Your Favorite Vacation, other Than Disney

Bar none, my favorite vacation spot is Vieques, Puerto Rico. It is so relaxing and has the most beautiful and isolated beaches. There is nothing like the sight of wild horses in front of your house or the sounds of coqui frogs as you go to sleep. We love it so much that we bought a house there.

Disney is about the only place we go for a vacation for the whole family. We have traveled other interesting places where I attend medical meetings (so I am working and not really on vacation). My two favorite places are Charleston, SC and Santa Fe, NM. Both are so different from central Indiana, and have so many interesting things to see and do. I would like to go either to San Diego or to the Grand Canyon area for a meeting, also.

My favorite vacation ever taken (besides Disney) was to see "my people" in Slovenia. Not likely to repeat that trip anytime soon due to time/cost constraints, so the favorite place I like to return to for a vacation (again, other than Disney) is Montana. Beautiful.

We're going to Slovenia and Slovakia this summer. I love going with the Alpenfest tour group each summer to Europe. We usually go to Austria and Germany.

If you mean a big vacation it would have to be a cruise but for smaller trips throughout the spring/summer/fall it would have to be camping in Wild Wonderful West Virginia

a vacation other than disney? yeah right.
my family doesn't vacation much, so disney can be are only favorite vacation. it's fun and all to stare at walls in woodstock or go to PEI and swim until our skin is wrinkled from the water- but i'd rather be in disney.

When money is a issue, since Disney can be really expensive. Lets face it yes it is even though it is worth it. We go to Hayward Wisconsin. There we can kick back, relax, fish if you want and the scenery there is so beautiful. Not the mention the most mouth watering to die for pies at a Norweigan restaurant close to down town Hayward.

I've been going to OC, NJ, every summer since I was born. My family and I love it there. Great beach, family atmosphere, wonderful boardwalk. DH has been converted to an OCNJ lover, too.

Other than Disney, I really cannot say I've taken too many vacations. Though last year I had fun going to California for the Rose Parade/Rose Bowl (but that also involved a stop to Disneyland...)

And I don't know if they're really "vacations," but I've also been enjoying taking trips either to Michigan or other places to see the Wolverines play (meaning football).
