Mori to look around because he loves that shop. He started telling the CMs there (very slow day in January) what a huge Haunted Mansion fan he was and how we had taken the Marceline to the MK tour that morning, specifically so he could go underneath the ride and look at the ballroom scene, how he loved the Haunted Mansion even when he was really little. He told them all about what he knew about the history of the ride, the backstory, the Pepper's Ghost illusion and how he used it in his haunted house he had at home on Halloween, etc. He probably talked to them for like 30 minutes before I finally went over to get him. When I got there, he said goodbye and thank you and one of them asked us to hang on a second. Then he went into the back and brought him out one of those t-shirts that look like the ride CM costumes and a black ball cap that said Ghost Host on the front. They gave him the free t-shirt and hat plus an "Official Ghost Host of the Day" certificate. He almost died. It was definitely the highlight of his trip. Heck, it was probably the highlight of his whole life so far. Very, very cool of them and certainly completely unexpected and magical for a HUGE 12-year-old Haunted Mansion fan.

I was frantically searching for the Main Street Station penny press machine when a CM gave me a penny that he had laid on the tracks to have the train smash it. DS was very thrilled to get his pressed penny and the smushed penny. It's in his pressed penny book right now.

When I was a kid, my family was at Magic Kingdom waiting to meet Pluto. This was the mid 80s and the characters sort of just appeared and a line formed and somehow my sister got pushed. Can't remember if she got pushed out of line or pushed to the ground but instead of meeting Pluto she ended up on a bench sobbing with my mom. Pluto saw, bounded over to her, and started "licking" her until she stopped crying. We all got Pluto hugs and kisses and a big family picture.

When DH and I went in 2003 he had no interest in the characters but was along for the ride with me as I enjoyed taking pictures with them. We were waiting for Pooh & friends at AK and as the character entered, Tigger zoned in on my grumpy husband. Bounced all the way down the ramp RIGHT TO HUSBAND and got him to jump with him. It. Was. AWESOME. :)

One time in Adventure Land a cast member asked if we had a few minutes. They needed some children for the photo pass photographers to take some practice pics with Mickey, Minnie, Rafiki, and Donald before a convention meet and greet. We said yes, of course, and got to spend a nice half hour "playing" with the characters and getting our pictures taken.

Three years later, on our first day, we entered the park for an early morning breakfast with Cinderella. My granddaughter came thru the train station and was in total awe of the Castle. A cast member once again asked if we were busy. We met him at City Hall and did what is now Disney's Family Magical Tour. I think they were practicing the event. The grandchildren got to play games with Peter Pan, ride Winnie the Pooh with a cast member and have a private meeting with Mickey and Minnie. It was truly magical.

We now go to WDW looking to make magic for others. Magic does make everything so much better.

Mine was when DD pulled the sword from the stone. It was our very first day at Disney, ever, for all three of us (me, DH, and DD). She had tried to pull the sword that morning with no luck. It rained that afternoon - before, during, and after her BBB appointment (where she came out looking like Peg Bundy - but that's another story) and we had an awful time trying to keep her poncho over her hair. It was not feeling like a very magical afternoon. We squeezed under the awning at the Friar's Nook with about 50 others during a particularly long downpour, and when it finally stopped, we came out and walked past the sword again. She decided to give it another go and was SO elated (and shocked!) when it rose up! It definitely made the rest of the afternoon feel more magical.

Thank you for sharing your Magical Moments! They are all beautiful and they all represent the reason we keep going to Disney, come what may!

It wasn't in the parks, but we used to drive down to WDW and stop for 1 night on the way. One year, our van was stolen from the hotel parking lot with all of our luggage in it. We got a rental and drove the rest of the way to WDW, but my mom just broke down sobbing when we were checking into the resort because we had none of our stuff. We were given an upgrade from, at the time, Dixie Landings, to the Contemporary and they gave my sister and I a free stuffed animal (we were really young at the time). I don't know if a CM had connections or if they just relayed our story, but they took it upon themselves to get my mom a personal shopper at a nearby department store to pick out everything to get us through the vacation. Although my parents still had a mess of police reports and insurance details to work through, the CMs made sure we didn't have to give up on our vacation.

Back in 2011, I was just starting to get my courage about me to meet up and speak with my birth family. I had hunted them down the previous year and had finally arranged a meeting with my grandparents while I was working in the World.
Well, I'm a fl native and have been to Disney about a jillion times, so I thought I would try to make some magic for my grandparents, but they ended up one-upping me. I've been terrified of riding ToT all my life (a fear of elevators doesn't help), and on this trip, my grandfather actually bullied me onto the ride. "If an old fart like me can do it, so can you." And, well, I rode it, but the picture that came out was of sheer terror. My grandfather laughed when we saw the pic and told the CMs at the photobooth the story how, after 21 years, he had bullied me on during our first meeting. They smiled and the next thing I knew, we had copies of our photograph to celebrate.

The most magical thing happened to me and it was while I was working at the world. I have photos of my first ride with my birth grandparents, and the only grandparents I ever had the chance to meet.

We were walking into the Land pavilion late one night, and my oldest was wearing a Birthday Button for his sixth birthday. A cast member-- Luca, from Columbia-- came over and said "Grady! I can't believe I found you! Goofy has been looking for you ALL DAY to wish you a Happy Birthday!" He led Grady over to a wall phone and picked it up-- and Goofy wished him a Happy Borthday! Grady was in awe. The next morning we were at the Land again and Luca was working LWTL. Even though Grady didn't have on his button, he remembered his name and asked if he'd had a good birthday. Pure Disney Magic!

We were worried that DS2 would be scared on 7DMT. He just barely made the ht requirement. We made the call to give it a try and when we got off he was grinning from ear to ear. The ride picture is this tiny face beaming with pure joy. Magical.

And seeing the girls transformed at BBB. They had a blast and we have a lot of magical pictures there as well.

Not really at the park, but I took my DDs for their first WDW trip when they were 4 and 2, and of course took loads of pictures. When I was going through them after the trip was over I noticed something very familiar about one of them, and I went through my old albums and found that my dad took one of me in almost the same spot when I was 4 as one that I had of my 4 year old near the entrance by city hall. That was my first trip too and our faces looked almost exactly the same. Looking at the pics side by side was kinda magical to me, like looking through a time machine.

I have two favorites.

My first ever visit was when my oldest was 4 and I was pregnant for baby #2. The weeks leading up to our trip we talked and talked about what he wanted to do and of course he wanted to meet mickey and a few other very popular characters. The night before our Magic Kingdom day he announced that he wanted to meet the white rabbit. I thought that was a strange request because 1) he had only seen the movie once and 2) I had no clue that we would have a chance of seeing him. As soon as we entered the park the white rabbit was to our right and there was NO line. He was so excited. I seriously cried because his wish came true.

Our second was when we were there maybe two or three years later we took the train around to the back of Mickey's toon town fair to wait to meet mickey with our then 2 year old and our 6 year old. I believe we were second in line but they took maybe four or five groups back to meet mickey and we all got dream fastpasses. That was so exciting for us and really made our trip more magical.

After my cousins horse passed away, I planned a quick trip to the world where we flew in on a Saturday and out the next day. We were at MK at night and really wanted to ride big thunder but there were only a few minutes left until closing and we were in tomorrowland. We decided to run across the park but my cousin was still recovering from a fractured femur so we went as fast as we could. We approached the ride and it looked closed but a cm saw us out of breath and said you guys can ride! We rode in an empty train. Disney will always be my happy place.
