Your favorite restaurants in BW/Epcot Areas

We waited an hour past our ADR time to be seated. The entire lobby of the BC was full of groups just like us. The hostess just kept telling everyone that they were in the middle of a "turn over" and that we'd be seated shortly. Suddenly almost all of the pagers seemed to go off and once and they attempted to seat everyone.

We sucked the wait up and were just ready to eat at that point but the buffet was horrid. The hot foods were cold, the cold items were warm, the crab legs were stringy and stuck to the shells (we got them multiple times and they were all like that), there were very few non seafood items, the only carved meat was a horribly fatty and tough steak, the sides were just gross (mushy corn, flavorless potatoes, overcooked pasta), there were empty spots on the buffet the entire time. We also had an overwhelmed and inattentive server that we had to chase down to get drink refills. The only good part of the meal was dessert.

We were utterly disappointed to say the least. I hope it was just an off night for them and we've not totally written them off but it will be a while before we give them another try.

Wow! I can see why you hated it. Sounds like an awful experience. I'll have to read more than one positive review on Cape May's clambake now in order to put it on the list.

That was an off night for them ..we have eaten there every trip for the past few years and never once encountered something like that

OUr experience was very similar as the previous poster. We were less than thrilled with our visit to Cape May. Long delay and very average food (and that was being kind).

Either we were there the same night or they had another off night. :lmao:

My favorite Epcot/BW area restaurants are (not in order)

Coral Reef
Tutto Italia
Teppan Edo
Biergarten
Captains Grill (YC)

I excluded any signature restaurants and any not on the DDP.

Cape May Cam Bake reviews are usually split. I just ate there for the first time in October & it was WONDERFUL! I will definitely be going back there again. But I had read some negative reviews before I went as well. All of the food was hot & plentiful, and there was such a wide variety of foods to pick from. We were seated right on time & our server was very attentive.

I would defintely choose FF over YS. I know we are in the minority here on the DIS but after 3 attempts, we will not return to YS. It is a beautiful restaurant, with great service, but we were very disappointed in the food.
Everyone has there own tastes, so go with what looks good to you.
