Your Experience With The New Monorail Schedule

So if I am reading this correctly- does this mean that the monorail from the TTC to Mk does not start running until one hour before the park opens? We are doing a youth program and have to be at the park for the class at 8:00 on a day when the park opens at 9:00. If we are staying offsite and driving how can we get to MK by 8 if the monorail doesnt open till 8?

Just an FYI for those traveling this upcoming weekend (i.e. Fourth of July). Temporary monorail hours:

July 3 and 4 Hours

Express Beam: 7:30am to 2am
Resort Beam: 7am to 3am
Epcot Beam 8am to 2:30am

July 5 Hours

Express Beam: 8:30am to 11:30pm
Resort Beam: 7am to midnight
Epcot Beam: 8am to 11pm

I had heard there were additional buses going between Poly, GF, and MK in the mornings. Do we know what times they start?
Whatever time the monoraik would have started from the resorts.

Half hour. Eight thirty. You'll take a bus from the TTC to the MK. Or the ferry.

Does anyone know when the monorail will be back to normal hours? I'm staying at CR in September, and want to ensure we will be able to use the monorail frequently.

You can't ensure that unless you're willing to adjust your usage to the monorail's schedule. Copied again from the WDWinfo.com update:
This schedule will be in place for a few months, but no specific end date has been set.

it is a big confusing hassle with the monrails hours..

on a normal day they will start running at 9am

early entry you bus it if there is traffic as we were told many of times you will just have to wait...hope to make some part of early entry.

going to magic kingdom is now more of a pain..you park at ttc and either bus or boat it over .. nothing is easy

they make it harder for you to try to make early hours at magic kingdom..

with this new hours....I would not stay at a monorail hotel. for all the money you spend and have to wait till the park opens and then grab the monorail over.... that is just my opinion......

Does the boat from Wilderness Lodge start early enough for the early morning adrs at crystal palace?

and to piggyback on that..... (I've asked on multiple threads and no one seems to know,) does the WL boat now also stop at the CR/BLT since there's no monorail service early?

Thanks :thumbsup2

Are they still running extra buses in the morning to Magic Kingdom and Epcot from the monorail resorts? Is the bus or boat the best option to get to the Magic Kingdom for EMH?

There is a separate boat to CR from WL. The boat launch will have a sign that lets you know which colored flag to look for on the boat.

Thank you. I was aware of that :) My question was whether or not this boat then goes on to MK since the monorail won't be running its normal hours. In essence, I'm asking...to go from the CR/BLT to the MK, are your only options walking and bus, or is there a boat as well? Thanks so much!!

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood your question. I thought you were trying to get from WL to CR. not sure if a boat route has been added at CR but I don't think it would be needed. By the time you walk to the boat dock, wait for a boat, load the boat, take the boat ride to MK, and get off the boat at MK, it would be much longer than just walking to MK. Plus, if it is coming from WL/FW, it would probably be full anyways.

The great thing about CR is the walking option. When I heard of the monorail schedule change, I considered moving to CR from GF. I ultimately decided to stay put, but I wish we could walk to MK from GF.

Thanks so much!! And I apologize if my response sounded terse ;) I didn't mean to :) :)

You didn't sound terse. :goodvibes actually, I'm surprised we haven't gotten more information on the early morning boat/bus schedules from the monorail resorts. The schedule has been going for a few weeks now and I haven't heard much, either here on the DIS or elsewhere. We are leaving in 18 days and I'd really like to know! Anyone out there with some info??

Agreed :thumbsup2 I've asked on this thread, and the CR thread, and the July travelers thread and never received an answer. Fortunately for us, we're able to walk, but I'm wondering about the people who really don't have that as an option. I haven't heard anything about boats from the CR, so I'm guessing just busses? I also haven't really heard anything about convenience, frequency, etc... of the new schedules.

A lot of us are waiting on info regarding bus/boat schedules in the morning between GF and Poly, especially to MK and EP to make either park opening or EMH. Haven't heard much about it though.
