Your Biggest Pet Peeves Revealed!

My single biggest pet peeve is the sound of people chewing - and I really hate it when they have a quiet moment in a movie and all you can hear are the people chewing in the scene. I do not understand why directors think it is interesting to hear other people chewing! YUCCKKK

PS - my dh thinks I leave the TV during dinner because I am too lazy to turn it off, but I really leave it on for the background noise!

OMG, I thought it was just me!

Oh, and hair on soap....you never know exactly where it's from.... :rotfl:

1) Smokers who throw their cigarette butts out of their car windows, or drop them on the ground before they enter a building :smokin: THIS IS LITTERING!!

2) People who use the words "like" or "you know" 10,000 times in a conversation. I tend to ignore what they are actually saying and start counting the number of times these words are used. I like hate it, you know.

I use "like" and "ya know" ALL the time in conversations! It's just like a habit of mine! Ya know? I need to stop that!!

Space invaders make me crazy!!! When I'm in line and I can feel the person behind me breathing down my neck :furious: :furious:

I also have an intense hatred for litterbugs.

I cannot stand people who spit on the sidewalk or out the window of a car. When I see this, it makes me want to smear their face in it!!!! Disgusting!
It's doubly gross when you are in a wheelchair. What's on the ground ends up on your hands. I can handle dirt any day of the week, but when I see someone spit, I want to smack them!

This happened to me the other day. I was in line at the store, buying just a few things, and this very, rude, woman was behind me. When I saw behind me I mean BEHIND ME! She was about an inch away from me, and accidently bumped into me. I kept scooting up further, but she kept following me. I almost said something. But I didn't...

Wow- I've never thought about that. I'm now going to have a new view when people spit on the ground. Gross.

I hate to see stuff around people's mouths when they're eating ... or worse, AFTER they've finished... :scared:... ESPECIALLY anything WHITE, like milk or mayonnaise, it will make me literally nauseous!!(oh, yeah, I LOVE those "Got Milk" ads... )

I hate bad grammar and bad spelling, it drives me inSANE. I know, I know, I KNOW it is NOT an indicator of a person's intelligence... etc. etc. .... but it still makes me nuts!!! WHY WHY WHY did I move to Georgia?????? :guilty:

My biggest pet peeve is bad customer service, regardless where it comes from. I don't like it when the cashier at the store, (who is snapping gum), is talking to the bag boy about what is going to happen tonight when they go out. I don't like it when an item is on sale and you have to fight with them to get the correct price. I don't like it when your waiter/waitress takes your food order and then you never see him/her again because someone else brings out your food. So no drink refills or a check to make sure your order was correct. And don't get me started on Sears.com. (though I may in fact gripe about them later after my fridge is in my kitchen.)

1. Women who do not sit with their knees politely together. Especially if this woman is also chawing on gum. Ick.

2. On a less disgusting note, but much more irritating to me....when people use the word "good" instead of "well". UHHHGGGGG!!!!!!! VERB - ADVERB!!!!!!
Get it right people! Example - "He played good in the game." should be "he played well in the game". That is my #1 peeve. Can't stand it.

Signs that say "ATM Machine inside". It's not an Automated Teller Machine Machine! "ATM inside" is sufficient.

I haven't really thought about that before! Next time I see one of those signs it's going to bug me! :rotfl:

Well, it's no secret that I also do not enjoy it when people use ellipses as their ONLY form of punctation (see my tag). But I'm learning to cope. :teeth:

That's similar to when people say "6 a.m. in the morning" which bugs me. It's not a major pet peeve of mine, but it IS redundant.
