Hey all!

Since I'm in full-on planning mode, I'm starting to decide what I absolutely have to see/do at DL, and what's the "Meh, I could do w/out that," stuff.

So, I'm just wondering:

What's your favorite "land" in DL, and why? Like, name a big thing, like a cool ride, and then, maybe a little lesser-known thing about the land that's a can't miss!

This would be such a help, and just fun to read!

Thx,
Eeyore76 :upsidedow

Adventure land AT NIGHT:) I especially like the Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room waiting area... again, at night! I think I could hang in the Tiki Room waiting area on a warm night for several hours while eating Dole floats;)

I think it is all the tiki torches that make me happy, lol!

That sounds heavenly.

Okay...so definitely checking out the Tiki Room/Adventureland at night! :thumbsup2

Yep, Adventureland.I love it all there. The food , the NOS, the rides. I do love it at night. My favorite ride is the HM, Dfi's fav. ride is POTC. We both love Indy. And for a nice sit down dinner for us it Cafe Orleans. I think its better than BB only because it is cheaper and I think the food tastes better. but thats me. I do love the ambiance of BB, but to spendy for me. It seems to me Adventure land has so much packed into it. There is so much to see and do, we spend almost all of our time there. We will go to other lands but always end up back there. Our tradition is to do SM, and then race back to do the HM as our last ride of the night. Then we go to the market house and get our free coffee for the ride home.(dont forget your receipt!)
Good luck planning you are going to have a blast!

Adventure Land is my favorite! It has my two favorite rides, Pirates and Indy, it has my favorite snack, the skewers at Bengal BBQ, and I agree that it's neat looking at night with the tiki torches, the lights in the trees and the tribal music playing. Plus, it's a whole new experience to ride the Jungle Cruise at night.:thumbsup2

My boys' favorite land is Tomorrow Land! They could stay there all day, everyday, going from one attraction to the next, and doing it over and over and over again!:yay: (It's my second favorite.)

Forgive my ignorance - but free coffee? Where, when, and how do you get this? Thanks for the help!

P.S. I can't vote on a favorite land/attraction as I haven't been in a while - I'm looking forward to my return.

Gonna have to say Adventureland!!! I love love love Pirates, Indi and Jungle cruise. And New Orleans Square always takes me to another place. I know I am on vacation when I walk through New Orleans Square.

I agree. Each day we were in DL, we always ended up in Adventureland for the longest periods of time. I think we visited the Tiki room each night before we left for the hotel!

At the market house on Main street, when you buy a cup of coffee, save your receipt and later when you want another cup o' joe, just go back and show them your receipt and you will get a free cup. you can do is as often as you like. Its pretty cool. :cool1:

Another vote for Adventure land, love Indy, Jungle cruise and Bengal BBQ plus everything in NOS.

My favorite WDW ride is Space Mountain and since I hear the Dl one is much better I will have to say Tomorrowland but I can confirm that next week when I finally get to ride.

My favorite land is Fantasyland! I love the castle! I love all the rides. I love Storybook Land boats! I love the music they play! Everything! :lovestruc

I asked DBF right now and he said... "Uhh.. All of them!!!" :rotfl:

For sure Tomorrowland. It was a lot of fun. Space, Star Tours, Buzz, and now the Subs.

I also thought Adventureland was pretty cool at night. We did Indiana Jones and Tiki Room right before close on our last day. :-(.

New Orleans is my favorite area. Has 2 of my very favorite rides (HM and POTC). I love the atmosphere, the music, the smells of food! :)

since i have little ones it's got to be fantasland. just the look on the kids faces when they see dumbo or "captain hook" yeah my son doesn't understand peter pan cause its all about the pirate and captain hook.

That's so cute! My DH and I don't have kids yet, but we're totally kids at heart. One of the things we're most looking forward to is "kid-watching" at DL. We love seeing kids all excited!

Oh I have to agree with you. I love New Orleans Square. I love to watch the people go by and the shops are fun shops. Last year when we were there I sat on the cement planters in the walkway and the wandering pirates sat with me and visited it was great fun. I would do it everytime if I could. The rest of the family eventually joined me until Jack Sparrow came out and my youngest daughter and niece deserted me, to chase him down.

Not sure if this is a "land," but Main Street is definitely my favorite.

My favorite ride is actually not there right now (Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln), but I love walking through Main Street upon entering the park...it just reminds me of my childhood.

There is also something special about watching the Parade of Dreams and looking at the Partner's Statute. :lovestruc

What happened to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln? Is it gone? I remember this from when I was a kid and was looking forward to finding it again when we go next month. We missed it the last time we were there.

This is tough but I think my favorite is FantasyLand. It has all the quintessential Disney early childhood favorites and its a place the whole family can share together regardless of size.
