Hi Gang
Ok here it is...
I have an engineering work conference that is at the Gaylord Palms from June 1st to the 6th. Apparently this is a nice hotel about 4 miles southeast of Epcot. I'll be taking my family with me so there will be 4 of us; DW, DS8, DD4 and myself.
The discounted hotel cost at the Gaylord is $165 per night. However we're now spoiled and I'm planning on staying on-site instead of staying at the Gaylord. I know we can get the Swan/Dolphin for approximately $200 per night and we're thinking of doing that and eating the difference between $165 which is what my work would cover for the Gaylord. We also have enough SPG points to have an extra 5 nights free at the Swan/Dolphin as well. So that would mean we could stay a total of 11 nights at the Swan/Dolphin. So cool!!!!
This sounds really good to me however I'm wondering if I'm missing anything. Should we stay somewhere else while I'm attending the conference. Please let me know what your advice is. What would you do?
Thanks
Andy
