Your best tips for Typhoon Lagoon

Find your chairs and go straight to shark reef (scubba diving). If you get there first thing in the moring, you will not have to wait in line and you'll be able to do this multiple times. There is also a viewing area for those who are not sucbba diving. You can look right into underwater windows and see the people and the fish/sharks. I took some good pictures of my boyfriend underwater from those windows.

Definitely be prepared when the horn blows!!!!!!!!!

The wave is extremely powerful and knocked me right down on my tush!!!!!!!!

Also?? we got very scraped up on the bottom of the pool, it's very rough so beware of that. I agree with wearing aqua shoes if you can get some...........

I loved just floating around on the tubes, but we spent an entire day there, and had to pry my kids outta there when it closed. It was great fun! Enjoy!

I was a little disappointed in the Shark Reef because it was so crowded when I was there (Sun. 8/3 around 10:30). The set up is beautiful, but I kept getting kicked in the head by others. So definitely go early!

Also, I didn't realize til I got there, but you can bring your own snorkel and mask if you want. That way you'll have a better fit.

Bottom line, I want to go back -- but earlier in the day, and a little later in the year.

Get there early, use plenty of sunscreen and enjoy.

Yes, there are big clocks there so you can keep track of the time.

I would definately bring water shoes, the concrete can get very hot and it is rough.

 OK, I'm confused. Is the shark reef for subba diving, snorkling or both?

We went years ago in October - before Blizzard Beach was open - and it was uncrowded. No line for shark reef (which was the coolest thing) and you could just loop over and over again.

Midweek is better, as the waterparks get a lot of local traffic. And early in the week is better than later in the week, as most people arrive on Saturday or Sunday and do the theme parks first - then the waterparks - making for more crowded Thursdays and Fridays.

We are planning on returning this trip - October again - with a four and five year old who don't swim (they love the water, but neither of them can actually swim yet). Any advice?

Sorry. It's snorkling. LOL! I'm just an observer at shark reef. I go for the "wave". :D

This year BB and TL have switched rehab dates! BB will be closed oct-dec and TL will be closed jan-mar. Evidently they are building something at TL and needed to switch according to the rumor/news board.
