I took his words to mean the glam-y "metal" look, as opposed to the earlier look and sounds like the NY Dolls & Sweet.

Anne

exactly, that is why you didn't see those 70's bands there, including Bowie.

Even though I know people from Cinderella and Britny Fox, my favorite was probably Poison.
What was yours?

Hey Papa.... My friends and i were really big Britny Fox Fans....Gotta love that Dizzy Dean.... We used to see them at the Empire all the time... (circa 1988~90) I remember how excited everyone was when they were signed and had that album signing at Tower Records down on South Street.

Boy those were the days...i think i still have my cassette demo with America on it. i know i have a framed print with everyone's signature and their pics and a Johnny Dee Drumstick. (ok somewhere in my house.)

Of course back then i could only go to the Sunday night shows...
Pretty much every Sunday night was spent inside the club or hanging out in the parking lot.

I did get to meet Poison once at a record store in Cinnaminson. (yeah there was a reason they needed make-up) I had Ricky sign my arm and i can remember covering it with saran wrap for showers so it didn't come off.

I had the Sirius Hair Band channel on earlier. :)

Yup ...Channel 23 - Hair Nation :thumbsup2

Def Leopard without a doubt!!!!

We met Sebastian Bach and he was a pain!

I was working for Britny Fox when they broke up. I saw it happen. Yes, there was a "saw" to that mess. We were in the Holiday Inn on Amwell (?) in Providence, it was April 17, 1990. And "poof" that tour was done. Well, OK then. It would ahve been my second tour with them, instead it became one night and we were done. I went to work for the Hooters (again!) the next day. :)

One of those guys--either Michael or Billy IIR--was playing with Mike Lecompt for awhile around Philly. Not sure if he still is though.

I never heard of any of those poeple.

Okay ... I love Poison just because of the lead singer. But no Bon Jovi? For me, Jon & boys are ALWAYS what I think of first.

Although... I'm glad they've aged well and have normal 40-yr.old guy hair today!

I'm also glad Dee Snyder cut no longer had hair like he had in Quiet Riot!

Forgot to ask ... Sebastian Bach of Skid Row ... I'm drawing a mental blank. Think his father was somebody in a really big rock band. Can't remember who. My DH and I JUST had this Skid Row conversation earlier this week. My inability to think of who Sebastian Bach's father might have been has been KILLING ME FOR DAYS.

Please ... anyone ... put us our of misery!

I thought his father was an artist? I think one of his brothers is a professional hockey player, but not sure. I saw Bas here in Orlando not too long ago at some show, but I can't recall which one. He's kind of hard to miss! :rotfl:

Firehouse- but only because of DH's and my song, Love of a Lifetime. It is cheesy, I know, but that song was popular right about the time we got engaged at the end of 1990, and it summed up our relationship perfectly. DH burned me an awesome 80's/90's mix tape (mix CD??) for my birthday last year, and he included our song- I actually cry every time I play it.

We used to follow Motley Crue around from show to show, lol. I've always had a thing for drummers, so Tommy Lee is still a favorite of mine. I love everyone on the list though, so that was a tough one! And wow, there are more Faster Pussycat fans out there...my dh had never heard of them before he met me!
