Your list looks pretty good!!!! It is about what I have on mine. The only thing I can think of (and I had to really think) that you might add to your list is $$ for extra activities at the resort, like the the water mice and the big family bike things and a roll of quarters for the arcade. Plus if you plan to rent a stroller each day or a locker you would need a little $$ for those things too.

Have fun!

We have pets, so we always budget in the cost of their boarding for while we're gone.
I also include any mailing of postcards (postage) or approximate shipping costs of souvineers I will ship home before leaving (we usually have a small box we send home which makes it magical again a couple days after we get back).
I am a scrapbooker, and love the Disney stickers and scrapbooking packs they have. Rather than including that in film developing or souvineers, it has it's own category and amount budgeted! :p

What about things you'll need to get ready for your trip, like any new shoes, clothes, getting a haircut, if you need to buy any new luggage, etc. -Steph

ITA! ::yes:: If you budget those pre-trip expenses early enough you can get really good sales.

I was buying disney shirts from the disney store at 3.99 a piece. kids got pants, turtle necks, p.j's from my store. I comb the internet for good deals for DH and I. I found luggage on sale for 75% off in October. Plan pre trip expenses early for really good deals. :jumping1:

My budget:

Resort
Tickets
Food
Supplies (bandaids, sunscreen, etc)
Clothing for the trip
Car service or repairs (we drive)
Souviners
Gifts
Postcards & stamps
Tolls
Gas
DTD

I normally over budget on MOST items above and should there be anything left put it towards extra:

Arcades (my kids normally save this for themselves)
Extra activities (horseback riding, mini golf)
Extra special meal (if we can agree on where)

I am sure I am missing something!!

Thank you all for your responses. Keep them coming!!! :sunny:

As far as extra activities and postcards & stamps, these fall under my souvenir budget. Everyone saves up for their own 'extras'. Stroller - I don't have children, but my sister will already knows that she is responsible for my neice's stroller.

Pet and House Sitter is free. My uncle is doing this for us because we helped him out with his medicine earlier this year.

I did have Pre-Trip Expenses on my Budget, but now I just pick up a few things whenever I'm out on errands or shopping trips. I don't have many things to buy anyhow.

I did forget about gas to and from the airport though! This is major too because we have to drive over an hour and a half to get there!!! Thank you!!!

I'm going under the assumption that you will be taking the Disney Shuttle from the airport? If not you need to work in the cost of transportation to/from the airport. I also pad our budget a bit. I'm a shopper and love to do it :)

This would go under your souvenier heading I suppose, but if you're interested in getting pictures on the rides that's something to think about too.

Wow! Good point!! I don't normally do the pics but thought this year, I would of one park (suggestions?). It will go under my portion of souvenirs, not DS8's. I would be the one framing it, hanging it, and would be for all 4 of us to refelect upon.

Now, I have to do a little re-working. I know it's not alot and I have room to work with on the $$$ front, but never can tell what can happen to blow your budget.

Just thought about it......medical emergency.

There was a post or two on here about an emergency. Just to be safe, include that. Can't believe it just came to me, now I have alot of reworking of budget to do.

If you don;t need it by last day....Shop, shop, shop, OR come home with extra money. Should it be the extra money coming home with, think about was there that 1 SPECIAL thing I or somene else wanted? Search online, see if you can find it and get it!!

Good idea! I may add that to my budget. Thanks! :goodvibes

I've budgeted a few bucks for cab fare in the event we're really tired or strapped for time and want to get somewhere quickly and easily. From what I've read a one way trip from one end of the kingdom to the other should be around $10.00. Plan on taking "authorized" cabs only though, CM's can help with that.

We didn't create a budget before leaving...but we certainly were in "lets not spend more than we need to mode". After our last trip we figured out that we spent way too much on food and drink....so, while we felt like cheap skates we brought cans of tuna, cold cuts and bread. To be honest after the 5th hamberger I was pretty greatfull for something as simple as tuna!!! As for the drink we brought along some "spirts" to sip by the pool (in our refillable mugs of course).
