I am leaving in 35 days! woohoo!

And am really looking forward to seeing cinderellabration (sp?)

Last time I went, I was blown away by Fantasmic! :wizard:

What is your personal favorite?

I'm stating that the following is MY opinon.
But I am a BIG fan of Disney World stage and fireworks events (I LOVE them, in general.)

But, Cinderellabration is a tiny, very minor piffle.

The "castle shows" in general, are the simplest and lowest-budget shows on property (hence, they are just performed to those who stand in the small area in front of the castle.)

The "real" Cinderellabration (from Tokyo Disneyland) is a major production along the lines of Fantasmic! But the version they "broght over" to WDW is a very scaled-back "snippet" of the original show.

There is absolutely NO story line in Cinderellabration at MK.

The princesses (and their respective princes) are simply INTRODUCED, one at a time. There are some one-minute (or so) group dance routines and some equally brief musical selections played and then a small "spray"of daytime fireworks are ignited...
show OVER.

I tell you this for two reasons.

1. Its better to EXPECT a LITTLE and be pleasantly surprised than to EXPECT a BIG show and be disappointed. (Walt Disney always said to "Under-promise and Over-deliver.")

2. I have never been so shocked at any HEAVILY-PROMOTED Disney show and seen such a shockingly weak program.

Its certainly NOT the performers. They do a fine job.
It is the very weak and pared-down (watered down?) MATERIAL.

No story, no humor, no villains, very little music, very little SHOW.

This is the only "attraction" brought in for the 50th Celebration that will be "gone" at the end of the Celebration.

Bring back the former castle show, please.

As to the other shows?

Festival of the Lion King (DAK)
Wishes (MK)
Spectromagic Parade (MK)
Fantasmic! (MGM)
IllumiNations (Epcot)
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (DAK)

You should see them ALL (including Cinderellabration)...
Judge for yourself.
But I really like those in the final list above as my favorites.

oh ok.

I love the vilains. Too bad.

I thought cinderellabration was at night.

guess I was wrong

Festival of the Lion King is definitely my favorite. I also love Philharmagic.

I don't like most shows...but I think Philharmagic is great

I love Festival of the Lion King. Definately my favorite.

Wishes is a close second.

Both of these shows definately put me in the "Disney Zone".

It's seasonal only, but I LOVE the special Wishes they do for Halloween. All of the villains :maleficen :hmghost: have 'taken over' the magic kingdom to include Wishes. It's very cool!

I'm also not a big fan of the shows, but I love-love-LOVE Philharmagic!! :mickeyjum :donald:

Muppets 3-D...we are HUGE muppets fans at our house, and I have fond memories of going to see the Muppet Movie the day Hurricane David landed in 1979. School didn't meet, and my dad rear-ended someone on the way to the theater! LOL It was a red-letter day at our house (for a lowly 9yo). :thumbsup2 My kiddos (14 and 12) were brought up on Sesame Street, so Muppets 3-D was a favorite for us!

Lights, Motors, Action!...we truly enjoyed this! I think what was so enjoyable to us was that we didn't know this attraction was there (I stayed far away from the Disboards before we went cause I knew I would stress) so it was a surprise! We just followed the masses, and there it was! Also, I got to see it through the eyes of my 12yods! What fun!!

Festival of the Lion King and Indiana Jones (I'd heard they may close this, no idea if they did or not).

"Evening shows": Fantasmic, hands down family fave. Even with sceptical spouse.

"Theater shows": Festival of the Lion King at AK. Spouse was disappointed at Beauty and the Beast at MGM; Belle was great, Gaston was terrible.

"3-D shows": A draw between It's Tough to Be a Bug (AK) and Philharmagic (MK)

"Stunt shows": Grownups preferred Indy; kids liked Lights Motors Action.

Yes, this show depends on WHICH CAST MEMBERS are performing the key roles (Belle and Gaston). There are several and they can be seen in various "combinations". We always go, hoping to see a great "version" of this show... all due to the "luck of our timing" as to which cast we see.

Also, on MOST days and most shows, the PRE-show is SPECATULAR... "Four for a Dollar" is an a'cappella quartet that always
'brings down the house". Be in your seat by 15 minutes before showtime to make sure you see this group.

I love Illuminations. I think its the best. I also Love love love Mickeys Philharmagic! :) its perfect! :)
