If you had no limit on funds, what would be your Dream Trip to DLR?
Where would you stay? How long? What options? What would you do while you were there? Any details that come to mind.

Let your imagination carry your thoughts.

I would have to stay that it would involve staying in the Dream Suite, if thats an option.

Honestly, staying at the GCV is a dream come true. :lovestruc I would stay longer than 5 nights though.

Since I'm dreaming...I would want a combo stay in the Dream Suite and VGC, dinners at Club 33, Napa Rose and Blue Bayou (waterside), watch Fantasmic from the Dream Suite balcony and throw in a Segway tour for a little extra fun.:rotfl:

My mom always said I had a "I Want List" a mile long. :rolleyes1

I would love to stay at the Dream Suite as well :cloud9: It would also involve dining at Napa Rose and doing all of the character meals :goodvibes I would also do the preferred seating for Fantasmic! As for how long? I'd probably live there forever, haha. Now...that would be life, lol :thumbsup2

If I had unlimited funds, even though I would want to stay a week, to make my experience totally magical I would pay Disney to let me stay just one or two nights with my closest friends & family and have the park to ourselves.
Night 1:

After park closing we would be allowed to wear our Pjs and slippers all night as we ride the carousel in Fantasyland, Space mountain, Indy, and Big Thunder or any ride as many times as we could handle, and go back to chill in the "House of the Future" in Tomorrowland where we can pick a cookie recipe to bake from the counter cookbook and eat them as we play Peter Pan in the boys bedroom, and sing Karaoke in the entertainment area. Then head to Main Street where there would be a bed placed in front and facing the castle so we can lay there and stare at the beauty, and turn over and face down Main Street. It would be so relaxing just laying there, listening to the music and seeing the twinkling lights.

In the morning, be treated to a nice all we could eat breakfast at the Riverbelle Terrace and eat all the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes and sausages we could consume.

Night 2:

We would once again have the entire park to ourselves, and our sleeping destination would be on little matresses in the Jungle Cruise boats, where we could lay there and feel like we are drifting down the river as we hear the birds chirping around us and water falls splashing. But our nightly activities would be to have a late dinner in the Haunted Mansion in the dining room area, where we would get ball room dance lessons so we could dine and dance with the ghosts. We would then go to the Golden Horse shoe for a Laughing Stock show, and a game of poker. Then have a midnight picnic at Poohs Corner under the stars on a blanket where we nibble on tiger tales, caramel apples, and chocolate covered strawberries.

I realized last night that I am starting to plan our dream trip, a realistic one of course, but a dream none the less.

In December of 2011, Hanukkah, Chloe's bday, and Christmas (Santa doesn't care that we are Jewish) all overlap so I am starting to think about a BIG trip to WDW splitting our time within our home resort- SSR. :cloud9: We would arrive Friday Dec 16, 2011 staying 7 nights in a one bedroom villa and then moving to the THV for 5 nights with our friends. We would have 10 days park hoppers including the water park feature. We would do the dining plan for only half of the trip, not sure which part yet. DH will golf twice and I will get a spa treatment at the SSR. We will celebrate Chloe's bday at the place of her choosing- maybe even having a bday party in the villa. :cool1: We will finally make to FW to watch movies with Chip n Dale as well as enjoy a movie night in the SSR pool- they do this whole floating big screen thing.

I may need to add a night but at this rate, the trip will already cost over 300 points. :faint: pixiedust:

Okay, let's see...we are talking our ideal, dream trips to DLR, money is not an issue...This requires some careful thought!

First of all, my dream trip would take place during Christmastime. That's my favorite time to be at DLR anyway, so it has to be then. The trip would probably be for, I'd say, maybe 10 days. Some of it would be spent with friends and some of it would be spent all by myself - I need a perfect blend of 'together time' and 'alone time.'

Even though I love the PPH and DLH, I think in this case, I would opt to stay at the GCH because I love it there during the holidays and because of the close proximity to the parks - and it feels like a spurge. I would probably go with a concierge room for the treats, or a DTD-view room for the fireworks view. I would order one of those adorable mini-Christmas trees for my room from Vacation Planning.

I would schedule a different character breakfast meal for 5 days in a row, then double back and do a Goofy's dinner on the 6th day. I would also squeeze in other meals on other days at Carnation, Wine Country Trattoria, Storytellers, Rainforest Cafe, Naples, ESPN Zone, PCH Grill and Steakhouse 55.

I would spend a few days lounging at the hotel, by the pool, reading and people watching. I would spend the other days enjoying ALL the rides I love, improving my Toy Story Midway Mania score, plus the rides I normally skip over because we don't have enough time. I would look in ALL the shops/stores, I would take extensive, detailed photos of every little hidden nook or gem I could find (to post in our "Disney at Christmas" super thread!!). Every statue. Every topiary. Every window display. Every fountain. Every attraction/restaurant/shop sign. All the hotels. Every cute bathroom sign. I would thoroughly comb through ToonTown and A Bug's Land and snap pictures left and right. I would learn how to use my darn camera to at least get decent nighttime shots.

