What is your favorite extinct attraction at WDW? What did you love about it?

My ex husband absolutely loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I did too, but he loved it to the point of crying when we heard the news that it was closing! (And he was 25 at the time.)

I miss Horizons, though I realize that it was outdated. And I realize, too, that this isn't to say that what's replaced these attractions aren't awesome in their own right, but we can still miss them, right? What was that ride that was where Test Track is now? You road in a blue car and it went outside the building at the end?

Let's hear your opinions both of the extinct attractions- or some of the attractions that have been tinkered with, maybe not gone totally- and the changes that have been made.. Yes, Walt was all about progress and it wonderful. I just thought we could talk about some of our old favorites - maybe they remind us of our honeymoons or our childhoods. That's one reason I love that Pirates is still around!

I miss "Honey I shrunk the Audience" -- it was so much fun --- and the original Journey Into Imagination.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Minnie/Mickeys Houses. :)

I am sad the Honey I Shrunk the Audience has gone it was always my favourite

I think that one was getting dated too. The movies are old now. They did bring back the Micheal Jackson show Captain Eo there, though, right? I remember when that originally played, but not sure if that was at MK or EPCOT.

I miss Horizons. It was my absolutely favorite ride.

Mine too. Didn't it have the family from Carousel of Progress? And the theme song talked about your dreams coming true! Everybody remembers the orange smell at the end. :)

Dinosaur!

oh wait, did I misunderstand the question?

Definitely Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and although technically not a ride, I miss the cable cars from Tomorrowland to Fantasy Land.

Oh that would make sense. So the new mine ride is over there now? I haven't been for 5 years... :confused3

Not sure about the exact location/footprint of where Minnie/Mickey's houses once were, but Fantasyland and Storybook circus take up quite a bit of space now.
