Okay, I am sick and tired of having DS beat me over and over and over and over. So let us all put our heads together and post what we think is the best target (with the biggest points) in the ride. Be very specific.

My tip. After the scan room there are big bugs with guns that are dropping down from the ceiling. They are in a square cut out of the ceiling. Along the back of the square (but not of the bug itself) there are several sensors that give big points.

Next?

oh no damo! You just gave away my favorite target! Now my mom's going to read and shoot at those aliens causing my chance of maxing out to drop (I get a few hundred-thousand points from those aliens alone).

Exhaust ports are a biggie, of course.

My other favorites are aliens in the windows...hard to say specifically which ones without seeing them in person. too hard to explain. Alien on fire hydrant is a favorite of mine. Sometimes I get very few points with him, sometimes a lot. My mom's favorite is the baby carriage.

The sensor on the fire hydrant alien is on the side of his nose. The sensor for the baby carriage is on the side right below the baby.

Hi Damo,

I have the only tip for MIB you will ever need:

IF IT MOVES, SHOOT IT..............IF IT DOESN'T MOVE, SHOOT IT UNTIL IT MOVES.......THEN SHOOT IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Works every time;)

I tried shooting DS but he didn't give me any points. I guess I just couldn't find his sensor:p

Toward the end of the ride I like to shoot at the Mickey Mouse Sorcerer hat on the table on the right.
Can't remember if there's any good points or not, but it sure feels good for some reason.

LOL!!!!!! I love it! :p :p :p

I need to brush up on the MiB hints since my 4yo who I'm bringing to Orlando next week is finally 42" tall and able to go on MiB. I know his score will be terrible, but at least I get to practice before the family trip in April.

My best tip: the exhaust sensor. I know you are going for it but here's the tip. Most people give up after only a few shots to the exhaust. They shoot when they first get out of the scanner and then stop when the car turns away from them. My tip: Turn around and keep hitting the exhaust. It's actually easier to hit when the other car is sideways from you. Hit it, then move the gun just a tiny fraction of an inch and then back on to shoot it again. I've hit the exhaust as much as 20 times. My average is 15 times. At 20,000 points for each hit you can see how it can add up quickly.

Also make sure you get the 100,000 bonus points at the end. My family can get more points by shooting the sensors on the big, big bug but as a novice, you really need that 100,000 so forget the bug sensors and just go for the bonus. Many people wait too long to hit the red button for the bonus. If I'm not still shooting the exhaust when I turn the corner into the big bug, I just hold the red button down as soon as I see the big bug. Don't let up on the button, hold it down until you see the bonus flashing on your score.

Also keep the trigger pulled all through the game (except during the scanners.) My trigger finger gets tired so now I hold the gun with both hands and put one index finger on the trigger and the other index finger over the top of the other finger so my finger doesn't get tired.

We are meeting several MIB fans from IOA Central on Saturday for a ride-athon. If you can make it Saturday, we can help you. Leave your son at home---tell him you're going shopping (evil cackle.) Then you can come home as a pro.

a ride-athon sounds like fun. :) Kick some butt phamton! Make them IOACentral boys cry!! ;) :p

We tried finding the sensors of the big bug...and my mom thought she saw where they were, but we can never get them!! Hmmm...... I finally got maxed out for the firsttime WITHOUT bonus...so that's an improvement for me (other times I was like 20,000 points shy before bonus). Now I just need to max out earlier, and pick up that other gun. :)

Oh yeah, damo...when are you coming down? Would you still like to arrange to meet at a Ghostbusters Show? :)

More like, they'll be making me cry. They are the real pros.

The last few rides, I've maxed out on one gun before the big bug and so I picked up another got another 300,000.

My son has pictures of the sensors on the big bug, if you want him to send it to you. .

**consider it edited phamton!!**

I'd like to see a picture of the sensors for the big bug...they aren't up yet on his site :)

He's loading the pictures on his server right now. When the pictures are up and working and he has removed anything that shouldn't be on the tips, I'll post again with the website address.

I'm afraid that I will never be a pro with or without my 4yo. My 16yo daughter is much better than me and she barely skims over the MiB tips. My DH is better than me and I don't show him the tips. I'm a bad aim I think. I had a real problem last visit getting the bonus points (my daughter kept getting them, though). I'll try hitting the red button sooner. I should reprint the MiB tips to study when in line (not that my son will let me do that...).

Any idea how long the regular rider lines in the middle of the day are on MiB during the slow season? I'll try to make it there early in the day, but I would like to go several times and Jake might not have the patience to do it many times in a row.

Right now MIB is basically a walkon during the weekdays and about a 5-10 minute wait on weekends. If you get there at opening on weekends though, you can still walk on.

Just what I wanted to hear!!! I've been to Universal a couple of times--once in mid-late August and once last Spring vacation, so I've never been during a slow time. I've also always had FOTL before, so this will be a change. I'm planning on a Monday for Universal and a Wednesday for IoA so not a weekend.

Hey Phantom, I rode with your son on Wednesday!!!!! He has longish dark straight hair correct? He told us to go to his website and I was trying to get some tips from him. I already printed out his site. Ask him if he remembers a forty-ish woman with a teenage son and daughter going through the single rider line with him. You weren't by any chance there too were you, trying to max out while we spun you?

Yes, that was him. (long brown hair, tall and skinny) He and I went to MIB yesterday. He just put the pictures up on the website a few minutes so he asked if you printed his website tonight or not.

He's only 15 and I did notice a few spelling errors but I think he did a great job. He took all the pictures himself and didn't copy anone else's guide. I'll put my picture in my signature so you can see what I look like.

He's working on a Hall of Fame to post pictures of anyone who has made the 9's. Anyone who wants to be included can email me a picture of themselves preferably in jpg. format.

When I read the site I thought that he spelled exactly like my DS who is also 15. He's done a really nice job on the site and I am looking forward to trying out his tips. We won't be down again (from Toronto) until May 21.

Keep those tips coming! I printed the website this morning. That was the first thing I did when we got home from Orlando. I've looked at the site again now and will study the pics.