I would stop to take photos with every character I saw - some of which we usually skip over when the lines are too long. I would also use PhotoPass every day and get as many photos as possible out of that $59.95 I will pay for the CD.

I would also meet up with some DIS-ers along the way - whomever I could round up for the time I was there.

And then, at the end of it all, I would be very, very, very, very tired.:rotfl2:

I think mine would involve a week in the presidential suite or whatever the equivalent is at GHC... but after reading another poster's dream about the innoventions house... it would be kinda cool to have a night in there (to ourselves) with all the interactive everything!! I would also do every character meal, and have preferred seating for all the parades and shows, so I wouldn't have to wait for anything, and as long as I am dreaming, I'd like a front of the line pass that is good for the whole time we are there!!

:thumbsup2

I was going to say I'd rather to Halloween than Christmas until I read about the in room tree....now I can't decide...maybe both!

I fell in love with that tree when Aussietravellers posted pictures of it in the Disney at Christmas thread - the little ornaments/stuffed animals on it (especially Chip and Dale and their little faces!) are soooooo cute, and it comes in its own little box (because Disney knows that we collectors will want to take our trees home!). They also have a stocking you can get from Vacation Planning - it may come with the tree (not sure on that). I want both!

Dream Halloween trip:
5 days in the parks over Halloween.
Stay at GCH in conceirge room. (need 2 so we can bring grandma!)

Blue Bayou (with everyone) and Napa Rose (just me and DH)
Lots of pictures with lots of Characters
Ariel's Grotto for dinner
Storytellers for breakfast
Carnation Cafe for breakfast
Cafe Orleans (...man I'm doing a lot of eating!!)

I love this question, especially since we just came back from our trip and don't have another one planned until next year.:scared:

- 16 nights staying at the DL Hotel or the GC, concierge suite with a Park view
- 14 full days in the park during mid-May (covering both mine and my daughter's birthday)
- bring my best friend with me and my daughter
- do every character meal
- do the VIP tour
- Premium seating for Fantasmic and World of Colour
- buy absolutely everything we fancy instead of saying "nooo..... I'd better not" or "no - we've spent enough money on pins"
- indulge in room service for any meal we don't want to take at the park

This doesn't take into account anything that we couldn't arrange off the cuff. In other words, if my current lottery ticket is a winner, we are booking this trip tomorrow. And then book a second trip for later in the year to cover the World of Colour option.

Well simply put, when I get home, my dining room would look a lot different after my shopping spree through the China Closet.

I love the China Closet! They always have the best stuff in there - I think a lot of people bypass that store because they head straight for the Emporium. But it's a gem!

3Minnies1Mickey reminded me - I have to add in the Holiday tour to my Dream Trip as well!

Ohh a Dream Trip with unlimited funds... I dont think I have enough room here to post it all... but it would go something like this... Premium AP's for my family, my mom and my in-laws for life. (also to be good at WDW). I would take an immediate trip to WDW stay at Animal Kingdom Resort for 5 days... then take a Disney Cruise for 7 days to the Bahamas, come back and stay another 5 days at the Poly. Then fly to DL... stay 5 days at GCH, all with the best rooms- the biggest suites, etc. I would also get royalty treatment- for front line passes and no wait at any rest of our choice whenever we wanted to eat. I would also like to dress up for a few hours... and have 6 bodyguards all in suits following me around the park- so it would appear as if i was someone famous. LOL>
I would go to DL atleast once a month- staying at different hotels until I have tried them all. I would get the best rooms plus round the clock free private shuttles to the park whenever I wanted to go! (no 20 min wait LOL)

All my famly would be outfitted in a new Disney matching outfit everyday.
Also atleast once I would like to fly with Tink during the fireworks show.. Club 33 would be a must, my boat at POTC would stop right at the front water table at BB and let us out for lunch hehe... I would like for DH and me too dress up in the Mickey and Minnie costumes and greet kids for an hour or two. Sleeping inside the park and dinning with the ghosts in HM would be super cool too. Also would like to be in a parade, and I would love to help decorate the park at Christmas!

Wow, you guys came up with some wonderful ideas for a dream trip.
I've been to DL and WDW so many times, more than I can count or remember. And each time has been awesome. I've always wanted to stay in the Grand Calfornian but never could justify the rates they charge.
If I were filthy rich and could do anything I wanted, I think it would be great to get together a group of underprivileged kids, ones who have no chance of every going to DL, and be able to pay all their expenses to go. It would be so wonderful to see their eyes light up and hear their laughter.

That may be the best idea yet!:goodvibes And make sure they get to go to all the character meals!

Although, I would never want to "ruin the magic" :wizard:, I want to go backstage and see how things work. My dream trip would be all about the secret, hidden gems that no one else gets to see (or rarely sees). I would definitely be dining in Club 33, visiting Walt's apartment, staying in the Dream Suite, and maybe a trip up the freeway to the archives building! :cloud9:
