I am running out of ideas to book....thought I was going to use up our last 2 TS credits for HDDR, but CM said we can only go to 9:30 seating with DDP. This was after CRT was crossed off the list b/c they are closing at 6pm for whatever reason all week. so i am back to the drawing board for our last meal. I prefer dinner since we already have 3 breakfasts planned but am open to any ideas...

So far I have:
CM dinner
CP breakfast
Akershus breakfast
Chefs dinner (my bday!)
OHana breakfast
Kona dinner

Planning on CS at WPE one night.

Any ideas for another TS? WHat is your favorite? I dont care if it takes 2 credits? We can pay OOP for a meal...

Please help!!! TIA!!

Our favorites are:

Le Cellier (dinner)
Teppan Edo (dinner)
Tutto Italia (dinner)
and Sci-Fi for lunch.

Our favorite is LeCellier for the cheddar cheese soup, pretzel and sourdough bread, the filet with cream cheese mashed potatos. I then end it with Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake and DH usually gets the Chocolate Moose.

for us:

lunch at sci-fi (burgers, fries, rings, shakes)

lunch at LTT (turkey dinner, rolls, honey-butter)

dinner at le cellier (cheddar cheese soup, filet)

dinner at narcoosees (crab cakes, lobster, almond crusted cheesecake)

I used to love Alfredo's and Concourse Steakhouse, but they've closed. *weep*

So now I really don't have any must do dining places. We really enjoyed Coral Reef when we were there, but they keep changing the menu, so I never know what I like anymore.

Le Cellier sounds really good. I've never been there.

You have some good ones picked out so far!

I know some people will probably call me crazy, but we always have to do WCC, either for breakfast or dinner. My DH is so in love with that place and my kids adore the antics that go on. Last time (in 2007) the waitress made it known that my FIL was eating too much beans and to warn everyone who goes near him :rotfl: It is such a fun atmosphere and the food is awesome...especially their bottomless milkshakes.

I would recommend Boma (for breakfast or dinner). The food is fantastic, and if you have time, you could take a look around AKL. Lots of great stuff to see there! We never miss Boma on our trips!

We also love Cali Grill, but with your baby that may not be the best choice...it definitely takes a while to eat there.

thanks for all of your suggestions! anyone think i should cancel chefs and replace it w/ cellier? otherwise, cant fit in cellier due to us not having hoppers.

i went to boma a few years ago...im pretty picky and it didnt really appeal to me. maybe i should try it again. i was thinking jiko also.

endless milkshakes at WCC sound good. i also like the menu at 50sPTC.

hmmmnnn, decisions, decisions...,.

We really ejoyed room service from Jiko on our most recent trip. I think this could be our favorite restaurant, but with 2 young kids it is not realistic to go eat there. If you don't have little kids or if you have kids that actually behave at dinner I suggest Jiko.

But if you do have little wiggly kids, then I suggest Boma. I really enjoyed to food here too. The atmosphere was great (considering it is a buffet) and there was such a wide selection--nothing too exotic, but I enjoyed the variety it offered over the same old same old buffet.

My point of view may be skewed as I don't like many meats (I basically only eat chicken). Both these AKL restaurants offered ample non-meaty options for me.

If you aren't staying at AKL, then go a little early and check out the animals, or hit the storytelling by the fire pit or just get a drink in the lounge and relax.

I am in the minority cuz I don't think Le Cellier is all that special. Nor Chef's.

I love Biergarten and Teppan Edo for the fun atmosphere and also Boma for the food. 50's PT is fun, that's a good choice. Also, Spoodles on the Boardwalk or Flying Fish if you like seafood. Also, there is always T Rex at DTD.

 ok, so i did some digging and found out that you CAN use DDP at the early seatings of HDDR, unlike the 1st CM told me... ...so I booked that and changed my bday dinner from chefs to cellier.

i think our list looks pretty good! thanks for your suggestions!

maybe we can squeeze in 50s for an early lunch...decent prices for OOP meal...

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I always enjoy the Coral Reef. It is a must do for DH and I. We love it for the tank of course (been 5 times and never sat anywhere but by the tank) and then we also love the menu.
Another fav is the Brown Derby~ love it. The Cobb Salad is DIVINE!

Boma breakfast, we just love it so much!

We are heading to Disney in 2.5 weeks and using the DDP for the 730 res at the Hoop dee doo. The 930 is only available to DDP if you want to sit in the first section. If you don't mind sitting upstairs (balcony overlooking the stage), I believe you can dine anytime you want. We had no issue with our booking. Not sure why the dining rep told you otherwise,

We love Boma. We are a family of 4, 3 of whom are very picky eaters(the meat on the plate must not touch any of the limited side dishes), and 1 who is an adventure eater. This place is fantastic, and you will NOT leave hungry.

Having been a long-time Dis-er, I occasionally see someone who says Boma was too exotic for them, but those posts are few and far between.:earsboy:

Ohanas!!! Love it!!

For dinner.

But we love lots of places:

Le Cellier
Tutto Itallia
Yak and Yeti
Garden Grill
Coral Reef

Just to name a few!

:thumbsup2

Boma is our absolute must do on every trip now. We really enjoy both meals there but dinner is our favorite. I would give anything to have that Bertina's pasta salad right now!
