We are planning our trip for Dec. and I am trying to find a great place to eat prior to MVMCP. I am looking for a place in the MK or in the MK area. We will have 4 kids w/ us ages 1, 2 and 5. I wanted dinner to be a little special that night, so I was thinking LTT, but would appreciate any opinions or other ideas. I am planning on doing breakfast at CP before the park opens on another day, so I probably don't want to do this again.
Thanks!!

We have eaten dinner at LTT and CP before MVMCP. We loved them both, but at LTT the character interaction was fabulous and they had some Christmas items on too. You can usually book LTT when you buy your tickets. CP closes early and becomes a spot to give out cookies and hot chocolate.

I agree with Granmaz, LTT is a great place to go before MVMCP, and I like the fact that you can book it when you buy your tickets.

I've eaten at every MK restaurant before a party and also at Chef Mickey's.

We really enjoyed Tony's, CP and the Castle but the castle is now too expensive for us so no more eating there.

Although we did LTT twice due to it being festive, we really didn't like the food so we won't do it anymore.

Love the steak at Tony's and the desserts!

LOVE everything about CP.

So if I were to plan a place to eat this year, it would be between CP and Tony's.

IMHO, eating in the park is much more convenient and relaxing than eating outside the park. :thumbsup2

Thank you both for your response! Do tickets go on sale before the 180 day ADR mark? Just trying to figure out what is the earliest date for me to make the ADR. Also, what time would you suggest making the ADR?

Tickets have gone on sale on May 1 for the past 2 years so it may be before your 180 day mark.

I prefer eating around 5:00p or 5:30p but some people prefer earlier. I definitely wouldn't eat any later than 5:30p though.

Have fun planning.

So if the tickets do go on sale on May 1st and I buy my tickets on that day, then I can also make my dinner reservations on that day even though it is before the 180 day mark?
Thanks for all of your help!

Yes, that has been the case for the past few years but only for LTT and Tony's since they are open before and during the party as well.

Some CMs in Disney dining don't know this though so you need to say to them it's a 'special event' and that LTT is open during it so you should be able to book it. They should be able to find the info to let you book it.

I would pick LTT since it is a family style buffet. That way you can help your kids without having to leave the table.

beattyfamily...Thanks for the great tips!
Ron...good point about the family style buffet!
