Everyone has favorites for whatever reason. So here's your chance to "sell" your favorite resort to fellow Dis'ers who are planning their trips. Reasons could be theming, price, location, ammenities whatever!

I honestly have enjoyed each and every resort I've stayed at (CBR, POFQ, WL, Swan, FW). BUt I think the Yacht and Beach club are my favorites...at least I plan to stay there on our next trip. The reasons are:

Stormalong Bay. It's the most awesome "pool" ever!

Beaches and Creme. The ice-cream and burgers are to die for!

International gateway. Nothing beats having a less crowded "secret" entrance to Epcot.

The view of Illuminations.

Waterfront view, and use of watercraft.

Proximity to BW and ability to just take boat to MGM.

Beautiful romantic decor.

Cape May's clambake!

CSR!! I love it so much I made a website below.

I love the sw theme

the beautiful landscaping

the Dig Site

the Pepper Market

the courtyard and fountains of the casitas

not sharing buses with other resorts

the great CM's

I've only stayed at the CBR, CSR and the WL and out of those I loved the WL. I love the theming of this hotel, but I also love the pool at t he CSR. That too was a great resort but it was very spread out.

Pre DVC I would have said the Poly. I love the look and feel of it and being on the monorail and so close to Magic Kingdom. That all changed when we bought into DVC - now my favorite is our Boardwalk home!

I love being able to walk to Epcot or MGM.

So many great places to eat between Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club and Epcot.

The community center.

Two nice pools.

Just walking and people watching on the boardwalk.

Best of all I have a one bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer/dryer and jacuzzi tub.

It truly is our home away from home!

Love so many of the resorts but considering what a huge value it was, AKL!

Animals are an attraction

Zero entry pool

Mara and Boma restaurants

Whole theming and atmosphere here is so relaxing and beautiful - a true deluxe property!! Rooms are beautiful, balconies are large, so much to do at this resort. And at the time, it was Aug code for $119/night!! And was upgraded to pool view - just gorgeous!! I'm not sure you can book the Embassy Suites on I-4 for this price, yet alone one of the nicest deluxe WDW properties. Unbelievable!!!

Though we are now DCV members with home at BW, I loved Dixie Landings (Port Orleans). The theming was magnificent, the southern mansions were beautiful, the river flowed quietly by, just so peaceful. The food court was always well staffed and the selections and portions were perfect. Though we had to bus to everywhere, the stops were well spaced. Rarely did we have to wait long. The main pool with the water slide was neat, one night we got back from the parks at midnight and went swimming with the kids, and the quiet pools are delightful as well. We always enjoyed the mix of people, too. I think this is typical of the moderately priced resorts. We do love our BWV's and wouldn't trade them for anything....proximity to MGM and EPCOT, ESPN club, outdoor entertainment and a festive atmosphere, but to compare the two is like comparing apples to oranges..... ::MickeyMo

Oh this is a tough question for me.

I love staying at the CR for the monorail and walk to MK and the views and restaurants and the price is right compared to other monorail resorts.

I'd love to stay at the GF more but it's more expensive and you cannot walk to MK.

I'm a DVC member and of those resorts, I love BWV the best. I love it's location and the rooms. But I still prefer staying at the monorail resorts so my dream is to have a DVC on the monorail!!

Well,we'd like to put our vote in for Old Key West. It's so relaxing, fun to walk around, and not too many children all over the place, like at the All-Star resorts. The cast members are very friendly there, and we love to take the boat from OKW to Downtown Disney. We'll be staying there on our next trip, can't wait....... :Pinkbounc
Kirsten in snowy Nova Scotia :cold:

Another vote for OKW. We have stayed at many of the resorts - luxury, moderate and value and have enjoyed most of them. OKW has been my "home" resort for over 12 years and we enjoy every moment of the time we spend there. We truly feel at home when we are there and everyone is extremely courteous and helpful. We enjoy the quiet pools (especially the hot tubs! ), the homey feeling when eating at Olivia's, sitting in Papa's Den while waiting for a bus or to check in, walking around the resort and just enjoying the glorious scenery and knowing that we will be enjoying it - hopefully!! - for years to come. I just love it!

Whew, I am glad to see someone picked OKW as their "favorite" resort. We are going on our FIRST trip to Disney in June and are staying there. I was beginning to worry that it didnt' stack up to the other resorts. Thanks so much beccasmom and abba98 for putting my fears to rest!! :cheer2:

Wish I had a countdown thingie to put in here.......it would say:

113 days til this newbie and her family invade Disneyworld!!

OMG I think I went blind from counting off the days in my teeny weeny checkbook calender!! :cool1:

The Polynesian is my all time favorite!!

-The best, most convenient transportation
-Love the laid-back south pacific theme
-Great restaurants- Kona & Ohana, clean quick service food area at Capt. Cooks
-Super friendly CM's
-Big rooms w/great views- even w/garden view w/could see space mt and the ewp
-Great shops
-So close to the MK- I love being able to hear the train whistle from my balcony :teeth:

-Steph

Port Orleans French Quarter.

Many reasons but a few would be...the great water slide and pool area, the food court and the great theme to the place. Makes you forget and relax. Perfect vacation spot.

GF is our favorite

- One the way to MK first stop on the monorail, on the way back first stop on the ferry

- Great areas to watch wishes and the EWP

- beautiful resort

- all the kids activities are held there

- relaxing

- helpful CMs

When we arrive (like so many others who have posted here about their "favorite" resort) we just feel like we're home

Beach Club - although I also love GF, Swan & Dolphin.

Theme - I love the Light, Airy Brightness. I find it comforting & soothing.

Location - I just love the Epcot area. Being able to stroll in & out of International Gateway to enjoy Epcot without the front gate crowds - makes it feel like my own, exclusive Park in a way. I love all the dining options within such a short distance. Waking up in the morning & strolling around Crescent Lake with my coffee, over to the BW Bakery is such a delightful way to start the day. And ending the day with a viewing of Illuminations just across the bridge, no crowds to fight.

Stormalong Bay - The exhiliration of the Shipwreck Slide, the Lazy River, playing in the sinking sands, swirling in the whirlpool, relaxing & working out the kinks in one of the hot tubs....How can it get any better than that?

Transportation - I love walking to & from Epcot & MGM. I like the Friendship Launch also, but generally find myself just soaking in the sights on the stroll, unless my feet just can't take another step. I have to admit, more often that not, I walk thru Epcot to take the monorail to MK. Again, I enjoy the atmosphere so much, that the Journey is half the fun for me.

Cast Members - I have had nothing but positive experiences with the CMs here, always ready to do whatever they can to make your stay Magical.

Beaches & Cream - Love the No Way Jose for a night time snack!

That's why I love the Beach Club.

Leota - what an awesome review. Made me even more excited about our upcoming trip. I have a tie - Poly and BC, oh and WL too and FW... Guess I gotta stop there :teeth:

Don't keep counting the days by hand go to daisypath.com and make your own countdown ticker! There are other sites that do it but that's where I got mine from. I think you can build a clountdown clock in this forum too, from the techncial pages I think someone said but I just brought mine along from another forum :sunny:

Enjoy your trip - you'll love it

RJ

CSR - I love the themeing, the more adult atmosphere, and walking :rotfl: :rotfl: around the lake in the evening. It is also the only WDW resort where I have been upgraded! Gail
