We (two adults, an 11 year old, and a 4 year old) will be spending 8 days in May 2019 at Disney World. We have already booked Animal Kingdom Lodge studio villas the first three nights of the trip, and Wilderness Lodge (BRV) for the last two nights. Which deluxe villas would you book for the days in the middle? We will be spending ALL of our time at the resorts. We want a laid back visit! Would love some input from those of you who have stayed in the deluxe studio villas!

My favorite resort is Beach Club, particulary club level. There are other great ones, though, including AKL, BWI & GF. But Beach Club club level with its lovely rooms & Stormalong Bay access is my favorite.

The only villa I've stayed at was a Polynesian Villa, and we really liked it. You posted your query on the resorts board, btw- so if you really only want answers for villas, you might want to post on the DVC board.

I agree with pp and would try Saratoga springs or Old Key West. The proximity to Disney Springs is great and will be a nice change of pace from the rest of your resorts that are relying more on resort-based activities.

I would do BC. The pool is so much fun and you can walk to mini-golf and over to the Boardwalk for entertainment in the evenings. Plus there are so many great restaurants within walking distance from the resort.

I think I would say POR/POFQ. You can boat to Disney Springs and also walk to The other resort. You could switch up the pools, see Yehaw Bob,food courts. I know POFQ does the movie night outside, if they aligns with your days, and POR I’m sure does the same. I think between the 2 resorts, which have beautiful grounds to walk, you would have a lot of variety for the 3 days.

My choices would be BCV and Poly! You will LOVE Stormalong Bay at Beach Club and SO convenient to Epcot and HS! Such an AWESOME pool! If you can't get BCV, BWV is equally as convenient; we found BW clown pool to be very nice; some say they are "afraid" of the clown, although when we were at the BW clown pool, there certainly seemed to be a lot of kids!
Poly would be awesome for your family as well..2 pool choices, on monorail, convenient to Transportation Center, easy walk if staying in Tokeleau and the convenience of the two bathrooms if you are doing a studio is wonderful! ENJOY your vaca whatever you decide!:yay:

We love the BC (for the pool) and BWV is our favorite, but as others have said, we'd have a tough time staying there without going to EPCOT. I agree with SSR, its a nice resort and it gives you the option to take advantage of DS restaurants and stores.

I would add nights to AKLV--the more time there, the better in my opinion. Also, they have 2 fitness centers and lots of non-park activities--nighttime safaris, etc. No matter you decide, you'll have a great time!

Beach Club!! The pool is so much fun, you can walk to mini golf, walk around the Boardwalk and enjoy many restaurants around that area that you can walk to.

We have submitted our request to book our studio in the following order (BCV, Poly, CCV, and BLT). The most positive feedback seemed to all be from Beach Club, so fingers crossed we luck up and secure a reservation here. There is a chance none of these will be available for our requested dates, but from what everyone has stated it seems we can’t really go wrong with the villas at Disney.

I would go for a change of pace and pick a Fort Wilderness cabin with a golf cart. There's so much to do there, you won't want to leave!

Beach Club or Boardwalk came to mind first. Great pools and tons of food options in walking distance at the different resorts around. Also an easy walk to DHS where you can hop on a resort bus if you are dining at another resort.

I think SSR is another good option to be walking distance to Disney Springs for all the shopping and dining there. From Disney Springs, you can easily hop on a boat to OKW, POR, or POFQ to check out those resorts. In fact, the boat launch is off the walking path between SSR and Disney Springs Marketplace area, so its really convenient.

Beach club was not available. However, we can choose from Poly standard view, Copper Creek (leaning towards this one), or Bay Lake Tower lake view studios for our dates. It looks like the balcony at Copper Creek can be really tiny on some rooms. We are making this a “resort only” trip, so we will be spending a lot of time on the balcony. Anyone stayed at Copper Creek or toured recently who can chime in on the balcony?
