What are your ideas for a new restaurant in WDW?

CS or TS-where would it be? What would the theme be? What would the cuisine be? Any other special additions? (characters, shows, etc...)

I would LOVE to see a TS Indian restaurant in DAK! Traditional Indian cuisine, maybe some cool live music, like a sitar player or traditional drumming!

I would also like to see a quality CS New York deli in DHS! Good sliced deli meat sandwiches, matzoh ball soup, knishes, the works!

Lastly, I would like to see a signature restaurant that is ONLY open for adults, or even age 13+. Same idea as the no kid rule at Victoria & Alberts, but it would be a restaurant that is much more affordable (just signature prices would be fine) & serve good "normal" food (seafood, steaks, chicken, etc... I'm not a fan of the V&A cuisine). It would be romantically themed, view a nice view of either an AKL savannah or DAK safari, or a view of the World Showcase with piped in music for Illuminations!

Let's hear your ideas:)

I absolutely love any food from Vietnam.....its pretty hard to find unless you live near a big city. Romanian or Polish food might be cool too!

I was just going to say Vietnamese!! YUM YUM YUM!!

Perla, I agree with teh NY Deli idea!! mmmm Knishes are sooooo yumtastic!

perla75: I saw the title of this thread and had to post immediately...then saw that your first choice was mine, too! I'd love a real Indian restaurant at WDW. The obvious place for it would be DAK, but it could be at Epcot. Do they think that Indian food's too "exotic"? I was very disappointed that Y&Y doesn't have a single Indian dish on the menu.

In the women's bathroom at Y&Y there's a poster for a Dilip Kumar film (Mela--in case you haven't been in there) and loads of Indian stuff all over the place but zero Indian food. Please, Mickey, we'd love some!

I think a Pirates of the Caribbean TS character meal would be awesome! I don't care what the food is like, give me Jack Sparrow :rotfl2:

I hope they wouldn't think it's too exotic!! It seems like an obvious choice of a restaurant to me! Indian food is so popular where I live....maybe it's just not as popular of a cuisine in FL?

I also second the idea of a good Vietnamese restaurant. Even counter service would be nice - can't beat a nice bowl of soup and a summer roll.

I'd just be happy if they could improve on San Angel. I seriously can get better Mexican food in my little town in Wisconsin.

But a new restaurant would be nice. I've thought that something like the restaurant in Ratatouille with some kind of character interaction would be great.

Early intel indicates that Sanaa at the AKL will have some Indian influences, so that's a good thing for Indian fans. I'm looking forward to trying it in May!

I'd like to see a restaurant that specialized in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. I spent some time in Israel in January for the first time, and just loved the food - all sorts of creative salads and meats and fresh breads, and served family style. I was all over that.

I would love to see an Adventurer's Club themed dinner show. Ideally doing something like a carousel of progress where the dining room changes throughout dinner.

They could put it at AKL or AKV.

If they do it right, it would become as popular or more popular than Hoop Dee Doo.

A Belgian cafe at WS that serves mussels, frites and belgian beer.

I would absolutely ADORE an authentic Polish restaurant!

Pierogies, Kielbasa, Golabki... yummm! :goodvibes

Although Indian food is fantastic too.... great idea, OP! :woohoo:

I agree with the Polish food...that would be awesome.

Unfortunately, I'm not keen on Indian food...but I know others love it so that would be okay too.

I would love to see some more restaurants geared for the boys. I have a 10 year old that is tired of only seeing the fab 5 or the princesses with his younger sister. Perhaps a restaurant in Adventureland that was Peter Pan themed, Captain Hook, Wendy, Peter, Mr. Smee and Tink. That way both boys and girls would be hooked (no pun intended). Considering how packed Pixie Hollow is I think that might be as hard to get into as the castle.

Also some sort of Pixar themed restaurant at DHS. Clearly they have enough of them at meet and greets they could surely do a dinner with them rotating.

When I read the OP, I was thinking something along the lines of a combination of the two post above. I have two DS's and I would love to see a pirates themed character meal. They could have both Captian Jack and Captian Hook and Mr. Smee. My thought was the Captian Hook, Mr. Smee, and Peter and the gang for breakfast, b/c we all know Captian Jack isn't going to be up at that time of day. :lmao: Then Captian Jack and his pirates take over for dinner, and then they could trade between the two for lunch. It could be a buffet that has selections from different Caribbean island and some of the normal buffet items thrown in for picky eaters. The location wouldn't matter as long as it was at WDW.
