Your biggest pet peeves - any unusual ones?

People who throw their cig. butts out of the car window.

Men who jingle their coins in their pocket, nail picking, and the worst, Gum chewing/popping with their mouth open. It's SO noisy! I guess it's noises that bother me.

Ok Jo!! Actaully, I picked my kids names based on their nicknames. I pick the nickname first then find a name to fit it. And both of them are called by their nickname. In fact, I dont think they know their first names.:p

I hate to hear people eating crunchy food, chewing gum or slurping. I hate to see any kind of pollution but especially cigarette butts. That little tray in the car is an ASHTRAY--- that's where they go! Bad service is another big pet peeve of mine. I don't like dirty fingernails and it bothers me when people clip or file their nails in public. I was on a flight to Europe once and a French guy with a fear of flying sat next to me. If that wasn't bad enough he began clipping his fingernails into the ashtray on his armrest.

Oh boy... now you asked for it! I have enough pet peeves to fill a book! Here are some right off the top of my head:

*When I'm talking to someone and they don't look at me. They will be looking everywhere but! When one of my employees does that it makes my blood boil and I have to get on them. When my husband does it... arggggghhh

*Having to repeat myself. Matt is CONSTANTLY saying "huh?" to everything I say to him. It especially makes me mad when he says it when I'm halfway through the sentence. Sometimes I don't repeat myself to find he heard what I said just fine.

*Cigarette smokers that flick their butts out of windows or on the ground - or wherever they want for that matter. I was burnt by a jerk when I was riding on a Friendship boat between the Swan and Epcot when he flicked his butt into the wind and it hit my arm. I also can't stand it when they flick the butt on the ground and don't bother to at least step on it to put it out.

*Snorkers. People who have a cold or allergies and snork. I don't mean people with stuffed up noses - I'm talking people with runny noses, and instead of blowing their nose they just walk around sucking it in with a big **SNORK**

*People that talk on cell phones while they are checking out and won't say one word to my sales associates because they are so self absorbed in their conversation. It is so rude!

* People on cell phones while shopping and they talk soooo loud that you hear their end of the conversation from yards away. I guess they don't realize how loud they are talking.

*Trashy people that have to use the f word in every sentence while they are out in public. Especially when there are kids around - or worse.. when it's kids saying it.

*People that don't even say thank you when you hold the door for them. I especially hate it when you were just going to pass the door to them but instead they just walk on through like you are Carlton the Doorman or something.

*People that give their babies product in the store to play with to pacify them, and then they don't buy it. I don't know how many damaged cards or soaking wet plush animals we have had to mark out of stock because they let darling have their fun with it but won't pay for it. And people wonder why prices go up?

*People that let their children run wild in stores and don't watch them or expect the employees of the store to watch them for them. Also, people that act as if their children are gods or goddesses and we should never speak a word of negativity in their direction. So what if that 2 yr old is playing with a $100 glass figurine while mommy is shopping? How dare we say "nono sweetie, that could break and you could get hurt"

*People that dump their trash in parking lots or along side the street.

*People who never turn their turn signal off - like they are going around the world to the right or something.

*Impatient people at stop lights that just have to continually creep up and up and up into the intersection. Then the light turns and it takes them forever to just get going.

*People that AIM for animals in the road like squirrels

*People that can make that crackling noise with gum and do it endlessly

*Talking in the movie theater - man that one gets to me

*People who don't think that rules pertain to them. I get so uptight watching shows like Airline where you see these people that think that they should not have to go by the rules or claim things like "I didn't know you had to be at the airport earlier than 15 minutes before the flight"

*Passive aggressiveness - people that act all innocent while they are doing things knowing it will tick people off

and last but surely not least (but I have to go to work..lol)

*Hypocrits. I HATE it when people act all high and mighty against something and turn around and do it themselves and are totally ignorant of that act or try to rationalize why it's okay for them to act that way.

WOW..you would think that I am one miserable person, huh? ;) Quite the contrary - most of these I just keep to myself and slowly burn in silence..lol.

Wow, that felt good! Thanks for the opportunity to vent :)

You must live close to the Rhode Island border...I went to college in RI...and this ticked me off no end (heck, I don't think cars in RI CAME with turn signals!)
