Wanting to make a pasta primavera recipe this weekend.

What's your favorite pasta recipe?

One I made up myself.

Any type of pasta
Olive oil
Fresh tomatoes
Lemon/pepper seasoning
Feta cheese

Cut tomatoes into wedges and put on a lines baking tray. Pour olive oil over and throw on lemon/pepper seasoning to taste. Bake.
Cook pasta.
Add tomatoes to cooked pasta. Throw on diced feta cheese, mix. Eat.

That's a pretty long list in this house. On regular rotation:

Fettuccine Alfredo
Linguine and Clams (white)
Baked Shrimp and Artichoke Scampi
Fish Sauce
Parma Rosa
Spaghetti
Chicken Scampi/Parm/Piccata-all served over pasta
Baked Penne
Ravioli w/sauce, ricotta and spinach
Pasta w/veggies, garlic and Parm

Just yesterday I tried a new-to-me recipe: sauteed garlic in butter and olive oil, added mushrooms, cannellini beans, salt, pepper, and basil, wilted some spinach in it, and tossed it with orecchiette. (The mushrooms were a sub for chopped tomatoes.) I forgot to top it with shredded parm like the recipe called for but wow, it turned out really well.

Darn it. Now I want linguine and clams!

One of my favorite veggie/pasta dishes is "Broccoli & Macaroni". This was something my great grandmother (and my dad) always made, along with a broccoli frittata, on Fridays for dinner, since they were always meatless. She would cook the broccoli in salted water, and then scoop it out, and set it to the side, then break up some spaghetti and cook it in the same water the broccoli was cooked in. Meanwhile, while the spaghetti is cooking, mince some garlic, and sauté lightly in some EVOO (and I like some butter, too), then I toss in the broccoli and give that a stir around. Drain the past, but save back about a cup of the pasta water in with the spaghetti, and then mix all that together with the broccoli/garlic, and some grated Romano or Parmesan cheese. Top with additional cheese when serving. M

Sounds like the very popular cavatelli and broccoli (which is what we are having for dinner tonight).

Saute garlic, halved grape tomatoes, and fresh spinach. Mix with cooked spaghetti or linguine. Top with pecorino romano cheese. Good on its own, or use as a base for sauteed shrimp or chicken breasts.

When I'm feeling like I particularly need a cheat meal, I'll cut up bacon into small pieces and pan fry it until almost done. Then I'll add in mushrooms. Once the bacon and the mushrooms are done, I'll add cooked linguine, a touch of butter and toss it all together with finely grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese.
I also love my homemade alfredo (also terrible for you, of course--butter/cream/parm/fresh minced garlic) and rigatoni with a super simple meat sauce (lean ground beef browned in a little olive oil and lots of garlic, then add crushed tomatoes, oregano, parsley, salt & pepper, crushed red pepper, more garlic).

I don't like pasta but dd is a pasta fiend. I make a spinach lemon walnut pesto that she loves. It's very easy and is great on a piece of fish as well as pasta, chicken, etc.
